There was a story amidst all the sex, but I felt it was weak.
First impression of the hero -not good.
I struggled with this book and am generously giving it 3⭐️.

Once again we are back in Rock Hard and caught up in another mystery. Charlotte Hart set her sights on the sexy detective who protected her from a stalker. Moving back to Rock hard gets her closer to her parents and the object of her desire. Trent Lawson knows he is not the one for Charlotte, he is married to his work and not sure how to do a relationship. Both are determined, the heart and brain are doing battle and a case keeps drawing them together. This was a fun book, there is a lot of drama, several different twist and turns and a mystery of sorts to solve. The interaction between the characters was original and very realistic, the storyline keeps your attention and you are not sure of the outcome until right up to the very end. This was a great addition to the Montana series and I look forward to seeing what the author comes up with next.

So Good!
I loved this book and devoured it in hours. It’s my first by this author and I’m hooked. Loved the chemistry between Charlotte and Trent. How can she get him to notice her? He sure can’t get enough of her, their chemistry is totally off the charts. Plus, she really understands him since she’s a cop’s daughter. But is he protecting her or causing someone to want to harm her due to his job? There’s so much suspense and if he’ll catch the killer. Loved the ending too, we definitely get a happy ever after. I will be reading more from this author. I highly recommend this book.

Great Read
Wow Charlotte and Trent make an awesome couple and I was excited to that Charlotte was able to help Trent overcome some of issues he had about his job and his personal life.

I was given a copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest opinion.
I love going to Rock Hard, Montana. It is like going home to visit dear friends. I have only read book #4, Hart to Hart, but it was great to see Charlotte and Trent get their own book. I do want to read books #1-3.
I love that this book had so much.

Another great read by Vella Day. This is book 5 of the series and I really enjoyed it.
The one thing I missed though was seeing more of the characters from the previous books. We saw of course lots of Vic and a wee bit of Cade but that was really about it until the very end did we see some of the other characters but no interactions with them.
This book had a lil bit of everything; Intrigue, romance, heartache (but no heart twinges this time and no tears), deception, redemption and of course a HEA.
Loved the characters, their dialogue was engaging, the descriptions to details was done well and the characters themselves were entertaining and well written. Loved the storyline too. Can not wait for the next book which I assume will be about Harmon (I hope). I would love to see his HEA next.
This is written as a multi pov. This can be read as a stand alone.

Loved going back to Rock Hard! This story continues the great stories of the residents with Trent and Charlotte. We met both of them in the previous book when Vic's family was introduced. Trent is a cop who gives it 110% but then he meets Charlotte and he starts questioning his choices because he can't seem to think straight around her. The chemistry and the sparks fly off the pages because these two are so hot. I love that although Trent is an alpha male, Charlotte is not a timed woman and is not afraid to say what she wants and is certainly not afraid to go after what she wants. I love this series and loved meeting new characters and the suspense that is always a part of the stories. I think it is amazing that most of the woman characters in these stories are strong women. I could read about Rock Hard forever! Vella writes such intense stories but never cheats on the heat! Love, love, love this story!

Book 5 in the Montana Promises series has everything you could want in a novel, romance, suspense, action, and my favorite a sassy heroine to keep the hero on his toes. I loved Charlotte's character, she was sweet, strong, independent, occasionally in need of rescue, and feisty, the perfect foil to Trent's character. I have been looking forward to this story since the first time Charlotte and Trent met in book 4 and it did not disappoint! I haven't read books 1-3 of this series, but I look forward to catching up and meeting some of the characters mentioned from previous books. Although previous characters make small appearances, you don't need to read the series to understand the book, but it would make it more fun!
I can't wait to see what's next for Rock Hard, Montana. I would definitely recommend this book to any romance reader, especially those that love cops (detectives), and a good dose of intrigue in a story.

Ever since Charlotte was given into Trent's keeping for safety, she has IT for him. Now, she just has to get Trent to admit he feels the same way. I love how she doesn't give up. She knows what she wants and she will get it.
When a murderer gets close, Trent will do anything to keep her safe. He loves her and won't lose her.
Another wonderful book in the series. Each book is a peek in the life of the residents of Rock Hard Montana.

I am so glad there was a book about Trent. He deserved to find someone who could handle his life. I just wish there was a book on Sharon & Dan.. This is a must read series..
