I guess I would describe myself as a southerner even though I have lived in the north of England for some years now, I work hard to keep my accent intact. After having several careers in the arts, conservation and education where writing or using my imagination has always been in the background I finally took the plunge with self publishing in 2014.

In 2017 I was awarded a Gold Medal for the Fiction - Gay/Lesbian/LGBT category in the Global Ebook Awards for my double novel Out of The Blue - Latent memories.

My first book to be published with Ylva in 2019 was Payback, it was made a finalist in the 2019 Lesfic Bard Awards.

My latest book - Sub-Rosa is set in the south of England and revolves around corruption in a small town and an undercover police officer desperate to find the truth.

I started off not expecting to like this book, but it drew me in and I found it really sweet and hot in equal amounts. The two MCs relationship is cute and they have some genuinely great moments together. Their relationship isn’t perfect, but neither is it over the top angst and drama.

This is a very real, feel-good story and that makes the very VERY glaring fact this book very badly needs editing stand out even more. The POV randomly switches from Sasha in 1st person to Max in 3rd person, there are logic fails and fact-checking mistakes (sign language and accents, most notably) and the grammar really needs to be looked at. Practically every sentence is written in the same form, plus semicolons and colons abound. This book has a lot of potential, but these technical errors get in the way of enjoyment (of this detail-obsessed geek anyway).

Overall, a nice, light read for anyone who can turn off their analytical mind for a while.

Normally for something this rough, I wouldn’t give it more than a three, but I liked this story so much it gets a four-star rating.

Pleasant Read

This is a pleasant romance with two nice characters in Sasha and Max. The majority of the book is told by Sasha and her POV. There is a great deal of internal talk which gets annoying after a while. Much of their issues would have been solved if they just talked about their feelings and then the story could have really evolved. Still, it was a pleasant, if not deep read. Hope they are happy together.

Touching Tourist Finds Romance Story

After Sasha takes the buyout from the accounting firm in London, she decides a six month trip to America is what she needs. Ending up. In small town South Carolina, she meets Max Butler, who is taking care of her mother. A journey of self discovery may lead to a new life. Happiness is a journey not a destination. Recommend.

Fabulous book

I loved this book. I loved how they met and how everything unfolded for them. I loved that Sasha has decided that she really wanted to be with Max and moved to the United States

Love can see you through

Amazing how we are able to get through things that would ruin us when someone else is by our side, I really enjoyed the dynamic between Max and Sasha.
