From the food we eat, the water we drink to the air we breathe, everything these days seems capable of killing us. Recently we have seen an unprecedented number of deaths due to medications for diseases that may not even exist, obscure cancers caused by our modern devices, and brutal police tactics. All a coincidence? Think again. In Population Control, acclaimed journalist Jim Marrs lays out a stunning case for his most audacious conspiracy the scheme concocted by a handful of global elites to reduce the world’s population to 500 million by whatever means necessary and make a profit from it.
Marrs, the bestselling author of Rule by Secrecy and The Trillion Dollar Conspiracy, pulls no punches in exposing this evil and chillingly effective plan. He explains how a small group of tremendously wealthy and powerful people control virtually every important industry – guns, oil, pharmaceuticals, food, and of course the media – and how it uses this vast network of conglomerates to take actions that lead to the deaths of men and women all over the world.
In the explosive Population Control, Marrs lays bare the damning truths corporate owners don’t want you to how they’ve spied on private citizens, intentionally spread disease, and destroyed the planet chasing profits, all to improve the lives of a privileged few while eliminating everyone else. Finally, he offers a citizen’s blueprint for fighting back.
Jim Marrs is an award-winning journalist and author. After graduating from the University of North Texas with a degree in journalism, Marrs worked for and owned several Texas newspapers before becoming an independent journalist/author. Marrs is the author of the New York Times bestsellers, Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy, the basis for the Oliver Stone film JFK, and Rule by Secrecy.
One of the best conspiracy books I've read. You have no idea of what is going on in the world. After reading, you look up and wonder how to move on. Juicy reading material and excellent references in the back to continue researching, because I can't just stop here.
If you read one (1) book by a "wingnut" this year (fairly or unfairly characterized), let it this one by Jim Marrs: it provides a double function of letting you really really, with 100% clear conscience, blow off each-and-every-muckraker not sanctioned by Mother Jones, Rolling Stone, The Atlantic Monthly, etc.
I say this not to disparage Jim Marrs, but to be realistic about how people will look at you when they see you reading this book, and, more importantly, how you should be prepared to feel about it, inwardly. A lot of the leaps Marrs makes are inarguably large, but the daunting scale of the testimonials compiled and the research done beggars not thinking something connects these dots.
What is going on, here? It seems there is a compelling case to be made that there's just too much space between the vertiginous heights at the tops of Big Industry and those of us at ground level, so those captaining those big ships have adopted policies that disregard social costs and personal health in favor of just steamrollering along.
Chilling reading, because the researchers consulted and the myriad issues inherent offer no simple solutions, and imply a lot of work would need to be done, with totally-shifted priorities and no need to kowtow to political concerns — almost a near-folly to hope for in the best of political climates, and downright dire in the era of President Trump's "I'll mean what I think I want to promise you I might mean later" mess.
Still, Marrs is hopeful. Maybe somebody will do something, anyway.
Check out John Shirley's New Taboos title if you're interested in ways of approaching non-legistlatable-only societal change. It's seeming like a wiser and wiser idea by the day.
Jim Marrs gets 1 star for being a good writer. He loses 4 for leaps in logic, tethering ideas together that don't necessarily click. He also loses stars for citing facts when he had solid sources and citing vague "websites" or "some people" when his data is sketchy.
I do recommend reading this book though, so people can witness the fear mongering.
It was hard to just sit down and read this book in large chunks - it is all so depressingly real, even more so 8 years after publication. It is almost prescient with regard to how the years of covid were carried out. I read other books that talk about each of the issues raised individually - this book puts them all together. System is geared to perpetuate government sponsored beliefs by using professional peer pressure, tremendous amounts of promotional money and threat of ostracism. Workers are compelled to continue and practice knowing it is wrong - politics of face saving. p. 195 Government is aided by a compliant corporate mass media (or is the government compliant with the mass media?) predisposed to blindly accept official pronouncements as gospel and continue to skirt the issues. What ambitious reporter wants to sidetrack their career by digging too deep into information that government and business suppresses - only to be overwhelmed by official denials.
