what did I think
4 and half stars
this is the kind of romance I love to read, finished the same day I started it and while I did love it I'm giving it a 4 and half stars rating, its not the story it was me , I knew that when I start to get a migraine that I don't read but I decide to any way will be getting the rest of this series when I can

Quick read
The book was ok. It moved very fast. The characters were kind of boring. The ending is a sticky sweet anti-climax. Three stars because it did what I needed it to do. Mind candy. No thinking required.

I enjoyed listening this book! It was a fun, enjoyable, second chance romance. I like Claire's character. She's strong, smart, confident and independent woman. I enjoyed the banter between her and Antonio. The narration was great! Jennifer Knighton did a great job! It's my first listen from her and I'm looking forward to listening more books narrated by her.

Would you marry a man in order for him to secure his inheritance? Would you marry this same guy after you've been together before but his father told you to your face that you are a whore and this said man didn't defend you or try to call off his dad? Would you marry this man if you knew the marriage is a sham and intended to last only a month?
Antonio Rosso is in a bind. His father has died and left his mother's most favorite villa to Claire Bennett. Antonio can't collect his inheritance until he is married. In Greek law, one month is considered long enough before you are eligible for a divorce. He was close to his mother but she died years ago in a car accident.
Claire comes to Greece to do a job as a voice-over actress (is that what you call them?) She doesn't know that the company she has been hired to work for is owned by Antonio until she shows up at the office and he's waiting for her.
He's already decided he wants to marry her to get the villa back. She agrees to go through with it.
The characters in this story were endearing and had some good chemistry between them. The story isn't so long with a fast plot, and good writing.
I enjoyed this so much and will read the next book sometime in the future.

this was a great story of second chances with a few twists. they meet as young students, he is from wealth and his dad saw her as a gold digger. They go their separate ways, but the father realises he made a mistake so even after his death he tries to correct his error. There is great moments and how the story unfolds you can't help but fall in love with it, and Leslie North never fails to give a bit of everything in these books.

I was not liking the writing style. The use of the constant past tense while in the present was odd. The writing just felt a bit off.

Can they keep on pretending? Antonio do whatever it takes to get his mother's villa back even if that means marrying a woman that he doesn't know. Claire can't believe that she was left a villa especially by Matthias he hated her so why? Claire knows that it is going to be hard working with Antonio hanging around she will just need to be stronger this time. He hurt her badly when he never stood up to his father. She thought that they had something special but that is all in the past. so when he says that they need to get married she knows that thing are going to become messy. She can't marry him that isn't happening those days are over but he is going to give up. But they both know that things won't be easy. Can they put the past behind them and move forward? A good read.

Brilliant story which I totally enjoyed and would thoroughly recommend hoping that others enjoy it as much as I did. Antonio is mad when he realises that his father who recently died left a property that has the body of his mother buried on it to the woman that he was in love with years before. Also he can't believe that to inherit he needs to marry before his next birthday. He then realises that the only woman he wants to marry is Claire the person his father left the property to. Being told that she is going to marry Antonio the man she loved but never stuck up for her against his father amazes her and then to be advised that the marriage will only last one month and will be consummated. Can these two people overcome all the obstacles and be together and realise that they still love one another or are they doomed.

NOT THAT SATISFIED
I like the plot.But Im not satisfied with some parts of the story.He should have put more efforts for Claire.A woman doesn't deserve to be treated the way they treated Claire. And what? Just like that? In the end.Its still Claire who pushed their pretend marriage to be real? the guy will just give up without a fight? He should be the one stopping Claire to leave him.Stop Claire to divorce him because he's one of the biggest ass! I've read that HE THOUGH he loved her.He's not sure about his feelings for her and I don't like it.

Didn't like the story...
I didn't like the story as I found the hero ( supposedly ) to be weak.
The heroine was abit better, but not by much, And I didn't really feel any connection between the two. I like the writer, so i will continue to read her stories, but in all honesty I can't recommend this one.

Right in a wrong
Antonio must marry to gain the inheritance for himself and his two sisters. He also wants his mother's home back. It was left to a woman from his past. His idea is to marry her for what he wants but what about love. The female character could have been stronger. There should have been more groveling and maybe and explanation letter from the deceased.

It’s just so sudden. They agreed to stay married for a month. they went to honeymoon and have sex like rabbits. When it’s almost time for the divorce, the heroine was the one who first admitted she wanted to stay married for real. Brrr.

The title of this book is misleading - the girl is NOT blackmailed into marriage, thankfully.
The climax and resolution went by so quickly - a matter of sentences, that indeed I felt cheated and left hanging. Wham, bam, thank you ma’am.

The concept of this story wasn’t bad, but I felt it needed more development. I had a difficult time caring how things would work out for the characters…then all of a sudden everything is great and the story ends.

So rushed it wasn't worth the read
No depth to the characters and no story development. The characters moods and opinions changed with the wind and presented as disingenuous.

What a beautiful story. I was hooked from start to finish. I do wish the ending was a little different. But overall I absolutely enjoyed listening to this audiobook!
