True love really is blind...

After optometrist Kate Kapowski kicks her controlling husband—now ex-husband—to the curb, she is anxious for a change. So when sexy Logan Murray strides into her office wearing a smile that could stop traffic, she impulsively decides to proposition him. Her crash course in casual sex is encouraged by her well-meaning sister Julia. But as soon as Kate embraces the idea of carefree relationships, she starts to develop genuine feelings for the smooth-talking hockey player.

Now Kate must figure out how to rescue Julia from her own crisis and decide whether Logan can be converted into a one-woman man. All without sacrificing her newly found freedom and hard-earned confidence. In the end, Kate and Julia will find that love really is blind.

In the first four books of the RAZORS ICE series you met Ben, Nathan, JD, and Jace, hockey players for the Red Valley Razors. You went along for the ride as they found their true loves in Ally, Sarah, Lauren, and Violet in unexpected places like hockey practice, a hair salon, a wildlife refuge, and a cozy mountain getaway. But the rest of their teammates were left waiting on the bench!

Right winger Logan Murray thinks he’s in store for an ordinary day of appointments and everything else that goes along with being a professional athlete. Then he meets Kate Kapowski, a sexy optometrist who has kicked her controlling ex-husband to the curb and is ready for a change in men as well as in her wardrobe.

Just when they think they’ve figured each other out, a terrifying incident on game day turns everyone’s lives upside down. Logan soon learns that his dream of playing hockey might come to an abrupt end and his relationship with Kate is put to the ultimate test.

I hope you enjoy Blind Ice, the next installment in the RAZORS ICE series. Please look for my next book in the series, coming out in 2016 and be sure to check out Hockey Gods, my action-packed adventure inspired by Game of Thrones and written especially for hockey fans. As always, the best way to stay apprised of everything that’s happening in Red Valley is to sign up for my newsletter.

Best wishes,

Hockey romance? why not. I don't particularly like sports romance but I thought of giving this a try because one of the couples features a blind heroine. Yes, it is that type of romance novel that follows two couples strangely.

TW: controlling ex husband, death of service animal

Curvy optometrist Kate Kapowski has enough of being prim and proper after divorcing her husband, Carl (who puts her down and is very controlling). She meets Logan Murray, the surfer dude hockey player of the Razor's team and they have chemistry.

Her little sister, twenty-two year old Julia is comfortable with her life, she has gotten used to losing her sight and enjoys her phone calls with a developer, Gabe. He has created a software that feels like Siri or Alexa to help those with disabilities or the elderly to live better. She loves music and is trying to compose a sonata.

The writing irked me, it felt of it's time and the whole attracted to someone because they are hot gets tiring after awhile. I felt like the romance between Kate and Logan was very cheesy for the first half. The book which was less than 200 pages dragged for me. Logan annoyed me when he pushed Kaie away after his eye gets injured. Gabe felt forgettable.

I did like the bond between the sisters and how Julia deals with being blind. She has her down moments but she seems to live a fulfilled life. I think it might have work better to just focus on one of the sisters.

I love hockey players

I like how you introduce your readers to both sides of Kate's family however I thought that maybe julie would end up having surgery so she could have partial vision
