Sexy fun novella set on the Carly Phillips Dare World. Penny Dare is an off shoot of the Dares in Carly's books and Sawyer is the sexy cop who lives next door to her. Their condos share a bedroom wall and he keeps her up at night with his sexual antics. She finally decides to get back at him and they meet face to face. Someone is stealing her tattoo designs and she enlists Sawyer's help to solve the mystery. They quickly fall in love as well. Fun fast read!

This super sexy novella is the story of Penny and Sawyer, two neighbours who don't see eye to eye, especially when Sawyer's late night antics keep Penny awake. Sawyer is cocky (pun intended)and too damn attractive for his own good. But his one night stands, using sex to recover from his last undercover vice operation, fall by the wayside with the chance to help Penny discover who is stealing her tattoo designs. Penny is loathe to trust Sawyer but she's desperate to find the thief, her name and tattoo business's reputation too important to her to let it slide. Soon the attraction between them comes to a head but is sex going to be enough to establish trust between them or will the end of the case mean the end of their time together too?
This was a great, fun sexy read! Sawyer and Penny are like oil and water at first, but it's really the sexual attraction that's making the sparks fly. They share some very steamy scenes together and I loved how Penny didn't put up with any bull from Sawyer. He's got his work cut out for him to get Penny to even consider more than a fling, but he's willing to put in the time and effort to prove to her that he'll be worth it. Even though Sawyer can be a bit on the arrogant side, his confidence is attractive (to me and Penny both!). The ending is sweet and satisfying. 4 stars.

What a great visit back into the world of the Dare family. Penny had me laughing out loud in the first chapter and Sawyer is so very hot. Penny has worked hard to achieve her dreams and was devastated to learn that her mother lied to her all of her life. Sawyer was a major player until he meets Penny and she rocks his world (literally!). I loved the way he won her back at the end.

You know when you have an author that you enjoy reading? You know that no matter what the genre, setting or characters, you're pretty much guaranteed a good read because the author is that good? Avery Flynn is one of those authors for me, and she didn't fail to disappoint with the novella, Daring Ink. The heroine, Penny, is the owner of a tattoo shop (how cool is that?), and her mouth is as smart as her business sense. She's also dealing with a thief as well as still reeling from a discovery about her family. Sawyer, an ex-football player turned Miami cop, is fresh off a clusterfu--er, a mess of a case and is screwing his way out of his bad headspace. Enter the famous wall-banging--literally--disturbance of Mr. Anaconda Cock--Avery Flynn said it, I didn't. LOL! Fromm the moment Penny gets fed up with her neighbor effing up her sleep, and the hilarious way she lets him know, the sparks between these two fly. I absolutely loved the sarcastic, funny and sexy banter between the two, and the chemistry was AMAZING!! An ill-fated bet and a design-stealing thief brings them together, but it's the off-the-charts attraction that keeps them together. It confounds me how a full pot was so seamlessly and completely included in this small book! I didn't walk away feeling unsatisfied, but closed my Kindle with a grin! Loved it, in case you didn't catch that...LOL!! A wonderful, feel-good, LOL read! Avery Flynn knocked it out the park again!

This awesome and sexy novella by Avery Flynn is part of Carly Phillips Dare World and it was a fun place to go back and visit.
Penny Dare owns a tattoo shop, Daring Ink, and she's recently she's been losing sleep, both because someone is stealing her tattoo designs and because her neighbor seems to be having sex all the time and the paper thin walls separating their apartments leaves nothing to the imagination. She devises a plan to get back at her neighbor and it works...maybe too well.
Sawyer Dixon is a former football player turned cop who ends up helping Penny figure out who has been stealing her designs, but he also has made a bet with his best friend and former teammate that he can get the sexy redhead to go on a date with him.
As Sawyer and Penny work to solve the crime, they also realize that there is quite a bit of heat being generated between them. Can Sawyer put aside his player ways for one woman? And, can Penny trust a man after she has given herself a no boyfriends rule?
I really enjoyed this novella. It was full of great verbal foreplay and Penny and Sawyer were just a fun couple. I'd highly recommend this book.

Anytime you have the opportunity to read a book by Avery Flynn you MUST do it! She has this uncanny ability to create these perfect romance stories with just the right amounts of humor, sass, mystery, and toe curling sexual encounters that leave readers completely satisfied. I have yet to read to a story of hers that I didn't absolutely love.
And this story, while it be a short novella, was packed with everything a good romance story should have and then some! The story line pulled me in right away, and had me flying through the pages, I was dying to know more with each sentence I read. The heated banter and sexual chemistry between Penny and Sawyer made for one hellaciously hot read, which is sure to put a smile on readers faces...and have them reaching for a fan!

Be prepared to read this latest offering from Avery Flynn and the Dare To Love world in one sitting because once you start you will not want to stop. This quick, fun, hot read grabbed me from the first line and kept me glued till the end.
Penny and Sawyer were such a fun couple to read. Their verbal for play is hot and when they give in and hit the sheets, wowza. Did it just get warmer in here?
Add in a little mystery, a bet, a super hot tattoo (yes I'm a fan of them) and you get a perfect afternoon read. How can you resist when you see what Penny names Sawyer's manhood, and with good reason, but it still had me in stitches.
I unashamedly love this authors writing and can't wait for more.

