Fiona Cantrell is a woman on a mission. More aptly put, she's a Fairy Godmother on a mission. Her dream of moving to London is about to come true now that all that stands between her and her new job is a few unpacked suitcases. Or so she thinks until her old boss shows up with one more little task for her to complete before she leaves for Europe. Her new assignment involves a handsome cowboy named Cody, his two rascally nephews, and a mountain of laundry...all of which would be no problem for any self-respecting Fairy Godmother.
While Fiona manages to handle the laundry and the boys, she quickly learns that she's not immune to Cody's considerable charm. It takes everything she's got to stay focused on completing her task so she can head to London. But when tragedy strikes, Fiona realizes that it will take more magic than she has to try to save a life and mend her own broken heart.
Caroline Mickelson loves her family and loves to write. She also loves a good adventure, among her favorites thus far were attending graduate school in a Scottish castle, riding a camel around the Pyramids in Giza, and taking a best-in-a-lifetime road trip to Graceland. Caroline lives in the American southwest with her husband and their four children, affectionately known as The Miracles.
This is a very cute and magical romance! Even though this is a pretty quick read, it was very enjoyable and fun. I loved the concept of the main character Fiona being a fairy godmother and having magical powers through her glitter. This is a very cute and unique idea- something that I actually never read before! I also enjoyed how quick and easy the relationship between Fiona and Cody (who is a cowboy btw) developed. It was all very sweet! If you enjoy short stories, stories filled with magic, and all around fun than I suggest picking this book up! Highly enjoyable. I look forward to reading more books by the author in the future!!
Magic Wand Ranch is an enjoyable romantic comedy novella that will make you smile!
Author Caroline Mickelson weaves a sweet romantic comedy that follows Fairy Godmother Fiona Cantrell as she embarks on one final assignment before she moves to London. Fiona's assignment is to babysit two little boys at their uncle Cody's ranch. So what's a girl to do when she unexpectedly finds herself falling for a handsome cowboy?
This was a delightful romantic comedy that was such a fun read. I was thoroughly entertained by the quirky mixture of romance and witty comedy in the story, it is filled with enough humor, drama, and romance that is sure to leave a smile on your face. You can't help but get drawn into Fiona and Cody's story, it will keep you laughing as two cute little boys' crazy antics help spark magic into an unexpected romance between Fiona and Cody, providing them with a chance at finding true love.
Magic Wand Ranch is a lighthearted romantic comedy novella that is perfect to read in one sitting.

Magic Wand Ranch is a cute short romantic story involving a bull riding cowboy, Cody, and a Fairy Godmother, Fiona. The story is a boy meets girl setting infused with two young boys adding mischief and disasters. Cody and Fiona's story left me smiling & all warm & fuzzy on the inside. Looking forward to the next story.
5 stars for the smiles this book brought me. This is a story about a fairy godmother that finds herself on a ranch with a cowboy and his 2 nephews. I had to laugh when the boys accidentally saw her wings and the sexy cowboy thought the wings looked like a tattoo.
MAGIC WAND RANCH is the third book in the Special Gifts series. I was not warned that it was a continuation and that did cause some initial confusion, but I caught on quickly enough.
This is a very sweet and cute romance. I think I fell in love with the boys as much as, if not more than the adults! I was very entertained by this short listen (audiobook) and will definitely listen again. The conclusion was heartwarming and sigh-worthy. Cody is a total swoon of a cowboy!
I’m looking through my kindle to see if I have any more of Ms. Mickelson’s books!
Note: while I was given this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Fiona and her continuing intense dislike for Tessa meant I got off to a rocky start with this story. It becomes something quite sweet and funny, but it took me a bit to get to a point where I was actually cheering for Fiona. Cody does the cowboy hero image proud. He’s noble and caring and just what I wanted him to be. His nephews are everything I was expecting from this pair of imps, and they are the source of most of the comedy. I loved the ending, and I really enjoyed the way it redeemed a character that wasn’t my favorite when the story started. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout as part of the box set.
The easiest and happiest of reads. Cute, short, sweet, funny and romantic!
I listened to this as an audiobook and it brought me loads of smiles and warmed my heart.
An easy to listen too heart warming story and another book I am delighted to have stumbled across. A follow on from Witch Weigh but also works completely on its own!
I’m now off to find some more Caroline Mickelson’s to keep me smiling!!
Sometimes the “supernatural” parts of stories can take over but in this story, the magic is simply a gorgeous layer of icing on a very enjoyable cake 😍
My review is based on the Audiobook. What a Fun story to listen too. It was easy paced and flowed naturally. I loved everything about it. Leonor A. Woodworth did a wonderful job as narrator. I like how she differentiated between the male/female and younger nephews voices. It was very easy to follow the story and know who was speaking. I will definitely be reading more o Caroline Mickelson's work.
I like everything about magic and cowboys in my reads, so this book has all the ingredients for a magical romance. The kids were written hilariously and the style in general was really good and enjoyable. The ending wasn’t predictable but it could’ve been better, and the best part was that it’s a clean romance.
What happens when a Fairy Godmother has her own Godmother (Godfather) wave a magic wand, figuratively speaking. This is a short but very sweet story that actually answers that question. Recommended for all the romantics out thwre6
OMG! My heart broke so much! This book is a slow built perfect love story. All the characters are magnificent and I loved the kids and seeing Liam and Tessa again. Fiona and Cody are so adorable and afraid to get hurt that their story just warmed my heart and brought tears to my eyes.
