I maybe shouldn't have, but I found it really funny that Clemont ended up in Team Flare's base, and the evil scientist was just like, "Hey, I'm too busy, so you do this for me. 'Kay, bye."

I really hate Malva, but I also think she's so bad ass. Braixen's so well trained and awesome, and she's always so composed like she's used to taking care of business.

Though the kids have made a decision to go on the offensive against Team Flare in an effort to relieve Y from having to take the reins, it backfires on them. It strains their relationship even more because they now have contrasting goals. Y wants to help her mom and the mind controlled villagers, and the others want to follow them as they cart the tree that is Xerneas to the hide out.

Y's mom also is pushing against the mind control in her worry over her daughter and acting as a sort of catalyst for the start of an all out chaotic battle. Korrina, Gurkin, and Diantha even enter the fray.

X is gifted an unruly Gengar making fast friends and totally dominating with an awesome looking Mega-Gengar. Good stuff. Well, my eyes were rolling a bit from how quickly X was able get Gengar to help, considering he was too undisciplined even for Gurkin, but whatever, it's fine.

Korrina gets hurt pretty badly and her key stone is stolen, and Malva and Diantha end up burying underground their fates unknown.

Team Flare’s plan makes so much more sense in the manga than in the game. It’s a way better story, although you don’t get to see a lot of the Kalos region.
