Lark Warren can never stay one person for too long, so when her past starts to catch up to her, she hops the first bus out of DC, steals a new name, and goes deep into hiding in New Orleans. Unfortunately, all it takes is the wrong set of eyes to blow her cover. Enter Vaughn—the man she once let too close to her real self. Ex-Navy SEAL Vaughn Wilde has one objective: drive Lark back to DC to face charges for identity theft—which would be easier if he could forget the three lust-filled weeks he shared with her before she disappeared. With each passing mile, he can’t ignore the heat still sparking between them…or the fact he has led her enemies right to her.
Lark can’t stay with Vaughn, not when it will put him in the crosshairs of the dangerous man she’s spent the last five years running from. But Vaughn is determined to keep her safe—even if it means she’ll run off with his heart all over again.
Tonya Burrows wrote her first romance at age thirteen and hasn't put down her pen since. Originally from a small town in Western New York, she suffers from a bad case of wanderlust and is still searching for a place to call home. She shares her adventures with her husband, two adorable doodles, and Scribble the Writer Cat.
When she's not writing about hunky military heroes and their courageous K9s, Tonya can be found watching either true crime or baking shows while snuggled up on the couch with her furbabies. She also enjoys traveling—especially long road trips to see the National Parks.

Tonya Burrows picks up the pace again in the fourth book of the Wilde Security series. Thankfully, after being left more than disappointed with its predecessor Wilde at Heart; Vaughn and Lark’s story was a more welcome addition to what is overall still a pretty good series.
This one had a bit of a 'Road-Trip' theme running through it, as well as a healthy dose of 'Cat & Mouse' to keep the plot moving. Lark has been on the run for longer than she cares to remember, and Vaughn is the first man to have ever caught up with her until now that is.
"You’re cute I’ll give you that."
Both are dealing with separate issues as their reconnection grows, Vaughn has unwittingly put himself in the cross-hairs of the local mob boss, who is looking to 'Make him an offer he can’t refuse', and Larks reasons for being on the run and changing her identity on a regular basis are also revealed.
The banter between the Wilde brothers is stellar as usual, and I liked the slight cross-over between this one and the HORNET series. I did struggle a little with the actual connection between Lark and Vaughn for most of the book, but as is to be expected Tonya delivers with the sexy-times.
The elusive and for the most part unknown, Greer Wilde is due to have his story told next, and bearing in mind he had played almost no part in the series so far, I am interested to see what adventure Tonya takes us on with his story.

We finally get to discover who Lark Warren really is and put the broody Vaughn Wilde out of his misery...maybe. They hooked up at his twin brother Cam's wedding, spent a couple of intense weeks together and then she disappeared. When he looked into her background, Vaughn discovered she'd used several aliases before the current one but never found the first and real. A chance discovery in New Orleans puts them on a road trip together as he brings her back (unwillingly) to Washington, DC.
The fast pace of the story starts right away and never lets up! Lark, or Sage as she's now called, doesn't reveal herself easily and her layers are peeled back slowly over the course of the book. Don't assume that you know Vaughn because you've read Cam's story as these two men, though identical twins, couldn't be more different. His story is equally compelling as Lark's and together they're enigmatic.
I loved this book, even with a couple of plot directions that required a bit of belief suspension. It was tension filled with quite a few explosive action scenes. There were also some crossover characters from the HORNET series (to my delight). I'm still enjoying the Wilde brothers and their expanding family. I'm looking forward to Greer's story, which is next up.
(I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review)
Oh yeah, now that's a Wilde brother. Grumpy Vaughn was perfect for Lark and had been since Cam's book. Now we know why she ran, then tried to run again, and again. But Vaughn never stopped looking for her. Boy, was it hot when they got together. It was nice seeing all the brothers and their wives again plus there were a couple of HORNET boys thrown in too.
Vaughn may be Cam's identical twin but personality wise they couldn't be more different, Vaughn is the intense and broody one who takes life very seriously but that's probably because deep down he feels things more than most and he doesn't want anyone else to realise he's so sensitive. We got a glimpse of the great chemistry between Vaughn and Lark in the previous books but then Lark did a disappearing act leaving Vaughn confused, hurt and angry. Lark has covered her tracks well but Vaughn is nothing if he's not persistent and he is determined to hunt her down and get answers. As it turns out Lark had a very good reason for running and now Vaughn has brought her enemies straight to her door putting her life at risk. No way he's going to walk away and leave her in trouble though so he calls on his brothers and a few friends to help keep her safe.
