It is a good book, for those, who had never think about how everything is working deep inside, on machine level.

The explanation of all basic concepts are very good.

If you read this - you will have much better understanding of high-level languages and compilers.

Moreover, the last: 80x86 command have not been changed for 35 years old and used even in modern PCs. It is not only historical book, but it is also a manual for the future and related CPUs.
