Billionaire rock god Joseph Quinlan has a hot body, talented fingers, and thousands of adoring fans... but not the woman he wants. Now he needs to keep Eleanor close to find out whether she plans to betray him to the press, revealing his family’s darkest, most scandalous secrets. With steamy scenes, high passion, and hot performances throughout, let The Billionaire’s Revenge take you where the music rocks hard - all night long.
(I'm pretending that I am a fan in the audience...a young fan.) After all, the ability to escape reality (older woman) is what these books are all about. And I have yet to be disappointed by Julie Farrell. Now, I will confess right now, I've gone all fan-girl, and now generally manage to get an ARC. Just like this time. Best part of that - I get my fix early. Unfortunately, that just means I have to wait again. It takes the author a while to create these books. I've been waiting for Joseph ever since he was introduced. I love these boys ( I confess, so far I like Ivan best, but we'll see...) Because it is a series, by now, we have a relatively good idea of the older brothers. Joseph and Ellie develop fast. But super- speed development of the evil characters is Julie's specialty, and she does it again in this book. And again, the bad guys are villains of the worst water (as opposed to diamonds of the first water). Again, they have no morals, no compunction against hurting whoever they feel like. There is an underlying feeling of oily evilness from the moment the first one (Matthew) enters until the end of the last one.
*ARC generously provided for an honest review* The Billionaire's Revenge by Julie Farrell
Joseph, a rockstar, rich, sexy as hell……Eleanor, beautiful, smart and engaged….…but everything he want. This story will captivate you from the beginning, go and take this journey with Joseph and Eleanor.
The editing was horrible, words missing that would make a complete sentence that would make sense.. Hate having to stop and make sense out of a sentence.
The Billionaire's Revenge is the third entry in Julie Farrell's excellent Billionaire Romance series, & this time the spotlight falls (literally!) on the youngest Quinlan brother Joseph. The book starts in fine form with Joseph, now riding high as lead singer of his rock band onstage at a pulsating gig. As a reader, I really felt as if I were truly there in the audience watching this amazing spectacle. In the story however, freelance journalist Eleanor IS among the audience - she's captivated by Joseph's performance, & is starting to feel the pangs of passion for him! Only problem is, she's currently engaged to Joseph's unsavory Matthew, with whom she has a fractious relationship due to his history of cheating on her.
When Eleanor is offered a job at one of America's top tabloid newspapers, it seems her long-held dream has finally come true. But she soon discovers the underhand & illegal techniques that the company employs to obtain its sensationalistic stories, & becomes trapped in a moral dilemma. Now hooked up with rock-star Joseph in a very steamy & sensual affair, she soon discovers that his family have some secrets of their own that the press would love to expose - & they both become involved in dangerous game that could prove disastrous for both of them.
As with the first two books in the series, this is a well-written, tense & intriguing story - showcasing once again Julie's wonderful trademark descriptive & innovative writing style that really breathes life & energy into all the characters & situations. Not to mention some very creative & sizzling love scenes that are beautifully crafted & give this book a definite wow factor.
There's no need to read the first 2 excellent books first - you can start right here, as all the books in the series can be read individually (although after reading this you will no doubt be wanting to read those too!).
If you enjoy a red-hot & graphic love story that's realistic & intelligent, & packed with tension, intrigue & humor, then look no further than The Billionaire's Revenge - a book that definitely puts the roll into rock'n'roll!
Journalist Eleanor Davison is attending a concert in Greenwich Village featuring The Banned, Joseph Quinlan’s band, and she is captivated by the rock star’s charisma and passion. Six months later, Eleanor is engaged to Matthew, Joseph’s manager, and she sees the rock star every day. Joseph is very much attracted to Eleanor; Matthew has been cheating on her repeatedly, and one day she succumbs to Joseph’s charms.
THE BILLIONAIRE’S REVENGE is book 3 in Julie Farrell’s Tycoon Billionaires series and the younger Quinlan brother is featured. While the book features characters and events from the previous instalments, THE BILLIONAIRE’S REVENGE can be read as a standalone, as any details relevant to the story arc are supplied by the author.
I must admit that this is not what I expected with Joseph’s story. It seems the rather shy and quiet young man’s rapid ascension to rock superstardom brought out his alpha male side in spades. Joseph craves his privacy, and Eleanor now working for a tabloid does not make for smooth sailing! Especially when events related to both Joseph and Eleanor’s career successes take a turn for the worse, and involve some Quinlan family secrets as well.
Ms. Farrell’s superb writing reigns supreme again and her insight into yellow journalism is captivating. I love how the rock world seems totally authentic, the romance progresses organically, and the sex is very hot and steamy!