I have to say I absolutely loved Vaughn, in fact I think he might even be my favourite Wilde brother so far which is saying something because they've all been fab! I don't know what it is about a dark and broody hero that does it for me but it totally works in this case, especially when you discover that underneath that tough surface Vaughn has a gooey marshmallow centre. He loves his brothers but watching them all settle down and find love has made him realise how much he is missing out on and just when he thought that he might be about to find the same happiness Lark did a runner on him. He's hurt and angry at what he feels is a betrayal but no matter how much Lark frustrates him all he really wants is to make sure she is safe and well. Oh he likes to pretend that he's planning on handing her over to the authorities for identity theft but we all know he'd never go through with it.
I'm not going to tell you about what Lark is running from or whether Vaughn and the others are able to help her fix her problems, you'll just have to read the book if you want to find out, but instead I'll mention how great I thought she was. She's smart, resourceful and a survivor who escaped from a horrendous situation and is now fighting hard keep herself alive. Yes, she's stolen people's identities but she's only ever used their names to find employment and has never run up debts by taking out credit under her assumed identities. It would have been easier for her if she'd been willing to take that extra step but she's not a criminal by choice and all she really wants is to be able to settle down and live an honest life.
I did have a few minor issues with the plot but it's really hard to say what it was that bugged me without giving spoilers. I just felt that a few things at the beginning were a little too convenient when you realise how they tie into Lark's past and I also wasn't that pleased with the turn that things took when Cam was captured. I would have liked Lark and Vaughn to have discussed things like adults and for her to have put a little more faith in him from the beginning. Like I said those were minor things though and I still really enjoyed this story. They are a great couple with fantastic chemistry and I was rooting for them to figure out a way to solve Lark's problems. I also loved getting to catch up with the other Wilde brothers as well as a couple of the HORNET boys. I'm hoping that means we're going to get books for Marcus and Jean-Luc sooner rather than later but what I REALLY want to know is where is that elusive final Wilde boy Greer has got to and what kind of trouble he's in?
The Wilde brothers are back and they don't disappoint. Vaughn and Lark's story has been brewing over the series so far and Tonya Burrows brings her reader a passionate action-packed romance.
I love a brooding, grumpy, intense man who, when you peel back his layers, is a complete sweetheart; Vaughn Wilde is that. He stole Lark's heart after Jude and Libby's wedding and when she ran, she took his with her. But when he finds her, he discovers not only does she have a new name, but the flame between them is still burning bright.
"Don't move." "I hate you." "Good. Means I'm doing something right."
Lark and Vaughn complimented each other and as a couple worked well for me. Their verbal sparring and stubbornness created sexual tension, but they also both have vulnerabilities and a softer side and this leads to a heat-filled journey.
The last book in the series, Wilde at Heart didn't work out too well for me, but Running Wilde puts the series back on track and is a worthy addition. Granted I worked out the mystery surrounding Lark around the halfway mark but with some character crossover from Tonya's HORNET series, and the Wilde brothers and their spouses featuring prominently throughout bringing humorous and heartfelt content, it was an all round enjoyable read. The foundations are set for Greer's story, and I look forward to seeing what lies in store.

Hot, hot, hot romance and a simmering, suspenseful plot. Throw in some dark humor and you have a really fantastic romantic-suspense. I have never read a bad book from Tonya Burrows and this one is just as good as her others.
Lark is on the run, having had seven different identities so far. She made the mistake of getting to close to Vaughn Wilde and then disappearing taking his SEAL pin and his heart with her. Vaughn is on a mission to find her and bring her to justice. By doing this he may just bring her death.
One of the first things that came to mind when I finished this book was why have I not read the others in the series? I agreed to review this new release not realizing it was a part of a series, but now that I have had a taste, figuratively, unfortunately, of the Wilde boys, that will change.
This book was an attention grabber from the beginning. Who can resist a hot man chasing after a woman who has done him wrong, for whatever the reason?
Lark is an issue for Vaughn and offers many steamy hot memories too. This book is loaded with sweet scenes of lust and hot dialogs that will make you sweat. They obviously have a past and that past become clear as the book progresses. But Vaughn has determined that he has found his woman, in more ways than one. Lark is the one that needs to get on board and trust.
While this book should be read as part of the series, I really did not have too much issue following along. I just know that I missed a lot of the running theme but the author did a great job keeping the reader involved at all times.
Loads of suspense and plenty of action keeps the reader engrossed. A unique story with a lovely HEA and plenty of surprises along the way too. This author knows how to tell a story that you will remember for a long time. Now I have to check out the other books in the series!
Awesome read! Vaughn Wilde is intense, brooding, and damn sexy. Feeling a little lost after leaving the SEAL's and coming back to work with his brothers, he can't get the woman who disappeared on him out of his head. Lark got under his skin and when she left she took something important to him. He's been looking for her ever since. Now's he found her and intends to bring her back to face what she's done. They start off on a road trip from hell and find themselves really getting to know the other. The more she gets to know Vaughn the more she knows she needs to get away from him...to keep him safe. Vaughn is determined not to let that happen.
