Hayden returned from the realm of anti-magic tired, beaten, and shaking off the after-effects of insanity. The good news is that he managed to successfully close the schism behind him when he passed through. The bad news is that it seems he brought The Dark Prism with him.

In the final installment of The Broken Prism series, Hayden learns that his father was not quite as dead as everyone spent the last five years thinking. But has Aleric Frost's time in the other realm cured him of his mental distortion, or is he still poised to take over the Nine Lands once more? How did he even end up in the schism in the first place, and where has the Black Prism been all this time? These are just some of the questions that Hayden must find the answers to, but they pale in comparison to the thing that has been plaguing his imagination since the age of ten.

Why did his father visit him on the day his mother died, and did he ever get what he was after? Hayden's life now depends on the answer.

I loved it! it was a good end to the series tho I kind of want to know what happens as he furthers his knowledge. The end is really funny I wish there was more in the fact of the fight it would have been better if V. St. Clair drew it out longer than a few spells and then Tess shooting the dark prism in the back with an arrow it should have been that they turned him into a mushroom that would have been funny because now I wonder what importance did that have if they didn't use the spell Haden found explain that to me it doesn't make sense he found it why not use it to your advantage they could have poisoned him and weekend him wile he tried to heal him self.

End of an era

I have read the books in this series multiple times. I still laugh at places. This book and the last one are more serious I grant you. This book still has is moments. I can not wait to see what this author thinks of next. I will be definitely giving it a chance.

Good ending to a great series.

This final book seemed a little rushed in the plot. I still enjoyed it but felt that the story was going to add more depth to Hayden's father but it just ended with him being crazy.

This is the fifth book in the Broken Prism series. Excellent YA fantasy with some similarities to Harry Potter but definitely not a clone of HP. I don't know whether this is the final book in the series, but this one wrapped the loose ends up quite nicely so it is likely. Highly recommended.

I have enjoyed the series as whole. But this last book was disappointing. Which is sad because I was expecting something better. Everything in the plot was too predictable, no plot twists and way too many convenient coincidences to reach to the ending. The plot Armor for our protagonists was way too strong. As a whole it felt like a good series and the overall magic system and characters were pleasant. It could have been great if the plot was more thought out. I could accurately guess most of the major "revelations" way before they happened, if things were kept a little subtle then maybe it could have been better. By the middle-end I was 100% sure of what was going to happen next which was a huge let down.

This book started off as a Harry Potter clone, but has since then progressed to an individual entity on its own. I read this series at a cost of nothing using my Kindle Unlimited account. So far worth every penny. The series did not have too many plot twists, but was engaging and fast-paced nonetheless. Do not misjudge these books based on my rating, I have read too many fantasy books lately for a book to completely bowl me over! I totally recommend this series to readers who are young or new to fantasy genre.

Great conclusion to the series. Wish their was a sequel series since there is so much uncovered topics. I wanna see what Hayden does with his life, how they solve the large amount of monsters problem, and all those other miscellaneous stuff that was dropped along the way

Amazing saga, thought I didn’t like the end; it was abrupt and I would have love to see a more epic end for the Dark Prism.

Wow I did not see that coming! All those years no one had any idea Aleric was after Hayden's Source. I was really hoping he would repair Hayden's foci that would have been pretty cool but... I didn't expect it.
Aleric's story seems a mix between Voldemort and Darth Vader. Actually think it'd be a good prequel story the beginning of the Dark Prism. Would also like to read more about Hayden if he becomes a monster hunter etc.

I expected Tess to play a major part in taking down Aleric just not quite that much. And Cinder wow that was amazing! Great ending.

Awesome book

Loved this Book stayed up all night to finish.
It was a little slow at the prison point but not slow enough to take away a star.
Recommended to everyone but first start from the beginning.

Really great ending to a great story. Only reason for 4 stars is I felt there was a lot of extraneous things that really didn't need to be in the book.

A poignant end to a tragic saga. Terrible end between family, yet hopeful for the people in the Nine Lands.

The fifth and final book of the series. I read all five books within a week and I was absolutely enamoured by it. Hayden wasn't perfect or brave and had outbursts of anger now and then and was clearly flawed. A good main character as a whole.
Master Asher has definitely been my favourite throughout the series and I found myself trusting Asher 100% whereas with other series, I find myself to be much more wary of characters for at least a while. Asher's eccentric behaviours and bouts of genius were incredible and I loved Bonk's continuing clumsiness as a whole.
An amazing read, a Harry Potter-like series with darker themes and a more interesting and well thought out magic system. The only downside, personally, was that I wish the plot was thicker, as each book got smaller and smaller rather than getting bigger as the plot grew. As well as this, I was slightly disappointed that it seemed to end so abruptly. I was hoping for a chapter (or a few) of an aftermath after the final battle, before moving onto what felt like a rushed epilogue.

Besides this, the Frost Prism was the darkest book of the series, although had a sprinkle of humour that V.St Claire has shown in the other books. It definitely gave most of the answers to the questions readers have been asking since book one. There is a brief Asher POV and a Zane POV, both of which I enjoyed the change of very much, as you could clearly tell the difference between POVs by the thoughts and pacing of the character.

It was an enticing read and I enjoyed it very much. 5 stars.
