Basic guidelines to start using Alexa

I was hoping to get more of an understanding of what Alexa can do instead of what makes Alexa unique. Half the guide is what makes Alexa the best thing out there.

Alexa and I are still getting acquainted with each other! Thx!

I found to be very interesting yet a little outdated already as I did not receive a remote with my Amazon Echo that was bought for me as an early Christmas gift this year. She seems to already have far reaching voice control so I guess that's why a remote was not packed in with her. So the parts that you talked about using a remote was a bit confusing Andrew. Otherwise a great job! I would recommend this for a newbie who has a remote to use with Alexa. I received this for free using KU, and in return, here is my honest review. By Sunny.

Very very basic

I was hoping for more. I don't think it explores the possible uses. Very weak on coNnected home and Doesn't mention IFTTT. Possibly never updated from 2015.

Pretty good

There is an error about alarm being only for 24 hours. On app, you can pick multiple days to set multiple alarms.. otherwise pretty good

Amazon Echo:Master your Amazon Echo, user guide

I gave this book 3 stars because It was really easy to read and understand. It was not to technical. The steps in setting up the Echo was so easy to follow.
The only thing that I was disappointed in was the author could have been more informative and in giving more interesting tips.

Usually sceptical

Most of the kindle guides I've read for various products - Fire tablets, for example, have been disappointing. Poor grammar, bad English, and downright lack of information as to usage, and such.
This was well written and contained a good overview and some helpful info about the Amazon Echo.

Good book when looking to buy Echo.

The reason I gave this book 3 stars because the title is kind of misleading. It really should be name something like "Reasons to Buy Echo' because this book reads like one big endorsement. The Author writes very well but a big disappoint personally for me because I was looking for a guide or manual to master my Echo .

Great device

Alexa is pretty savvy and responds quickly to your requests. .I use her mainly for my type of music and weather reports. She is absolutely great at finding radio stations with my type of music. She won't marry me,would rather we stayed friends.

Ok, if you lose the manual.

There is little here that isn't in the online info provided by Amazon. There is some updated feature information that was useful. I read it as a Kindle Unlimited offering so I got what I paid for.

Basic and repetitive.

I found the book a bit repetitive. This is probably a good read for someone with limited computer skills, but I don't feel I learned much.

A lot of words, but very little new things

This seems like it was written as a marketing piece, not a user guide. It uses a lot of adjectives and repeats the most basic feature descriptions several times, but didn't tell me anything I didn't already know from using Alexa for a few weeks.