Definitely a book you want to read. I highly recommend it.
Rating 4.5/5 Sometimes the best laid plans, made with the most honourable of intentions, can have unforeseen, detrimental consequences . . . that’s what happens when grumpy, irritated, Vaughn Wilde seeks his ex-girlfriend and identity stealer, Lark Warren. He doesn’t know why she’s running or what she’s running from, pretending he doesn’t care, but she’s scared and adamant that his finding her puts her life in imminent danger and he knows she’s telling the truth.
This is a romance where underworld scheming by mafia type families threaten everyone helping Lark/Sage. Ex Navy SEAL Vaughn certainly wasn’t expecting to himself and his family involved in such situations, despite her warnings. You’ll just have to read it yourself to discover what the story is behind all this!
The characters are well developed, the action fast paced and the plot has plenty of twists and turns to keep readers enthralled and page turning. It is a well written, riveting addition to the series, though it also works well as a stand alone novel in its own right. Whilst this story does finish, there are enough clues and hints to ensure readers like me really want to know what has happened to their elder brother, Greer - I can’t wait to find out! Needless to say, a great story that I have no hesitation in highly recommending to anyone who enjoys action packed thriller romances involving a close family.
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for this, an honest review.
What an exciting story! Action packed from the start, this is the story of Vaughn and his search for Lark (or Sage, or whatever name she's going by now), a woman he met earlier in the series but who has disappeared. (no worries, each story is standalone, so you can pick this one up as is without losing any of the backstory, as it's well explained here). She's on the run but it doesn't take long for him to catch up to her, despite her best efforts to remain hidden. What follows then is a bit of cat and mouse until she comes to the conclusion that staying with Vaughn will be safer for her in the long run. Because they have a bit of history it doesn't take long for them to end up in bed together in some very steamy scenes. I liked how the plot unfolded, it was fast paced and kept me entertained from beginning to end. Though at times it didn't seem possible, the foes are eventually vanquished (for now) and they get their happy ending. There are some great cameos from other characters in both the Wilde Security and the Hornet series as well. The story ends with a teaser for the next Wilde brother, Greer who has gone missing. Looking forward to that one too! 4 stars.

What happens when you find the one that got away only to find out she’s in way more trouble than you ever expected and that you still can’t let her go? Well strap in, hold on and get ready for the roller-coaster ride that is Running Wilde and yes its Vaughn’s and Lark’s story and it’s oh so good.
“Oh…Vaughn!” His name was a half sob, half gasp. He reached up, found her hand clawing at the duvet, and entwined their fingers. “Yeah, I’m right here with you, vixen.”
I’ve been semi patient waiting for this story (oh who am I kidding, I’ve been desperate for it) and now that I’ve read I can honestly say that it was totally worth the wait. You will be hooked from the first page, holding your breath through big parts of the story and will finish it ready for the next one. But you will put it down knowing that you’ve read a great book and that Vaugh finally has Lark in his life. No, before you call spoiler, that’s not a spoiler, it’s a romance novel of course it has a HEA!
“She’d never felt so whole as when she was with him. It was something beautiful and special. Something she’d never had before and would likely never have again.”
We’ve seen the chemistry between these two and it sparks and flies even more in Running Wilde. Though they shouldn’t be perfect for each other they are. Lark brings out the best in Vaughn and he brings a sense of happiness and peace in Lark. Okay she also brings out the uber protective alpha side of him but it so much fun to read his reactions.
Throw them together on a road trip that only brings them closer and closer to danger, each other and to the shock revelation of who Lark really is and what she has been running from all this time. When the truth comes out I admit to a WTF moment. I never saw that coming.
“I don’t care what your name is. All that matters is you’re mine now. You’re mine, and I’m not letting you run anymore.”
I loved these characters so damn much. Vaughn and his loyalty to his family and those he loves. Lark for what she endured and her strength to keep going. And of course the rest of the Wilde brothers and wives. That’s one family I would love to be part of.
I both can’t wait for the final Wilde book and Greer’s story and hate to see this series end. It’s become a favourite and I see lots of re-reads in my future. I loved this book, plain and simple. It never quite went where I expected it to and that only made it so much better. It proved why Tonya Burrows is an auto buy author for me. Especially when she so cleverly crosses her series over in the form of Hornet characters that fans of both series will love and appreciate. Man I love these books.
