Bounty Hunters: Finding justice one fugitive at a time
This Love Inspired Suspense is a great read. The book is easy to read, page turner, a book everyone can read, It's suspenseful, mysterious, intriguing and yes even romantic. Loved this book. I highly recommend it and will read again and have. If I could have rated more than 5 stars I would have. Sandra Robbins did a great job writing this book. **TRIGGER WARNING** Please keep in mind though that this book deals with severe Domestic Abuse and if you been through that or know someone it may trigger bad memories. Go by your own judgement.
A very wounded heroine that needs way more healing than 218 pages to even consider another relationship. Several missteps in this book too that even a bounty hunter should have thought of all prevented some enjoyment for me. I read a lot of these books and maybe would have enjoyed it more if it was a newer genre to me :)
Yuletide Fugitive Threat is a Bounty Hunters book by Sandra Robbins. Mia Lockhart was terrified. The man who had killed her husband, Kyle, had been calling with threats. He wanted something but Mia had no idea what he wanted. Tony Chapman, the killer, knew where she lived and he told her he was coming for her. He wanted what was his. Mia knew she needed help but he had threatened her with death if she went to the police. Mia headed towards the only person she thought might be able to help, Lucas Knight. Lucas Knight was surprised to see Mia on his front porch. He had not seen her since she broke their engagement and married Kyle. He had been heartbroken. With the help of his family, he had gotten over her and got on with his life. He and his brothers ran Knight Fugitive Recovery Agency. Now Mia was asking for his help. Regardless of his feelings for her, he knew the Agency had to help; but Mia wanted him. With him, she felt safe. When she received another phone call while with him, he knew he had to help her. Tony seemed to know everywhere she went and who she talked to. How was he following her? Could Lucas find Tony and find out what it was he wanted before he could kill Mia or himself? Could he keep his heart uninvolved? What else was Mia hiding?
This book begins with a bang. I started the book and couldn’t put it down for at least sixty-two pages. That says something about how much I connected with the plot.
What I liked: I thoroughly enjoyed the way Ms.Robbins drew you into the story with emotional responses for both main characters. You can’t help feeling sympathy for Mia, the main character. You sense her fear, frustration, indecision, and utter desperation from the beginning of the story. Then when she introduces Lucas Knight, his anger then compassion, was evident enough to evoke strong emotion in me as a reader.
What I didn’t like: The only thing that made me a little uncomfortable was when Lucas put his family in danger by letting Mia stay at their house. In spite of the fact that they had some defensive training in their history, I thought he should have found a safe-house or another location that wouldn’t have endangered his family. But….maybe the author planned it this way to show that Lucas was not perfect and only human.
I loved this suspense book. I would give it more than five stars if possible. It was such a sweet story wrapped in suspense and tension, and I highly recommend it. It’s one I will be placing on my “multiple read” shelf for reading again at another time, and that says something.
Yuletide Fugitive Threat by Sandra Robbins Second chances come in strange ways. For Lucas Knight it is a pounding on his door early in the morning. Mia Fletcher needs protection from a killer who claims she has something he wants so it leads her to the door of a former boyfriend. friend. Sandra Robbins pulls you into the story by having strong developed characters who keep you hoping their faith and skills keep them safe. The story flows and you keep reading it because you have to know what happens next.
Very good book. From the beginning you learn who the suspect is but as you read more you discover there is someone else involved. The author gave you opportunities to determine who the other suspect is. She really makes you think about it. I did not figure it out! Darn I am usually so good at it!!
Sandra Robbins is a stong writer. She draws one rght into the story with her believable characters and hols you there. I read this in one night as I was drawn to find out the ending.I was not disappointed. I recommend it to all who enjoy a well writen mystery.
This is the 1st book I read by Sandra Robbins. I loved this book's story line. Some parts of this story was sad. This story had the right amount of action in it. I loved the action in this story. I loved Mia's character. My heart broke for Mia. I loved Lucas's character. I loved the ending. Awesome job Ms. Robbins.
Mia and Lucas are a good pair in this story. I enjoy bounty hunter tales and this one has a second chance romance element too. The key to Mia staying alive will be whether or not they can figure out what her late husband was up to before it’s too late. A quick moving suspense.
"This installment of the Bounty Hunters series delves into the topic of domestic abuse, and Robbins shares some startling statistics. The plausible storyline is perfectly paced throughout" (RT Book Reviews, 4 stars).
Actually, more like 3 1/2. I am conflicted. It was very well written, and a good story. I am giving it the benefit of the doubt because I read so many mysteries. For me, it was easy to figure out who the "hidden bad guy" was and where a certain item was hidden.
Another page-turner! WOW!!! You ladies know how to write the exciting ones, and you always have God right in the middle of everything, keeping His children protected even in the midst of chaos, and He brings them through the other side!!!!!
This book held the promise of being good. However, the bounty hunter, Lucas, had the instincts of a rock. Time and again he obliviously walked himself and Mia into danger. I was so frustrated with him by the end of the book that I didn't care how good of a guy he was supposed to be.
