Tracie Peterson is one of my favorite authors who writes historical Christian fiction. She never disappoints and writes from the heart. This was a bonus book with author Amy Rognlie. I've never read any of her work before. She did a good job in keeping me interested in the story but to be honest, it took me a long time to finish this book. It wasn't that the book was super long, I just have a lot going on right now. Worth a read. Enjoy.

I love Tracie Peterson, so I picked this book up thinking I would get a whole 300 pages of story. Yes, I did see that there was a "bonus story" included, but didn't think it would be half the book. That said, I was glad I was able to read two full stories. I never felt the stories were rushed and I was able to bond with the characters in each. Both stories are Christian historical fiction. You will read about scripture, praying, and the characters' faith in each story.

Logan's Lady:
Logan is set to show some city slickers from England around his beloved Colorado. Through all the trails he faces, he finds himself falling for one of of the party. A feisty young woman who tests him, but shows that she's determined not to be seen as weak or needy.

Along Unfamiliar Paths:
Ben is a sailor searching for a girl whose pictures is in a locket. His friend, Paul's, locket. While sailing, their ship began sinking, Paul asked him to deliver the locket to his beloved Raine. Ben didn't know where to begin looking, but his search for Raine takes him across the Atlantic and back again solving the mystery of who Paul really is.

I just finished reading this book and although Tracie is one of my favorite authors, this was not one of her best. The story was a good story but just by the title alone, once you begin reading, it is almost predictable how it is going to come out. The only suspense is how. It is basically about an English family coming to America with hopes that Amelia will marry the chosen one of her father.