This is Vaughn Wilde’s story. He is an X- Navy Seal who encounters his ex-girlfriend who is also wanted for ID theft, Lark Warren. He loved her so much yet he can’t let her know how she feels . He is supposed to bring her back to DC to face the music so to speak-she is supposed to be brought to face charges for the identify theft. Lark Warren has been running to protect Vaughan and his family from her past=- a past that contains mafia figures that want her dead. Due to Vaughn looking for her and finding her, now they are closer than ever and since he found out, they cant be that far behind. Lark used to be known in a world years before as Sage and her life was such a sad little life and after getting involved with the wrong man and running for her life and then meeting the right man{Vaughn}, Lark had to run to protect the man she loved and his family. Now that he has found her again, they are on the run to make sure those mobsters can’t get to them until they can to a place of safety. There is action and suspense, there is angst and anger. Vaughn doesn’t know what to believe but all he knows is he still loves Lark. But can he forgive her for her lies and deception? There is so much emotion and passion, even with the anger. Vaughn was considered the moody and harsh Wilde brother but when it comes to Lark, she mellows him out . The love is there and yes, there is PASSION. I loved how we saw why she left and why she did what she did. Lark was a complex woman who wasn’t raised with a good home life yet she did what she thought was righ and though she did some pretty wrong things, she did a lot of it out of love for Vaughn. I totally understood why . Vaughn is a man who , when he finally fell in love, he fell hard and that’s why he did some of the things he did to Lark. I think, when reading this story, at times I was yelling at both of the MCs to wake up and go to each other and just get back together. When they finally woke up to what they had, it was terrific. The 2nd chance love story that they have was great and I hope that there are more Wilde books on the horizon. My rating: 4.5 stars ****

It's clear that there's more to Lark Warren than she would have made everyone think when she was introduced in the series. Having an affair with an ex-Navy SEAL who just happens to have a security agency with his brothers proves to be her undoing because the minute she disappeared on him, Vaughn Wilde made it his mission to find her. I had a suspicion about how everything in the story tied on, but when the specific details made themselves known, even I had to take a minute to absorb the truth about Lark's identity and the circumstances that forced her to do what she did. There's no denying the attraction that continues to linger between Lark and Vaughn, but they've got a lot of issues that they need to address and they need to work on the trust that Lark is hesitant to give and that Vaughn gave to Lark freely before.
I think Lark has to be my favorite heroine in the series so far, and a lot of that has to do with her being a survivor and doing what she believed was necessary in order to not just be one step ahead of her enemies, but be miles away. She's strong-willed and independent, but when she allows herself to be vulnerable and to be open to her feelings, she's even easier to like. She's human, she makes mistakes, and yes, there are times that her fear gets the better of her, but having Vaughn's love is what makes her far more formidable Seeing her transformation and her relationship with Vaughn evolve are part and parcel of what made this fourth book in the series a really good read. With oldest brother Greer Wilde's story set to end the Wilde Security series, I'm excited to see how Tonya Burrows wraps everything up. 4.5 stars for Running Wilde.
Man, I love this series! It just gets better and better. Vaughn, grumpy, abrasive, moody, loyal and persistent Vaughn...so irresistible! I liked him from the start, but I loved him after what he did for his twin in the last book. The backstory for this couple starts there. Vaughn and Lark have a brief but deeply felt affair. When Lark senses herself getting too close and caring too much, she runs away to keep Vaughn safe from the danger he doesn't know is stalking her steps.
Vaughn wakes up from a serious injury only to find Lark gone and his SEAL trident missing with her. He vows to find her and retrieve his pin no matter what. As soon as he is able, he heads to New Orleans hot on her trail. He doesn't realize he has attracted the attention of the very person she is running from and brought her tormentor right to her door. Vaughn tells himself he only wants to see Lark punished legally for her deceptions, but it doesn't take him long to realize that all he really wants is Lark...forever. Before he can have what he wants, he has to convince her to tell him who hunts her and let him help her end it.
As is typical for this series, the story was full of super sexy suspense lots of action, and the oh so awesome Wilde brothers. Up next, Greer. I absolutely cannot wait to know what is going on with him. Hurry up book five!

I'm a fan of this author and I'm always blown away by how well researched, written and realistic Tonya's books are.
In true Tonya Burrows' style, Running Wilde although part of the Wilde Security series entwines perfectly with her HORNET series, setting up one of the upcoming novels in that series *at least I hope that*.
This one focuses on Vaughn and his search for the one who got away, the con-artist who stole his heart, Lark. But there's more to Lark than meets the eye, she's not on the run because she's a mastermind criminal, her reason is rather a terrifying one. Once found, the chemistry between these two leading characters is off the charts. I adored seeing Vaughn as a knight in shinning armor to a woman who didn't want to be caught. Lark, or at least that's how I'll call her, is feisty, smart and self sufficient. She's not letting herself dragged down by a man again, and is not easy trusting everyone she meets.
One of my favorite moments in this book was seeing Marcus, my favorite ex FBI agent, with his dark eyes and wavy hair and his trademark fedora, and most importantly learning the one secret that he kept hidden.
