Everyone loves Jace Fisher, my inked-up billionaire stepbrother. I’m the only one who can see him for what he really a vulgar, arrogant toolbag with an ego bigger than his bank account. The summer my dad married his mom, things got weird...so weird that I packed my stuff up and left without even saying goodbye. Not because I didn’t want him. Because I was scared of how much I did.And now, Jace is back, and he’s all grown up. While I was working a minimum wage job on the other side of the country, he founded a startup. Made billions of dollars. Put the rest of our family up in luxury condos.Jace wants me to come back home and work for him. It’ll be the job of my dreams, he says. All I have to do is sign his contract. Play his mind games. Give him control. But it’s worth it, right? For the job of my dreams? As long as I don’t do something stupid, like fall for my literal stepbrother, I should be totally fine. So why am I terrified that’s exactly what I’m going to do?
Ex: "Even after taking her cock in my mouth like a champion, Haley’s still acting shy."
♦️HERO: Jace Fisher, 22--CEO of his own real estate company. Extremely arrogant, charming, flirty, manwhore. He's tall, muscular, covered in tattoos with blue eyes, dark hair.
♦️HEROINE: Haley, 22--Recent graduate of SDSU. Currently unemployed. Has big brown eyes, curvy body.
♦️PLOT: After finding a bizarre fantasy contact written for her by her new stepbrother in his room, Haley abruptly flees across the country to attend college. 4 years later, she has been fired from her waitressing job and Jace drags her back home to make her co-CEO of his billion-dollar company if she signs his contract. Always ready to tease and mess with Haley and make her uncomfortable, Jace flirts relentlessly and tries to get her to sign a contract giving him control over what she wears, who she hangs out with, even requiring her to sleep in his bed and ask his permission to touch herself. After a little resistance, she signs it. They begin a sexual relationship and he gets to punish her when she disobeys him. Meanwhile, Jace's awful mother suspects the two are involved and tries to expose them to get Jace's company.
♦️REVIEW: The storyline is kinda odd with the whole contract thing. Several situations are too coincidental/unrealistic. Like, in the 4 years Haley has been away, Jace has become a billionaire right out of high school and had a skyscraper built...that he just gave a blank check to the builders to design and build. Haley's father puts them in a one-bedroom suite that they have to share...in Jace's skyscraper. And the one time in months she is out with a male friends, Jace happens to see her and gets to punish her. Also, how can two people totally grope each other under a table, while negotiating a deal in a business meeting, and no one notice?
Haley is a bit naive and doesn't come off as being very bright sometimes. She signs Jace's contract thinking it would give her power over Jace and that it would throw him off and then she's surprised when that doesn't happen. Haley thinks: "I have to keep reminding myself that this is a way of standing up to Jace, not a way of giving into him." She then wears an insanely skimpy and expensive party dress around town (people stare at her) for few days straight that Jace picked out for her! Why? She didn't have her clothes but she could have gotten others. Jace thinks Haley will be "an excellent businesswoman", but why does he think this? And, she's a grow woman who wears a t-shirt with an elephant on the front of it.
There were some very sweet parts at the end. Jace values their relationship more than his company and doesn't want to hide it any longer.
♦️STEAM: Hot 4/5 - explicit sex, spanking
♦️ENDING: HEA, Epilogue - 2 years later, No cliffhanger.
I should probably just stop reading these stepbrother books. First - I don't know why this one is called "INK" -- so what, the guy has tattoos but they're hardly part of the story. I think this book maybe had potential to be decent. The contract idea was kind of different. Well, not in the grand scheme of FSG contracts, but new in a step-sibling context. But, even with a dual POV, I didn't really understand their connection. It seemed like lust and, other than possessiveness, there was never any emotional connection there. The mother/step-mother character was a bit ridiculous.
The characters keep harping on about how they're stepsiblings but the met when they were both of age so there's not much thats taboo about this. so what that your parents are married? you met as adults and have spent almost no time together. Also, there were too many coincidental situations to be at all plausible. The h whines and complains almost constantly so I didn't see what the H saw in her.
