While most of the Dummies series are written for fairly intelligent people who just got a new something, this book was written for people who can't even spell dummy. And the futile attempts at humor fall flat The first 25% is so general and uninformative that it was useless. 'Just keep reading, I'll tell you good stuff later' The rest was a patronizing spoon fed open-your-mouth here comes the choo choo dross
If you've never used a smart phone and just an iPhone and Apple Watch, go to an Apple Store and let them help you it will get it set up, you'll learn how to use most of the features - all in less time that it takes to read the first few unhelpful chapters. Or find a friend who has these.

What surprised me the most about this book was its longevity - three years after publication, much of it was still relevant for my latest-gen watch.

Well-written and easy to follow, the step-by-step instructions were accompanied by plenty of screenshots.

The Part of Tens was a little disappointing, as it simply repeated things found in the book.

I read this book hoping to uncover how to have the Apple Watch be more useful. I learned a few new tricks and appreciate the straightforward and easy explanations. My only complaint is that even though the book was published in December 2018, it's quickly becoming outdated only 10 months later. Even some of the recommended apps / games in the book are no longer available.

Does the trick for a dummies book. Some basic tricks and customizations.

Of course, everything can be searched online and there are better video tutorials for challenging issues but it's sometimes convenient to have in book form. Quick scan and several useful changes to my older watch.

Wouldn't pay $20-25 for the book but was a nice library checkout.

I am all about the Dummies books...I just love them! I also think they're an awesome reference to keep on hand for after I think I know all about my new device. Then is a great time to go back through and re-read the "manual" and pick up things I missed the first time around.

Obsolete ... but I still have the first version of the Apple Watch. I still refer to the book but the iOS software has been updated so much it no longer applies.

Solid guide

This is a solid guide to the Apple Watch. Helpful in the typical Dummies Guide way. Nothing spectacular, but gets the job done.

I thought this would be helpful...until I realized that I'd purchased my iwatch in 2016 and this book was published in 2015. What a difference a year makes!