Government operatives run information management campaigns to promote official narratives and suppress the truth with regard to: p. 129. Toxic food coverup - FDA does not protect the public - under enormous power of large corporate advertisers or pressure from China - our largest investor. Truth about artificial sweeteners, soft drinks, and GMO's (government is incapable of providing adequate safety research for the public. Biotech lobbying is so pervasive that government cannot even impose clear labeling standards. FDA covers up and ignores its own scientists p. 145)
p. 146-152 - Biotech industry is without accountability, standards or peer review. Seed and chemical companies override local opposition to GMOs. There is a destructive effect of corporate agriculture. Privatization of water resources.
p. 306 ...unfortunately, we the people, have become so trusting, so gullible, so easily distracted, so out-of-touch, so compliant and so indoctrinated to the idea that our government will always do the right thing by us, that we have ignored the warning signs all around us, and not asking the right questions, demanding satisfactory answers, and holding out government officials accountable to respecting our rights and abiding by the rule of law has pushed us to the brink of a nearly intolerable state of affairs...at least, to those who REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO LIVE IN A PLACE WHERE FREEDOME, DUE PROCESS AND REPRESNTATIVE GOVERNMENT ACTUALLY MEANT SOMETHING.
p. 112-113 When faced with a medical problem, thoughtful citizens must not depend upon only one source of information. Seek second opinions and study for yourself, the evidence available. Too often, conventional medicine is based on misleading marketing, outmoded training, and the drive for profits. BE WARY OF GOVERNMENT-DRIVEN HYSTERIA OVER POTENTIAL PANDEMICS, as well as government agencies that have proven to be more beholden to corporate interests than concern for the well-being of the public. The question of vaccines requires serious consideration. While some have proven effective against disease, the increasing use of adulterants such as thimerosal and squalene makes many current vaccines dangerous. Public funds should go for the study of vaccines by truly objective organizations, not by the vaccine manufacturers. Laws protecting vaccine makers should be revoked and individual liability returned to those producing them. Government agencies, such as the FDA must be reorganized to avoid even the appearance of conflict of interests. It is time to recognize psychiatric mind-altering drugs as the driving force behind the horrific rise of public shootings and increasing suicide rates among teens and veterans. The corporate mass media, so depending on drug advertising, should shift the focus of its ire from guns to the drugs that clearly cause both suicidal and homicidal tendencies. RE: military. After being trained to kill and given indiscriminate amounts of mood-altering drugs while in service, they are then largely abandoned and even branded as potential terrorists when they return home.
Then there are the chemtrails, air pollution, water issues, the militarization of our police, deadly force used out of proportion, wrongful arrests, rise of SWAT teams and private police.
Another conspiracy book. This one covers lots of interesting ideas and truthfully concepts that most everyone in today's America should be aware of. The overall conclusion of how all these subjects are tied together may be a bit of a stretch, especially for the person who is deep into the conspiracy subject.
For the average person there is probably one or two subjects in this collection of modern day conspiracies that will speak to them and a dozen others that they will feel are kooky ideas. But the information is well collected and presented in such a way that it gives scientific, political, and legal support for all the ideas put in the book while at the same time giving a solid synopsis and rebuttal of the opposition arguments.
Whether you agree with the nefarious motives of the perpetrators of these horrible occurrences that is proposed by the author or you believe they are unfortunate coincidences, they are real issues that need to be addressed. The vast amount of cited materials could keep someone busy for years following up on and also show the breadth of the research put into this volume.
The book is long and a bit rough to read sometimes, but it is highly recommended for everyone in America today.
Kind of interesting. Nothing that we wouldn't learn by watching the discovery channel for a couple of days. Just seemed like a lot of recycled conspiracy theories.
People about religious freedom are not the only ones in dabbling on peddling words for this book it's also conspiracy theories who need affirmation not to have a discussion.
Bunch of redundant science and meta-analysis that's full of Texas sharp shooter picked data for self serving bias.
Be aware if your looking for a just-world hypothesis, fundamental attribution error, or the in-group bias just dig into redundant science and meta analysis.
The book reads like it's analytical underdog baited fear mongering halo effect but for the textual reader to contextually writer is. A mystics dream of how, “what” and “why” are never one word sentence in any laterally conversation.
The author should look into Mania, cause I nearly stuck to finishing in hoping it would say Russia and Ukraine With oil dependence in how are growth growth growth pronatal to pay you less in life to over consumerism buy that car to work for that car for war-political religiousism where it’s congregates are voters and leaders are politicians instead of a church board and council.
I am guessing it’s does not say that. More like how neville Chamberlain is looked back on history so bad is cause it was the go home and sleep well, there is peace.
I tried to give it a finish😁, instead I returned it to get my refund.