I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Wow, talk about a roller coaster ride. I felt like I was on a wickedly hot adventure the entire time I was reading this book. Vaughn is for sure my favorite Wilde brother now. What a panty dropper..My god!!!
Vaughn had been searching for months for the elusive Lark! They had whirlwind tryst and them she did what she does best and disappears. He was turning his life upside down trying to find her. He was also driving his brothers crazy in the process. A few of his buddies just happened to come face to face with herand notified Vaughn. The chase is now on.
When he finds her it is a true cat and mouse game. The desire they have for each other is undeniable, but the tension from nthe secrets are unbearable. Vaughn is determined to find out what she's hiding, but she is not budging on giving up.the info.
Can they save each other or will they go down along with the ones they love. Once I picked up this book, I didn't put it down until I was done. It was captivating and will have you on the edge of your seat. I am dying to get my hands on Greer's story.
I got a copy of this book from the author and publisher in exchange of an honest review.
Let me tell you, when you start a Tonya Burrows series, don’t ever think that the first book is the best or the second or the third is the best. Because this woman writes nothing but the best. Each book in the series is better than the previous one. And that holds true for Running Wilde too. Vaughn may just be my favorite Wilde brother, but I have a feeling Tonya is going to change that with the eldest Wilde brother, Greer (don’t tell Reece. He still believes he is my favorite. Don’t worry Reece, I still love you).
The protagonists of this novel, Vaughn Wilde and Lark Warren are characters we have met already. Vaughn being part of the ever-naughty twin duo Cam-Vaughn and Lark as Libby’s best friend in Wilde For Her. In Wilde for Her, Lark and Vaughn hook up and have a short-lived, intense relationship before Lark disappears. This book starts with Vaughn finding her.
While Vaughn and Lark’s story starts in Wilde For Her, there is enough back story in Running Wilde that one can read it as a stand-alone. But to exploit the book to its optimum, it’s better to read the whole series. There are certain nuances that you miss out on otherwise.
Vaughn Wilde has been looking for Lark Warren for months now. After an explosion nearly killed him, Lark disappeared. While they had a good thing going, Vaughn can’t figure out why she would leave without any news. But as he starts to search for her, he realizes that there is a lot more of Lark than a hot body and a sarcastic sense of humor. That woman has secrets a mile long.
Lark Warren has been running for five years. Every few months, she picks a new place and a new name. The horrors of her past can’t be farther enough. She never stays in one place for too long, never forms any everlasting relationships. After all it’s only going to hurt once she leaves without a word. And she always leaves. Except with Vaughn Wilde, she forgets her rules and falls head over heels in lust and maybe even a little bit in love with him. But the moment she thinks, she can be happy, her fears and her past drive her away from him.
Vaughn is determined to find Lark and surrender her to the authorities for identity theft. Except he can’t forget the three amazing weeks he spent with her before her disappearance. Not to the mention the ever-present palpable chemistry between them. But Vaughn has also brought with him the very people Lark is running from. She is determined to run away, he is determined to keep her close.
There was nothing predictable about this book. Which is one of the things that I love about Tonya Burrows. Till the end I couldn’t figure out who Lark was or what her past was like. But it unravels slowly and steadily through the novel. Lark and Vaughn had a love-hate relationship going with sarcastic banter thrown in. I just loved it. Vaughn and Lark and right up there with Shelby and Reece as my favorite couples. They had great chemistry and their back and forth was too much fun.
I really felt for both Lark and Vaughn. Lark’s past really was a horrible one and I could understand why she did what she did. But I did get a little annoyed when she just plain refused to trust Vaughn and share her problems with him. No matter how understanding Vaughn was. That man went all out for her. He would have given her the world and then some. There was such passion and longing inside Vaughn. He may have had a hard exterior, but the man was just a sweet little teddy bear. He really was a sweetheart. He is the kind of man who would have carved his heart out for the woman he loves. After the first time, I really felt like Lark didn’t deserve him, but she redeemed herself in the end.
Tonya being the sneaky woman that she is, also threw into the mix our very own Marc D’Angelo from the HORNET series. We find out something totally unexpected about him. So listen up HORNET readers, make sure you pick up Running Wilde, or else you might just miss Marc’s secret.
Of course, Tonya being Tonya left us in suspense about Greer. I can’t wait to read about him. I have a feeling he is going to trump all the Wilde brothers to become my ultimate favorite. Hurry up Tonya!! I’m waiting.
This story is filled with suspense, action and so much running but when she is not running away they have so much passion.
