The ultimate compendium of the international and New York Times bestselling series, this fun omnibus features the complete content from all four books— F in Exams , F for Effort , F this Test , and F in Pop Quiz —plus more than 100 brand-new, sadly real, hilariously wrong student answers ( What is the role of a catalyst in a chemical reaction? It lists the cats involved). Also including bonus trivia in the form of "Stuff They Should Have Taught Us in School" facts (did you know a sneeze can travel up to 100 MPH?), this A+ collection will amuse anyone facing down a test as well as those happy to have the classroom behind them.
Look, it's not bad, for what it is, but I was hoping for holding-my-sides, I-am-actually-in-pain laughter, and while the elementary/middle school chapter (WHICH WAS ABOUT 4 PAGES LONG) delivered (mostly), the rest was pretty much wise-ass high schoolers, under the impression that they were much funnier than evidence would suggest, goofing off on tests they didn't bother to study for. As I noted in my, err, notes, maybe that would have been more bearable if I'd been in the mood for bad dad jokes.
Anyway, easy way to pad my 2018 Reading Challenge book count :/
This book is somewhat amusing. The quotes are all handwritten, which is a nice touch and gives it a bit of character. However, this isn’t a book that you really read in one sitting. It’s more to pick up occasionally when you need a laugh, and then set it back down. The earlier chapters with elementary students are the best. By the time you get to the sections with answers from teenagers or even adults, you start to feel as if they were just screwing around. I received a copy of this book from Goodreads in exchange for an honest review.
A fun quick read. Some of it seemed contrived and some of the art work added for the readers benefit. None the less enjoyable. I would have liked to seen the correct answers at the end of the students answer just for my entertainment. I also wondered if they asked students to deliberately write a funny answer. I guess it doesn't matter if it humored me, and it did.

Funny examples of student answers. It's a quick, fun read on a rainy day. Formatting is a little weird in the kindle edition. It's cute, but I think teachers or parents who've had to help kids with homework will get the most enjoyment out of it.
Borrowed for free from the library, and it was worth the price.
Seriously, though, I didn’t think much about this book. My students make gaffes like this all the time. This person just put them together in one volume. Bravo for him, but it’s just not really worth even the time to look through.
Another criticism: the pictures to match some of the mistakes were not drawn by the people who made the errors. Whether the handwriting is authentic or not is in question, but the person who wrote “frog” instead of “fog” did not then draw a picture of a frog.
Cute book for about ten seconds, then something to collect dust on a shelf. Give it a pass.
Seemed like a lot of the items were made up. Could be because they were rewritten for the book. Also seemed as though a lot of them may have been thought up well after an exam, when there would be time to come up with something clever.
There are some laugh out loud anecdotes in this book but much of it seems blatantly contrived. If you enjoy the obviously staged scenes in America’s Funniest Videos you will love this book.
I don't know if these are actual answers to questions given to school kids but, if they are, we, as a species, are doomed unless our education systems greatly improve, and soon!
This is a fun book to read a bit at a time! The author posts silly answers that students wrote on his exams in school. Some are really funny! I also had a good time seeing if I knew the correct answers to the questions!
Remembered this being funnier but going back to this material for this edition it just...wasn't. I don't know if I've changed or if the original collection was better. Skip it.
Good for some laughs...terrifying to think of our future generations. Out of almost 900 pages, about 25 were lol quality. Most were chuckle or heh quality.
Funny, sarcastic, good for a laugh. Pick this book when you need a light read, a break from the usual, or simply when you could use a good dose of humor.
I once got a chuckle correcting a spelling test where a student responded to "Use the word THRILLED in a sentence" with "My brother thrilled a hole in the floor with our electric drill." Likewise I got some chuckles and laughs from this quick read. Like the student above, some of these younger ones really didn't know the answer and just took a stab at it. Obviously, some of the teens just rattled off a Smart Alec answer, but I found this book an interesting and pleasant diversion.
