Overall: I DNF'd every story I read, so I decided to just... stop lol. Here's everything I wrote before I hard DNF'd it.
(These stories didn't have page numbers, so we're doing our best guesses!)
Soul Rebel - C.J. Pinard - DNF around page 37 No thanks.
Deadly Beauties - C.M. Owens - DNF but no idea where Oof. Big yikes. Every person in Alyssa's life is terrible, actually. I actually got pretty far in this one, but then I put it down and didn't pick it up for two weeks, so I gave up on it lol.
Crush (The Crush Saga, #1) - Chrissy Pebbles Officially stopped on chapter 6 of this story.
I'm giving this 3 stars only because of the first two stories. The first one was decent with an okay storyline and nice but somewhat unimaginative writing. The second one however was really quite good. So good in fact that I purchased the entire rest of the series and read them immediately. I even purchased the first one which is in this anthology just so I can delete this particular book. The rest I skimmed and / or didn't finish.
I almost DNFd this book for the first story. I absolutely hated the main character and felt he was gross. The writing and lore were also all over the place. Most of the rest of the stories were more enjoyable, though the last two stories that are supposed to be linked had too many conflicts in detail which threw me off.
Crush (The Crush Saga, #1) - 2 stars When Taylor sparks moves with her family to California her meeting with the locals doesn't go as expected. Her new crush Jesse is hiding something from her.
Really? One stupid mistake after another for the characters. tThe characters don't have much of an attention span, they jump from one thing to another. Taylor just acts dumb and has no common sense whatsoever. The characters were flat, there was no substance to them at all. I thought the writing was sloppy and the story did not have as much action as I thought it would.
I enjoyed some of the stories and did not like some. This is an eclectic anthology. If you are into a variety of vampire this is your best way to find an author you might like