It's not until she pulls a prank that she really gets to see him and the tension sizzles through the condo. His skills, as a cop, help her nab the thief stealing her talent. The idea for their hookup is fun and unique but the tension is typical Avery style. The heated descriptions for this man will leave nothing to the imagination. Read this in a quiet secluded place and enjoy the next hour with this hot and sultry read. Damn I love a man in and out of uniform. The author gave me a copy so I could give my honest review.

This novella was a light, easy read and a short diversion for awhile. The plot was a little weak for me...I wanted more angst & drama. Honestly, I felt as though Penny gave in to sexy Sawyer way too easily. For someone that's so tough, I didn't quite get that she'd hop into bed with Sawyer so quickly, especially since he'd had a VERY active after hours life up to that point. Sure, not everyone's a virgin when they meet, but when you hear your neighbor's regular sexcapades, I'm thinking that's gonna be a bit of a turn off. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I thought Penny would make Sawyer work a little harder for it. All that being said, the novella was sexy & I enjoyed a few laughs.

Penny Dare is a talented, sassy tattoo artist with a hot,sexy neighbor who is a cop trying to forget his last stressful assignment by loudly burying himself every night in one night stands. When Penny retaliates one night, she finally meets Sawyer Dixon and the sparks fly. Penny tries to deny what she feels but Sawyer loves a challenge and goes for what he wants. They are eventually teamed up to solve a mystery but will they be able to keep their minds on business? This story may be short but it is filled with a bit of mystery, and lots of fun banter and hot chemistry making it well worth the ride!

Penny Dare is annoyed with her neighbor Sawyer Dixon and his revolving door of women because they share a wall between their condos and she can hear everything. When Penny gets a good look at Sawyer "Mr. Anaconda C**k" the sparks fly. Penny needs help catching the person who is stealing her tattoo designs and Sawyer says that he will help her with that. Penny doesn't do relationships so how will it end?
I loved Penny! I thought she was awesome. Seriously, to not only be a tattoo artist but to own a tattoo shop? That is badass! Sawyer was just hot! I really enjoyed reading about them and would recommend this book.

Hot and sensual describes Penny and Sawyer. Sawyer never knew his annoyed neighbor was a smoking hot redhead. He wants to do anything he can to get her into bed, but too bad for him Penny doesn't fall at his feet like most women. Luck may just be on this sexy cop's side when Penny needs help to find her tattoo thief. Penny hates lies and Sawyer is keeping a doozy of one. Can Sawyer come clean before it's too late? or has he lost the best thing to happen to him? This book not only has the heat, but it has humor too. When Sawyer and Penny come together it's explosive. Sawyer is a dirty taker too. It's a quick enjoyable read.

Avery!!! WOW, even double WOW!! This is all I can say….OH! MY! HEAVEN! This is an outstanding book. Thank you for the ARC. I could not put it down. The only thing I found wrong with it was it was definitely too short, I wanted it to go on, and on. I loved Penny and Sawyers story, you kept the reader wanting to keep reading, and then read some more. I liked the way you described the way a tattoo artist feels about their work. Avery did a phenomenal job describing how the artist feels regarding the piracy of their art, just phenomenal.

Super sexy fun read that is perfect for a relaxing afternoon read. In this short novella Penny Dare and Sawyer Dixon meet in the most interesting way. The attraction is immediate and strong and getting to spend more time with his next door neighbor is high on Sawyers list! After working with her to discover who is stealing her tattoo designs, he knows spending a little time with her just won't do but after Penny discovers he's made a bet about her she won't even give him a little. Drastic measures must be taken!!
This is a great addition to Carly Phillip's Kindle World Dare to Love series. I definitely recommend it!

What an e-book. Love Avery's stories and this was another fun Dare story.

Avery Flynn has another hit on her hands. I love Carly Phillips Dare world and Avery has more than 1 book written as part of her Kindle Worlds series. Avery is a talented writer and this book is an excellent show case for those talents. Penny and Sawyer make a great couple and I love Penny's nickname for him. I found myself laughing out loud at times and I couldn't put this book down easily. I can't say enough good things about this book. It is one that I'll be reading again. It gets 5 stars from me along with a must read.

September 27, 2015Daring Ink is a great addition to the Dare To Love Kindle World series. In this book we are introduce to Penny Dare, who is a strong heroine who really doesn't need a man around. Until she meets Sawyer, the hottie next door who is driving her crazy. I love the bantering between these two, and how even though they seem opposite (her a little more serious, him a go with the flow guy) their personalities really compliment each other. Avery did a fantastic job with this story, and I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good sexy read

Avery Flynn's Daring Ink is an amazing one sit read. In case you don't know what a one sit read is, it's when you start a book and don't get out of your seat until you finish. Avery has balanced a mixture of laugh out loud humor with a sassy heroine, macho hero and a bit of drama. Daring Ink is a fast paced quick read. I loved the characters, the humor, the story. I look forward to reading more from Avery Flynn soon. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