This is the fourth installment in the Wilde Security series and one that I loved reading. I can’t believe that Vaughn still hasn’t been able to find the person that took something of his and he wants it back but she also stole his heart. Lark is a person that has been running for five years and she has no idea that her running days are almost coming to an end. There is only one problem that Vaughn is going to have and that is making sure she doesn’t run away and they have to stay alive because someone is ready to make someone pay.
Vaughn Wilde was a Navy SEAL and now he is trying to find himself but at the same time he’s in self-destruct mode. He is fighting in cage matches that are illegal and he just made himself notice by a mobster and this mobster will not take no as an answer. He was still searching for Lark and his brother had figured out all of the aliases that she used and he wanted to capture her. He told himself that she needed to pay for stealing other people’s identities but that was not the real reason.
Lark Warren had a rough childhood and ended up living on the streets. But then one day she ended up falling in love but that was not love it was something else. Then one day the running started and she has not looked back but then while living in Washington DC she stayed a little too long and ended up meeting a man that made her feel things. He was her bestfriend’s brother and she knew it was time to run after she got involved with another man that ended up being a jerk. Now she was living in New Orleans and thought everything was going to be okay that no one had found her but she was so wrong.
Vaughn and Lark are going to need their strength and trust if they want to stay alive. But that is short lived because of a phone call that Vaughn gets and it’s time to run away again. Only that Vaughn knows she can’t hide for too long but when he finds her again he receives a phone call. His twin brother has been taken and if he wants him he is to take Lark to him. Vaughn is going to need the help of his brothers and also one of his ex-SEAL brother, Marcus.
Running Wilde was an excellent read. The characters were well developed and the dialogue was entertaining. The writing is clear and enjoyable. Vaughn is a man that has a short fuse and at times very grumpy. Now as for Lark she is a feisty woman that is very capable of taking care of herself. The chemistry between these two characters is passionate, explosive.
Now all I have to say is where in the world is Greer. Is he hurt, has someone captured him? If someone captured him then who has him and who will be the one to capture his heart?
I totally recommend this read!

Judging a Book by it's Cover: Holy crap level hot cover model, subdued colors. Synopsis is intriguing and catches the attention. Looking Deeper: Third person POV. Vaughn and Lark already know each other when Running Wilde begins. While this is the 4th book to the series, there's enough backstory given to allow it to stand on it's own, but the reader would greatly benefit from reading the series in order to obtain the full stories as the male characters are all brothers that work together, their stories are all tightly woven together. *Mild cross-over with the HORNET boys present. Vaughn is a retired SEAL and twin to brother Cam. He and Lark, Libby's good friend, already have some history between them. While Vaughn's laid up in the hospital entertaining heartfelt, mushy feelings about Lark, Lark's past starts creeping up on her & she runs. Running Wilde picks up a few months after the explosion that laid Vaughn up and his continued quest to find Lark. He knows she's an identity thief, but does not know why. When he catches up to her, he seems to have a hard time keeping hold of her. Despite their explosive chemistry, she's running hard from something and he's determined to find out what. The dialogue is smart and witty, the interactions feel natural. The plot is exciting and entertaining. I'm amazed at the fluidity of the story. I felt like I'd just started the book and I was already nearing the end. It was incredible smooth and easy to read. The characters and plot were a pleasure to read. There were some conflicts and most were resolved in an efficient, mature manner although there were a few spots where I was not pleased with the heroine and her actions - but she earns points for not being a total helpless female. She's smart, resourceful and determined to survive, regardless the cost or sacrifice. I knew there was some kind of connection between her and [other party], but it wasn't until the reveal that I understood what that connection was. Other than that, predictability was nil. The conclusion is solid and was very appropriate. I am highly anticipating Greer's story, however I'm dreading it as it'll be the last of the Wilde boys. I look forward to it nonetheless. I do recommend this book, series, and author to any reader that is a fan of well-written Romantic Suspense featuring strong yet flawed alpha men that are not afraid to show their emotions to their loved ones and the smart and sassy women that complete them. ** Personal note: Holy Crap, I loved Vaughn! What a broody teddy bear! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rating: 4.5 [R] ~ Score: 4.5 ~ Stars: 4.5 - 5 -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh my gosh, Vaughn Wilde. Just the perfect grumpy, intense, oh-so-so protective yet somehow all squishy on the inside hero... He fell hard for Lark Warren earlier in the series, and when she disappeared and he found out that "Lark Warren" was just one in a long list of aliases she'd used--and that she'd taken his SEAL pin with her when she ran--he's been determined to find her and drag her back to D.C. ever since.
To be prosecuted for identity theft of course. And to get his pin back. No other reason.
Riiiiight.
