Lillian Williams has a feisty attitude, a smart-ass mouth and demands respect from everyone; despite having a little self-image problem because she has a few extra pounds.She believes everyone is worthy of a second chance and to be forgiven for their mistakes.
Xavier James knows who he is. He is a damaged man and he only needs women for two things: to dance in his club and to bend over his desk.
He tries to leave Lilly alone but he has become obsessed with spending time with her. He wants to not only worship her body, but also talk to her; get to know her as a person. He wants to prove to her that a man can find her luscious body desirable, but will he?
When they are together he is flirty, he laughs and he has a constant smile on his face. The person he is around her confuses the hell out of him.
Xavier wants to fully claim Lilly as his own, but he won't because he knows sooner or later he will hurt her. It is what he does.
He doesn't deserve the kind of happiness that she promises.
Will he forgive himself of past crimes and let her in?
Will he believe her about the past being the past and only the now is all that matters?
Will he let her prove to him that he is worth the chance to be loved by someone like her?

X~Treme Confusion, part one is the debut novel by Taylor Johns and if this is her first book I am very excited to see what she writes next.
This book had me hooked from the very first page that I read it in one sitting, The book is fast paced and doesn't lull at any point. The writing is clear and descriptive and the characters show depth and development as the story progresses. At one point in the story I said at loud 'Xavier you are an idiot' I would highly recommend this book for people who love a good fast paced story. Now I'm off to start book two.

OMG, hotter than a four alarm fire! Xavier is pure hotness! Love Lilly and his bantering. Great story, lots of intense situations. Needing a cold shower after this read.

This was the first time that I have read any books by Taylor Johns. I really enjoyed this quick read only 114 pages per Goodreads. I loved the smart-a** mouth on Lillian Williams. I think she is giving Xavier James a run for his money! He needs someone like her and I think that is why he is falling hard and fast for her. He is used to girls being selected for him to bang on a desk in his office. Lillian doesn’t come along easily and I think that is the kind of girl he needs.

I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more in this series. This was not an ARC and I can’t remember where I saw it recommended but, glad that I read the book. I can’t wait to read more.

I give X-Treme Confusion 4.5 stars.

I was gifted this book for an honest review and just let me say OMG!!! Taylor Johns totally does an awesome job with this book. It is well written, fast paced and keeps you glued to your seat. I instantly fell into a love/pissed off feeling about Xavier and Lilly is an sassy, fun loving strong willed woman. I really love the fact that Lilly deals with many issues that many of women deal with and that is body image and how we think we look versus how others see us. This book is a MUST READ AND TO ME IS 5 STARS. Taylor Johns rocks it and now I'm on to part 2.

Xavier is a sexy beast and he loves women. Till he met Lily. Sweet sassy Lily. He longs for something or someone more. Lily haunts him. Can she give him peace. Beautiful, sassy, womanly Lily has her own hang ups but can't believe Xavier wants her. This story made me laugh at the banter between them, loved his caring ways BUT there is a dark side to him. so many secrets. oh please don't hurt Lily.
Can't wait to read part 2.

Xavier is the ultimate messed up obsessive, moody Alpha and I love him!! I feel for Lilly, I don't think I would have latest as long as she does... this book is hot and delish and I can't wait for book 2, I need more of Xavier in my life!!
