Yaotl and Jensen, though, are a Tarra'an and a Contolte who live as brothers. Yearning to stay together , they find no safe place where both can be welcomed.

When her path crosses that of the two men, and she finds one of them injured, they decide to escape down the burning, warring mountain together. I do love Jill Penrod's Balia series. although it may not be action oriented enough for some, the stories are always strong and the characters are as beautifully fleshed out as always. this book deals strongly with themes of prejudice and hate and how badly it can hurt a person. It is a well written tale with a hopeful ending and I can't wait to see what comes next!