Vaughn's twin Cam (hero of Wilde for Her) has been worried about his brother--ever since nearly being blown up, which coincidentally happened just before Lark took off--he's been taking one unnecessary risk after another. Not to mention his unhealthy obsession with finding Lark again. But before Cam can stage an intervention, one of their buddies in the HORNET group spots the woman-formerly-known-as-Lark in a bar in New Orleans, and Vaughn is hot on her trail...
Running Wilde was an intense thrill ride of a book. The guys Lark's on the run from are truly scary, and Vaughn's determination to find her, gain her trust, and keep her safe kept me turning the pages. Their chemistry together was off the charts, and their banter--especially when Lark was doing her best to escape his custody and resist his charms, not that he was trying to be charming at the time--was fantastic.
I loved the scenes when it was just the two of them together, but the parts where they were back with Vaughn's family were great too. I've still only read the book before this one in the series (but just downloaded books 1 and 2 onto my iPod--I *will* be ready when Greer's story comes out!) but still enjoyed seeing the dynamic between the brothers and their significant others. If you've read all the previous books, you'll love seeing them all back together here. Plus, there's a slight crossover with the HORNET series, which was also so much fun.
And oh, what Vaughn does to save those he cares about in the end? SO. GOOD.
I seriously love this guy.
The only reason I'm going to be able to wait patiently for Greer's book is because it'll give me time to get caught up on the rest of the series...but please don't take too long, Ms. Burrows! ;)

This book was just the bringer of all the feels and was a Wilde (ha) ride. Vaughn is still Mr. Emotions on Lockdown, but this book lets us see past that protective shell he wears to his true self. He feels and he feels deeply. For his family and for the one woman he hasn't been able to forget.
Lark, aka a lot of different names but Vaughn knew her as Lark, has been on the run for five years. She's literally running for her life. While using her Lark identity, she met Libby and they became best friends. When Libby married Jude, Lark was a member of the bridal party and met Vaughn. That meeting was the start of an intense, but short relationship. Lark knew she couldn't stay there with Vaughn forever because she'd never be able to stop running. Vaughn, using the excuse of wanting to turn her in for her crimes, (she uses the identities of deceased people as needed to stay hidden), yet in all actuality he misses her and loves her, he just hasn't realized it yet. Oh, but that epiphany when he does...beautiful to witness.
Lark has learned over the years that she can't trust anyone. That's why she's on the run now. She trusted the wrong person when she was younger, not realizing until it was too late that he was a monster. When she had to do the unthinkable to protect herself, she knew the consequences would be deadly for her. No, not on a legal level like you're thinking. That's all I'm saying on that because the revelation of her story is something you need to directly witness for yourself. But there's just something about Vaughn that continually draws Lark to him and she wants the chance for a future with him, but doesn't believe she'll ever get it.
Can Lark learn to trust Vaughn? How will Vaughn react when he learns her true identity? Will the revenge plot geared at Lark spill over onto Vaughn and his family? Do Vaughn and Lark have a chance to find true happiness or will it be taken away from them?
I readily admit that Vaughn is now my favorite of the brothers and I've called him so that's that. You snooze, you lose. *wink* I highly recommend this book. It is book four in the series and while I do suggest reading them in order for the sake of continuity, I do feel that you could read this book as a standalone as Tonya does a good job at supplying the necessary information in this story so you aren't feeling lost. So one-click now and happy reading. Just remeber, hands to yourself. I already called dibs. *eye waggle*

Lark Warren is on the run from a dangerous man who she mistakenly gave her heart to, thinking he felt the same, but to her surprise he didn't and she wound up getting hurt and ultimately had to flee from him for her own safety. She has been on the run for a while and has had to assume several identities to maintain her anonymity, which she is sure will eventually catch up to her, but she doesn't have any other choice.. Along her travels she meets a man that could possibly be the one to convince her to stop running, but her fear of being hurt again takes over and her instincts kick in and she is on the run again, she just can't put his life at risk too. Her travels take her to New Orleans, where she feels like she is finally starting to find her bearings, and could possibly finally have a place to call home, but that feeling is quickly shattered when the handsome stranger she met and left behind waltzes through the door, and is ready to haul her back to DC to face identity theft charges...
Vaughn Wilde has been in search of the beautiful woman who walked into his life and turned it upside after only three very heated nights together. There is something about her that he just can't let go of, he thought they had the start of something truly special and then she just walks away, and he is left crushed and confused. He is left with the deepest desire to find her, but while searching for her he finds out she isn't quite who he thought she was and she is wanted on identity charges, so he sees this as the perfect excuse to hunt her down and bring her to justice. But once he sets sights on her again those feelings of bringing her to justice are pushed aside for the feelings he's had buried for her since she walked into his life...
Once again Ms. Burrows has managed to provide me with one very spectacular reading escape, and reaffirmed my belief that she is a very gifted story teller. I truly enjoyed reading Lark and Vaughn's story, it had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through! Truly an entertaining read filled with lots of romance, mystery, and heated intensity!!
