A quick read for children. I read this with my 5 & 6 year old who found the story dull and simplistic, it's definitely for younger children. There is no real story or message so I think this one is definitely for fans of the show. A nice amount of illustrations for a digital copy and nicely laid out.

Its Easter and the Easter Bunny has hidden Caillou's eggs at grandma's house. Once Caillou has found all of his eggs he decides to hide some for his sister to find.

This book is perfect for young children it has easy to understand words and straight forward sentences. My little boy had seen the Caillou cartoon before so he recognised the character so I think that helped him to be even more interested in me reading this story to him.

One of the best things about this children's book is the bright and colourful pictures it really helps set the scene for the story.

I liked how the adults asked Caillou to be involved in hiding the easter eggs for his younger sister. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old so its always nice to see the older sibling taking an interest in the younger ones happiness.

The story was short enough to keep my 3 year olds attention but with just enough content to be interesting. This book is perfect for Easter especially if like my child he has always been a bit too young to understand about the Easter Bunny!

I like to talk about the books we read together so I asked my son questions like where would you hide the Easter eggs for your sister. I also asked him to show me certain objects like the eggs, squirrel & Caillou. I think this all helps to develop a childs understanding and books like these which deal with occasions are extremely helpful.

I would recommend this book to anyone with small children it was a helpful tool to explain the ideas behind an easter egg hunt. So now I have just got to sort our very own Easter egg hunt, wish me luck!

4 stars from me & Dex

I am not too sure how I feel about this book - I get the impression this was first released in 1987 so I am not understanding the reasons for reprinting this book.

While not being terribly exciting, this was a decent enough story of Caillou's visit to his grandparents house for Easter. He takes part in an Easter Egg Hunt and then hides some for his sister to find.

With bright, simple illustrations, this is a quick and fun read for kids.

“Calliou, Easter Egg Surprise” is an illustrated Caillou story from author Kim Thompson. Children are sure to enjoy this fun and festive tale featuring classic Caillou characters, including his sister, Rosie, and his grandparents. This is the perfect little Easter treat to read, with the help of a parent or older friend. The kind and loving relationship between Caillou and Rosie is a feature of this novel. I highly recommend this book to fans of Caillou, or to those looking for a secular Easter story to enjoy.

I received this book through NetGalley.

I read this book with my two year old and he loved it. We had to read it again. Caillou goes to visit his grandparents for Easter and they have hidden eggs in their yard for Caillou and his sister Rosie to find. Rosie is asleep so Caillou finds all the eggs and then plays Easter Caillou and hides the eggs for Rosie to find. This was a cute Easter story and we both enjoyed it.

This book is perfect for a 3-year-old - especially one who liked the Caillou cartoon series. It is relatable- Caillou searches for eggs (and they can be hard to find!), and then he learns it is just as fun to hide them. I suspect older children would find it too simple, but it hits its target audience very well!

This was a very quick read with colourful illustrations. My two young grandsons enjoyed the story, but didn't feel that they were particularly enthusiastic over the story.

This is a cute story about Caillou's family visiting Grandma and Grandpa on Easter. They have hidden eggs for Caillou and Rosie. When Rosie falls asleep, Caillou does not want to hunt for eggs without her. Grandma suggests the Caillou search for the eggs and then hide more for Rosie. Caillou takes a lot of care hiding the eggs for his little sister. A great way for older siblings to see a way to help/have fun with a younger sibling. These books are geared for toddlers (3 - 5) and their families and I would recommend it for family libraries.