A complimentary copy of this book was provided by the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Joseph Quinlan is the youngest brother of the 4 brothers and 1 sister. His is a musician whose career has just taken off. He has signed a major record contract and from all outside appearance’s he should have everything he ever wanted. He’s cocky and arrogant and has all the women fawning over him. And although Joseph has enjoyed some of the attention, he has set his sights on one women who doesn’t seem to be affected by his charm.
Eleanor is a journalist, who is engaged to Joseph’s manager. She is working to get her career to take off and just looking for her break. She thinks Matthew, her fiancé, maybe her ticket when he introduces her to his boss, the media mogul Blair Robertson. Robertson does give Eleanor a job but not the one she wants. Now Eleanor must decide what kind of career she wants and what is she willing to do to get it.
Book 1 was Adam & Amy’s story, book 2 was Dylan & Sarah’s turn, now was Joseph and Eleanor’s turn. This was my favorite book in the series yet. That said, I also had to put the book down at one point because I knew I wasn’t going to like what was to come in the next chapter. Although, I was surprised, the book did not take the turn I expected.
"Money Can't buy you love" Julie's Billionaires series is incredible!. The story line of this book is amazing!. Plus the characters are fantastic!. In this book we meet sexy hot Joseph Quinlan Rock star Billionaire. Joseph always wanted to be a Rock star with the life style of drugs, sex and rock and roll. Only he tried drugs all they did was give him a headache, he is tired of one night stands with women who only want bragging rights, and his manger will not let him play the songs the way he wants. His dream life has now become his nightmare. The only thing he finds now that he wants is out of his reach, and that is Eleanor his Mangers fiance. He believes the sleeze ball is not good enough for her. Matthew proves him right one day when Matthew admits to cheating on Eleanor. After she breaks up with Matthew she decides to give this bad boy rock star a chance. This book is amazing it has lots of steamy hot romance, spine-tingling suspense and action. You will fall in love with this book! What woman does not dream of a sexy Billionaire!.
I was gifted the book in exchange for an honest review.
I Absolutely love this series and didn't think Julie could keep topping every book but she's that damn good!!!! OMG that is what I say about Joseph he took this series and his big brothers to the cleaners. He is a Rockstar, Rich, Sex God, and just a wonderful person. I wanted to hear his story the minute he was mentioned and he instantly became my favorite. Eleanor is looking for her break and is thrown a curve ball. Joseph is supposed to be her big break but she as most of his fans is attracted to him and also engaged to his producer . Is she loyal to him or just another slave to the tabloids. You'll have to read it to find out but it is so worth it.
This edition of Julie Farrell's Billionaire series started off a little fragmented for me but soon jumped into the story line. I tend to read books with a little bit older characters but this didn't seem to focus at all on the age of the characters. Pretty steamy scenes and not for the faint of heart. Joseph is a musician but not the stereotypical rock star any more. He's tired of the groupie scene and how the music agency is treating him. Then along comes Eleanor, who secretly has the hots for him, and he sees her as a challenge and his future. The story brings them together and sends them apart time and again until they both realize they were meant for each other.
Those Quinlan brothers. Rich, sexy and mysterious. Wherever they are trouble is sure to follow. The Billionaire's Revenge is Joseph's and Eleanor's story. Joseph is magnetic, handsome and a rock star. Eleanor is Joseph's sweet temptation. She's beautiful, smart and unavailable. Joseph is a Quinlan through and through. Trouble is his middle name. No is not in his vocabulary. Julie Farrell takes you on a sensuous trip through romance, suspense, interesting characters and ultimately love. Received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
This book started out slow for me. It did not pick up until the 3rd chapter. Joseph is a rock star and Eleanor is a free lance journalist. Eleanor is engaged to Joseph's manager(cheating on Eleanor). Joseph has been a man-whore the first six months of his rock stardom. He has been interested in Eleanor. Eleanor finally lands a job at gossip rag but has too much integrity to make up stories. Joseph and Eleanor act on their attraction for a sizzling hot romance.
I received an ARC copy of this book for my honest review. Not recommended for anyone under 18. Some explicit sex scenes.
I was so excited to get to read this book, I have loved the series. While you can read this alone it helps to read the others to know some back story.
We get to see the rock star in action and boy has he grown up! But he isn't happy with his life because it isnt what he expected. All he wants now is Eleanor who seems to be out of reach... or is she? I suggest you read this book, the characters and plot are great!
A MUST READ!!!!!!! This was a fantastic read. I was captivated from the very beginning all the way to the end. I couldn't put it down. I loved the chemistry between Joe and Ellie and the sex was hot, hot. hot. It also has action and suspense. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next book. READ THIS BOOK! YOU'LL LOVE IT!!!!! I received this book as a gift for an honest review. Patsy Sacco