If you haven't acquainted yourself with the Wilde Brothers yet, I must first tell you that you are missing out on some exceptional reading and also the opportunity to meet some very memorable characters that are sure to leave you with a smile and a happy heart!!

Running Wilde is a story of intensity, a book that takes the reader on a high speed read that will twist and turn till the very end. The story focuses mainly on Vaughn and Lark, two characters that had a bit of history before this book even began. Lark is on the run from her past and Vaughn is chasing her, presumably to take her into custody for identity theft. This story starts at high intensity and stays there throughout the book. Vaughn has been lost in life and he feels the way to get Lark out of his head is to find her and bring her to justice. It has nothing to do with his attraction or hurt feelings and pride after her disappearing act, at least that is what he tries so hard to project to others and believe himself. The chemistry between these two headstrong characters is hot. Both Vaughn and Lark have been tested in fire. Life has not been kind to them and they have learned to solider on through the darkness. Their histories are different but they have come out as strong people on the other side. That is something I loved about this book. They were able to fight through that darkness and land them in the place they are today, fighting for what they want and striving for what is right. If you have read the series, you will know a bit about Lark. The beginnings of this romance are alluded to and I assume that they meet and fall for each other in the previous story of the Wilde Security Series. This is the first in the series I have read (proving you can read each book as a standalone) and you go into the book knowing that Lark is running but not from what. Her strength is waning and Vaughn realizes his hope is to help her where she lacks. The romance is passionate, showing the reader that this is a second chance for these two, one they long to see through. They grow stronger together, allowing them to see that they can win this fight together. One of my favorite parts about this book is that it is full of adrenaline. There is not a moment of rest. Even when the danger takes a break we see the heat level rise between these two main characters. This book is a fast moving story that does not let up until the very end. You see the love of a family and the passion of lovers. There is a lot happening in this book and Tonya does a good job of keeping everything flowing well. This high action packed story will leave you reeling and smiling at the love of Lark and Vaughn’s story!

Lark Warren is running from her previous life and now she's on the run from Vaughn Wilde with whom she had a relationship with. He wants back what she took from him, his Navy SEAL Trident so he heads to New Orleans to retrieve it and Lark. But she's isn't Lark anymore, She's Sage and working in a French Quarter restaurant.
Vaughn is missing the SEAL Teams alot and is now fighting (MMA) in an underground fight club. After the fight, where he garners the attention of Giuseppe Bellisaro, a local crime boss. His twin brother, Cam, sees the spiral he's on, he gives him the information that Lark has been found in New Orleans. So Vaughn goes to retrieve his trident and Lark before she can run again.
Their trip back to DC is a harrowing one involving a car crash which aggravates the bruised ribs from not only the fight but a previous bomb blast, Lark running away while yelling some interesting insults at him, add in a ride in a RV with Arnold and Edna that is a hoot! But eventually everyone returns back to DC where Marcus who now works with HORNET (Ms. Burrows other series) tells Vaughn the news that Lark is tied into the Bellisaro family and its why she has been running for the past year.
I won't give anything away but I'd recommend reading the series in order, I have read the first book, Wilde Nights in Paradise, but not in between novels and I'm planning on catching up with the rest of the Wilde boys. At the end is a teaser for the next book which looks to be Greer's. I highly enjoyed this books and recommend it to anyone who has read both the HORNET and now the Wilde Security books.
This book was so good. I have not read the other books in the series but I was not lost so don't worry about it if this is the first one for you. I definitely want to go back and read the others now but that is the only complaint I have for this book, and I wouldn't consider that a complaint really. This one was so well written and kept you wondering what was going to happen. I wanted to finish this one as soon as I could to find out how things ended for Lark and Vaughn, but then I was sad because I had finished the book.
Lark is a lady that has had a rough past and is trying to hide from those that she really doesn't want to see again, but Vaughn doesn't know that at first. He thinks that Lark is running from her scams that she is pulling. When Vaughn catches up to Lark again, he has no idea that he has lead her enemies straight to her, but he is willing to help her out in any way that he can once he realizes what he has done.
Lark is not a woman that looks to others for help or protection. She has been able to take care of herself pretty well up until now. Lark's funds are running low and when she leaves them in the car that she and Vaughn were traveling in, she has no choice but to stay with him until she can get somewhere to get back on her feet.
Vaughn and Lark had a run in before now and the sparks flew then between them. Little has changed since their last meeting since sparks begin to ignite again almost immediately. There is plenty of romance in this story to keep you going along with the suspense and action that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Will Vaughn and Lark be able to overcome her enemies and get past her past to make a relationship for themselves? You need to read this one to find out. You will not be disappointed in this read!!
