Prior to watching the X-Men film trilogy some years ago, I was unfamiliar with the character of Rogue. Still, I was impressed with her character; in fact, I used to have a thing for Anna Paquin, who played her.

While this comic focusing on her was fun, I've read much better over the years; I kind of prefer the Classic X-Men issues to this. Still, for a discount buy at 2nd & Charles, you can do much worse.

Only recommended for Rogue fans with a background in comics as this alludes to several past series without any backstory.

I still plan to complete the series despite the lackluster beginning.

I've never been a big X-Men fan, but this issue was awesome. I don't doubt the rest of the mini-series will be as well.

This is a very deserving "Rogue #1." We get to see a story about her past, as she rushed to the south and fights against her flooding emotions regarding Cody and Gambit. It seems like a story about moving on, and I think the rest of the issues are gonna prove me right. And a Cajun group of X-Men villains called "Gris Gris," "Bella Donna," "Questa," and "Fifolet" is so perfectly fitting. I'm already a fan.

90s comics at their finest.

Lots and lots of southern drawls in this one, that’s for sure.