I thought it’ll get talking more about over-shooting population. Solutions of climate change for you tin foil hat or at least a discussion about over-shooting population a bit at a least,,,, what this book is needing, is not busing at the front.
Writes as Not climate change population but government effort to kill its citizens in mass vaccination, cause killing 20,000 people is like planting 2 million 🌲 trees.
One could even say Russia 🇷🇺 is doing just that since it has 1/3 people trusting governments to people taking the Vaccination...
How it actually read is corporates as in textual nurses or doctors commiting murder as well as contextually martyrdomism. well, it's a bit to archiac for my double S's to make plural.
It's said it's either a loyal proselytizer or an infiltrator. Rather it was legalize drugs, vaccination are killers, and is anti-bureau, anti-estblishment, anti-institution, same as sitting on your behind for an appetizer terrorist-prostitute-drug user gaslighting control for its self serving bias is.
It’s a prostitutes handbook for reasons to love any and every or a drug user handbook for one issue to say medication ruins your imagination- more likely never given a book after the high and low balances after mania. Heck if your still thinking movies as an adult, usually an imagination stops thinking in movies in Adolescence could you imagine a grown adult acting like a manic kid when something they want is taken away.
An sure there are many things bad in history but there have also been the many few that have been good.
I think weak countries and religious and conspiracy mystics dream into mania is more agreeable to how countries or society fails than how conscientious countries or societies are to succeed.
This book is for miss information. Is more to watch hard things in society excuse itself rather than never go to a place to get rehabilitated is.
A book that makes drug blitz hard to explain but easy to see, rather before ww2 drug blitz easy to explain but hard to see.
It's ghetto violence, or kissinger report, where we're living beyond our means quantitatively and qualitatively. Where before ww2 and steam power birth rate was under .5% and after ww2 it birth rate is 2%. From pre-world War annual carbon emissions were 1.5 ton per person, today its at 30 ton per person.
Where war when resources crumble is looking like financial collapse who all ends up with the public sector is. A red ink enigma. That set for black ink returns.
Where economist are said would brush of agricultural collapse cause its only 3% gdp?!?!?! If you've at all watch "don't look up", it's most likely an administrative economist who was a baker. As it's said, women are not homes for broken men, men are not banks for broke women, and then a generation next goes, we are bakers. A baker is.
The biggest reason I got this book was the description said was 3 million homeless in America 🇺🇸 😕 and 20 million vacant homes in America. That alone comment is telling, public sector or private sector is failing on red ink enigma that could easily be a black ink income.
I can't explain why this book bothered me besides I was held high hopes of answers. Or maybe he was Texas journalist and I read the bait hoping for a Dixiecrat to come out as other than a moderate or partisanship, rather Polarizing 🤔 . The book looked as to have solutions to answers to questions not statements, yet as a reviewer thinking people subjectively are under my control, which is impossible.
Is a typical Hive Mind, group think ergores of demoned group think energy.
Or as Peter attia says it,
Focus how make sense in a world with fractured information. In manics. Theres an idea that Humans, in act instatiate these higher elements of thinking, We call them Different things.
Group think, Hive Mind, Egregores that is a demoned that energy from group of people and thinking. It used to be in the old days that you’d share information in a very slow and informed ways.
If it was Mass Media with a few channels, there was money to exchange information cause there would be a economic insentives, you build a city on a River because its Easy access to Ports and so on.
But now with Social Media, You’ve effective turned every Human with a smart phone, that behaves like a Neuron.
It’s Neuron transmitters, Are Likes, Dislikes, Comments and Shares.
Each of us are a Network of People that act like Neurons, that we instatiate through these instant Connections.
These Hive Mind, Group Think, Tribes, “That we are trying to stop tribalism” Said Marty (TVShow)
This is why they even exist. Because instantly you can be apart of it, with out even Knowing you are. It is lubricated from Social Media, that we Dendroid, Stevia from Social Media. We process it, we make a Decision and Play it out.
And whatever Hive Mind your in has certain Rules, and it is completing in other Hive Minds. In ways we are not even able to access so when you say something like we are not suppose to wear Masks. I don’t like Masks.
That Particular Hive Mind says you know Masks are Important. We’re Liberal, what motive is a impuraitor. Who left to go to Texas and he is not saying the Right Hive Mind things about Masks.