Cute couple, wit great chemistry... liked the contract from both sides. Sex was hot but a lil rough. A pretty protective possessive stepbrother but a HEA in the end. A good read...
By signing this contract, I,___________, agree to abide by the following rules regarding my ex-stepsister, Haley Russell. *I will protect her, take care of her, and keep her safe. *I will make her laugh and wipe her tears away when she cries. *I will be the best friend, partner, and lover that anybody’s ever had. *I will tell everyone I know how lucky I am to have met her. *I will always love her. *I will make her happy for the rest of our lives.
For a stepbrother romance this is one of the best I read.... I love the love and chemistry between the two.... You can tell in the beginning how much he cared for her, the things he did, or said.... I love that there wasn't any drama between the two of them, it was them against other people, which made it an even better read.... I really enjoyed this book....
This was actual trash. Horrible storyline...horrible, undeveloped characters...weird AF setting situations... and just overly horribly written. Typos everywhere... no sense of how much time had passed... this was seriously garbage. I want money back (it was $1) because I wasted two hours of my life reading it. Someone pay me!!! lol
I really did not think this book would turn out to be as good as it was. Haley really was rather irritating. She made the book seem rather juvenile. However, it was an easy, quick read. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it.
I loved reading about Jace and Haley. Sometimes I was getting a whole 50 shades vibe from it. The story does need proof read.though as there's several errors I saw while reading. I'll be buying this one and reading more from this author.
Good concept, but honestly I felt the whole oh I signed the contract so now I have to thing was so farfetched it made my eyes roll. The story got a little boring after midway.
Jace reminds me a bit of a golden retriever puppy. So it is hard to imagine he is some sort of business genius. And Haley just seems like a girl who is just along for the ride.
If I could I would give this book a 10 out of 10 star rating but since that is not possible I will have to give it a 5 out of 5 star rating. This book made me smile and laugh throughout the entire thing. The male main character Jace is cocky and arrogant in a way that is different than all the other guys in books I have read are like and for once it doesn't annoy me at all. Jace has been in love with Haley the female main character since they met at 18 years old when their parents got married and he hasn't stopped liking her in the four years they were apart. Jace is one of the first men to love a girl in all the books I have read. Last but not least Jace can be very cocky and arrogant as I mentioned before but can also be sweet and caring at the sametime or sometimes. If you like, stepsiblings falling in love, dominating male main characters and lots of great sex then you will love this book.
Gack, sub-par. The motives in the story fall way short. Example - the reasoning behind her signing the contract made absolutely no sense. His mother's behavior and their initial reactions to it don't either. The characters were inconsistent. Both are apparently the same age yet she acts like like an immature teenager, though she's supposedly the responsible one. He behaves older though he is the irresponsible one. It's clear by the writing this was not by design. Finally, there were a lot of grammatical mistakes and editorial blunders. All in all a disappointing read.
Hot from the beginning to end! I love me a good alpha with a filthy mouth and added to that..some ink! Jace is a complete alpha and doesn't take shit from anyone who Gets in his way and that's my favorite kind of alpha. As the book goes on and on I can't help but fall for jace too! The ending is a great way to leave these two!
Well if it was an ok read, but nothing to write home about. Lot's of sexy time but not much going on story wise. The whole thing could of been expanded on. The step mum plot was a little flat as was the whole business adventure side of it. So for a quick really simple read, it's perfect.
Awesome step brother read super steamy tons of angst and denial about their feelings but one contract changes it all in this must read stepbrother romance you will fall in love with Jace and Haley
A good girl, tormented by her hot stepbrother, that is until she sees the contract. Fast forward 4 years and this girl is not quite so sweet. And the contract, well let's just say its info stuck with her.
At first I wasn't sure I would like this book because Michalea Scott is a new author to me but I decided to give it a real chance and I am so very happy I did! She has you going up and down and back and forth so many times you want to know what happens next.