The heroine in this cute story is faced with decisions and hard choices. The two little boys are just adorable and the hero will melt your heart. The narrator does a great job.
She’s an amazing author but bought this book 2018only sample sent. Then purchased this morning 3/13/21 paid full price both times. Both times only sent sample. Where’s the book?
Magic Wand Ranch is a feel good read. A great read if you like a little fairytale with your romance. Funny at times, it will make you smile. It is a refreshing story about a fairy god mother who makes wishes come true until an incident happens and she doesn't have anymore magic glitter to save the day.
MAGIC WAND RANCH was a light-hearted , refreshing listen. It was fun and enjoyable and worthy of five stars. Fiona's plans to go to London get diverted because she's needed to do one more task from her old boss Liam. This was to babysit the two sons of a friend Bethany named Mitchell and Brian. Meanwhile Bethany's brother Cody, a pro cowboy has been looking after them and is surprised when she shows up. He has a big rodeo coming up and doesn't want to admit that he needs help with the boys. But there's a catch for Fiona.
I loved what Fiona did with the ranch as well as her new palomino horse named Glitter Girl. That was neat.
I thought this was a clean, cute listen with great characters. If you like this type of story (and I do) then this is a good one. The author CAROLINE MICKELSON did a super job writing this with Fiona being a fairy godmother and Cody whom she ends up falling for.
LEONOR A. WOODWORTH'S narration is brilliant. She nailed the characters as well as set a good pace for the story. With her voice, she was perfect for this book. She has a wonderful pitch with great voice inflections. She made it a super fun listen.

This was such a cute, loveable story. Although its only 139 pages long, it covers everything in the story and does allow you to engage with the characters. We follow Fiona, who is a Fairy Godmother. She is off to London on a new job. When Lucas, her old boss unexpectantly appears, he tells her she has one more assignment for her to do before she leaves for London. Mum of two boys, Bethany has been stressed out and extends her holiday, leaving her two boys with their uncle Cody, who is a hot Rodeo Cowboy! Bethany decides to send in some help in the form of Fiona. As Fiona arrives and settles into her new assignment she finds herself enjoying the boys company and falling for Mr Hot Cowboy, Cody. Will it be or wont it?. With Fiona soon to be in London, will she allow herself to fall in love with Cody or will her work come first?. I thought this had a great plot, i fell in love with the characters and i felt this was a unique fun story. Everyone loves a little magic!. I found myself smiling throughout. And there are some twists and turns added to the mix. All i need now is my own Hot Cowboy and a wand of glitter. Well done Caroline Mickelson.
Fiona is a Fairy Godmother and has a job assignment coming up in London and she is busy counting down the days till she arrives. That is until her old boss Lucas shows up and has one little assignment for her to do before she heads to the land of Big Ben, The London Eye and Buckingham Palace. A Fairy Godmother is in need for Bethany as she has been stressed out lately and decided to extend her holiday, which means her two boys who are currently being looked after by their Rodeo Cowboy uncle Cody needs a touch of Mary Poppins . As Fiona arrives, she finds herself a little out of depth, but as the book goes along - she finds herself not only having fun with the boys but also falling for Mr. Cowboy . How can this happen now, just as she is about to leave for the other side of the world ? Will Love be revealed for Cody and Fiona ? Or will things be too late with Cody heading off on his new Rodeo Circuit and Fiona off to London and never being able to mutter those three words that everyone wants to hear in their lives at one point or a rather ?
Magic Wand Ranch by Fiona Cantrell is a short romantic comedy that will make you smile, if not chuckle out loud. The story centers around Fiona, a Fairy Godmother who is getting ready to move to London. However, before she leaves, she must complete one more task. Fiona is assigned to help out Cody, a handsome cowboy, with his two young and rambunctious nephews while their mother is out of town. It goes without saying that Cody and Fiona have an instant attraction to each other. The rest of the story is filled with fun and frolic as the group travels to a rodeo event where Cody will compete and try to win a lucrative sponsorship deal.
I listened to the Audible version of this book narrated by Leonor Woodworth, who did a great job. She clearly differentiated between male and female voices and the younger nephews. She also changed the tempo in her performance when warranted. I received a copy of this audio in exchange for an unbiased review.
Fashionable fairy godmother Fiona Cantrell is thrilled with her new promotion to Chief Liaison to the United Paranormal Council's European division. But as she packs for London, her plans are put on hold when she is assigned to babysit two young boys on their uncle's ranch without the benefit of her magic wand and glitter. Cody Proctor has his hands full while his sister takes a much needed break. Fiona and her designer clothes are quite out of place on his ranch, but she gamely join he and his nephews on the rodeo circuit. Soon the magic between them becomes quite apparent, until Fiona is faced with one of the most difficult decisions of her life...
What a cute story! I am not one to read any 'fantasy/magic' type books as I prefer realistic fiction but I have grown to LOVE Caroline Mickelson's books! This is the second one that I have had the pleasure in reading. If only I had a little glitter in my life to 'fix' things and end up with the handsome cowboy in the end, I would be set! Great holiday/weekend read!