Therefore he is Absolutely an Outside Evil, that must be stop. Those people in a Network, Don’t even see they are doing it. They actually believe it.
Inless introspect they meet you and have a conversation that comments to actually broke the spell. I think thats whats happening. The Malones, the antithesis Group Think, Hive Mind, The fauci’s, Eric Topols of world that are captived by the thesis Hive Mind, and who are we in this middle Corpus Callosum by Hive Minds. We’re Hated by Everyone. Some of the messages that meant the most to me, was I got the Vaccination because of you and the media.
I have to admit then when I first decided to buy this book I knew that I could be in for a strange read. Even with this knowledge I found that I was frequently floored by the level of nonsense and the wild assertions made by the author.
It's one thing to believe in each of the conspiracies in the book on its own, it's entirely another to believe that they are all connected and orchestrated by the "global elite" to control and reduce the population.
I cannot recommend this book for anything other than entertainment value.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
A depressing read in 2021 as the world deals with the consequences of the anti-vaccine movement (and rallies supporting actual violence in the seat of government). The logical pretzels that this book falls into are hard for anyone to swallow. If you want to get a run down of literally EVERY conspiracy, I’m sure you have other options.
I read this book hoping to find some background material for a course I teach. What I found was a lot of incorrect data used to make a convincing argument . I double and triple checked over 100 data numbers in this book and found an overwhelming majority (>80) were wildly off!
I used to have some respect for the author, but my respect is completely gone, once you know the people he is quoting, and the "authoritative" view they have my respect for the author just crumbled. I will try to synthesize it.
"Many would be shocked to learn that the often brutal and aggressive police tactics found in the news items of today may have originated in Israel, a nation surrounded by militant neighbors, which has long taken an aggressive stance toward its enemies." The author puts this as being resistant as a bad thing, it is not, and it is delusional to think otherwise.
" Israeli authorities have practiced constant crackdowns on Palestinian protesters and zero tolerance for terrorists." What is wrong with that? Would you cave in for terrorists? To go soft on them just encourage them.
"According to Gordon Duff, senior editor of Veterans Today," Well, one just gets to look at this site to picture the "credibility" that emanates, yes, it is laughable.
"In October 2011, an exercise at the University of California at Berkeley saw joint training between American police forces and the Yamam, described by award-winning journalist Max Blumenthal as “an Israeli Border Police unit that claims to specialize in ‘counter-terror’ operations but is better known for its extra-judicial assassinations of Palestinian militant leaders and long record of repressions and abuses in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip.”
Blumenthal is also a completely biased source, and then the Gaza Strip is not occupied, and the West Bank is under dispute, then he thinks again that Israel cannot defend herself.
So basically the whole you will see the author accusing the US and Israel of committing horrible acts against the most pacific and innocent people and all the rest of it, the West is bad, the bankers are bad, and the people if left alone will do beautiful things. Sorry, but his kind of thinking is way too naive and primitive, the author has completely biased sources and makes ideological statements, he could do way better and I will re-evaluate everything I read from him.
I believe Population Control was Marrs' last major release before his untimely death, and give what we are currently facing, there are few more prescient, more important tomes than this one for the next handful of years to come. And whilst, if I was to offer a critique of Jim, he never quite connected the dots, or went as far 'out there' as Icke or some of his contemporaries, that could also be of benefit, should you be wishing to share this information with someone not as far down the rabbit hole as others may be. An excellent stepping stone towards the darker, more esoteric, but also, were the greatest change needs to happen in order to escape this current paradigm. For an experienced researcher or conspiratorial scholar, there won't be much here you didn't know. Though it is still well researched, assembled and effortlessly readable. A fitting epitaph from a great man taken too soon. 4/5
Excellent research paper in long book form. A great read even for those that think they already know most of this stuff. Marrs adds a lot of background detail and further reading, and ends with solutions that individuals can work toward to thwart the gobalists.
A little dated, but a thought provoking examination of corporations and government. The late author provides plenty of backing for his opinions and ideas. Always open one of his books with an open mind.
Interesting read with tons of deep rabbit holes. Overall conclusions are suspect, common in this type of work. I did enjoy the book and I think most people would find things they agree with and disagree with in the various theories.
I had to bail half way through. Learning about all of the ways these mofo’s are slowly killing us makes me so mad. It makes me so mad that there are several books out there to alert people to this NWO Agenda, but people are more concerned with meaningless BS! Serenity Now.
