Just when it seemed pets couldn't get any more adorable, we discovered Tiny Cat. Direct from Japan, this is the sweetest—and smallest—pet around. It is size of a macaron, and its mischievous adventures in a full-size world are chronicled in the pages of this pint-size volume. Animal lovers of any size will enjoy following along as Tiny Cat encounters everyday objects like a strawberry, a ball of yarn, a rubber ducky, and more. The resulting cuteness knows no limits, especially since the book includes a tear-out postcard to send to a friend!
With the help of photo editing software, cute kittens are miniaturized next to a variety of small objects. The Photoshop effect works more successfully in some photos than others. No one can deny the cuteness of kittens, but I feel this would have worked better as a calendar or planner than a book.
Tiny Cat is a collection of colored photographs of young kittens miniaturized and juxtaposed among items of small size.
There is no text in the book to basically connect one photo or event to another thus the reader is basically just flipping through a collection that's only connected to one another through theme. A few photographic elements that repeat themselves are a small metallic basket and some dragon tears while others are just repeated in their own sequence.
These photographs aren't overwhelmingly amazing and there are a few that do not seem to be too well edited but at the same time they are also not too bad as well.
All in all it was cute but not really a satisfying or fulfilling read for one who may actually be looking for a more meaty read.
