Didn't read this, had Stephan Fry read it to me while running, probably a different version

I like it, Greek gods like to get frisky with humans don't they?

Also I think the main point of this is like the values of Perseus and how his character (like personality) prevails, a much better way to portray that than like "The Old Man and The Sea"

I read these to my son. You can finish them in 3-4 bed times. He was about 4-5 at the time and liked them.

The young Olympians have been sent to search for hairy snakes. Zeus is not very excited about it, he doesn’t like snakes. They meet a mortal named Perseus who gives mislead them. Luckily they have each other and quite a few magical objects. When they find the ‘hairy snakes’ will they be able to defeat this terrifying nemesis?
As a read-alone, this book #14 is impossible to understand, there are a ton of characters and references to past adventures. I have a couple of fourth graders who love this series. This is a fun read for Greek mythology fans, but everyone else would just be confused.

As an adult reader, I am over this repetitive series; however, I understand the importance that this series still plays for young readers. The consistency and repetition allow young readers to gain confidence as they are also introduced to Greek mythology.

I liked how Perseus left Athena, Hephaestus, Hades, and Zeus with a hint about the thirteenth Olympian but didn't tell the his name because Perseus didn't get his name.
