I'll admit, I love these super short little novelettes that are highly erotic yet the couple involved share a bond and are simply exploring more in their relationship. These stories are meant to entice, to give you a little taste of eroticism and maybe even spur some fantasies; no matter what they are hot and satisfying and if you need a quick read or perhaps want something to share with your significant other then these stories are perfect to get things rolling.
First Time by Jennifer Lynne 4.5 stars
First Time is the story of a couple married for 15 years and taking time out to celebrate their anniversary by themselves in a cottage; their sex life has become nonexistent lately with the burdens of work, children and life and through couple's counseling they've taken this time to reconnect only they plan on reaching down and letting their true selves come out but Grace has a reason for being nervous and while Henry is patient he knows this is something he needs, no they need and he plans to see it through.
I found this story so interesting as they both have had these needs for years but because of Grace's past, they've put them aside and managed but as they began drifting apart they saw the need to claim what they both want. While not easy for Grace she trusts Henry and together they make the journey to unleash their wants and needs.
I love stories like this where a long time committed couple realize they need to change up their routine and most of all put each other first for a change. As always communication and trust are key and while they had some moments of doubt it was evident that they both wanted more and took the chance and discovered each other all over again.
Sexy yet emotional and touching there really is nothing like the First Time.

As April's wedding date approaches she begins to wonder how she will ever let her fiancée Brendan know that she craves a little bit more than he's been giving her and she worries that what she craves might send him running for the hills. Ever since her friend Beth gave her a book on domestic discipline all April can think about is that she wants Brendan to spank her, to punish her, to demand her obedience and take her and that is so far off from the woman she thought herself to be.
Out at a nightclub with her friends, April isn't surprised when Brendan shows up to drag her home but she is surprised when he says he plans to spank her for going out without him and while part of her wants to be offended by his caveman act another part of her is excited by the notion. And so begins their experimentation with domestic discipline something they both discover they enjoy quite a bit.
I loved that Brendan took the initiative to offer April exactly what she needed but was afraid to ask for even if he did so because he had some inside information. I appreciated April's internal struggle and her worry if it was wrong to like being spanked, but thankfully she had a partner to help her understand there was absolutely nothing wrong with what she wanted and he was more than happy to provide it.

This review is for Jennifer Lynne's story which was a great short read that took about half an hour to read.
The story itself centres around a married with kids couple who are looking to inject a little spark into their romantic lives. This is a kink that they've both held interest in however never divulged their desires to each other nor indulged until now. The story itself swaps between first-person point of view giving us insight from both parties which was interesting—Lynne wrote the male POV well.
The kink itself was presented well. A great continuation of the Not Vanilla series and the many and varied fetishes/kinks inside the BDSM lifestyle.

I was given this book for an unbiased review
This first novella was about a couple who after years of no excitement they decided to go away on a vacation and engage in some spanking and kinkiness. I felt that Grace seemed to nervous throughout the whole book and when a person is agreeing to this the nervousness should go away quickly as there should be a trust. Her past was getting to much in the way
The second novella was about a April and the man she was going to marry and how she wanted to tell him she wanted more in their sex life. In the end she gets what she wants but there is the nervousness she had to tell him.
Overall this wasn't one of my favorite books on BDSM.

This book contains two very different stories about domestic spanking, and they are both hot, sexy and fun to read. Spanking is the third book in this series and it has been a real treat to read.
