Ami LeCoeur has once again brought me to tears dazzling me with her stories and healing me with a love and passion so real that I feel it as I turn each page.
The brilliant mind of Ami LeCoeur has once again brought us to the world of Maria and Thompson who we saw glimpses of in High Stakes Seduction and I must say I am so incredibly glad that these two have gotten their own series and I am thrilled that Ami LeCoeur and Elle Dawson are collaborating and working together on it because if this first novella is any indication we are in for one hell of a ride and let me just say its going to be emotional and heart breaking and suspenseful for sure and I for one can't wait! Maria and Thompson have this incredible connection that you just can't seem to find anywhere it is raw and honest and magnetic and the two of them are so great together and they get into some hot and steamy action together in this book, but they also have some amazingly tender moments in this book as well. There are also some characters in this book that you are going to hate, reasons will be revealed as to why when you read it but let me just say Thompson has had it rough from the beginning and Maria just seems to soothe him and help to calm his inner beast.
This story honestly touched me on so many levels is incredibly emotional and brought me to tears so many times it does hold a special place in my heart for personal reasons and I will leave it at that but I will say that this story is worth the download and you should definitely add it to your TBR list today!

Wow! Ami has kept this ride going! This is a very great start to the series and gives you the base for another awesome book.
In this we learn about the real Thompson and his past and all that makes him the way he is. We are introduced to his daughters mother, Rachel and learn about their relationship too. I think this defines him along with his past in Afghanistan and his PTSD. As Thompson and Maria's relationship begins to develope they learn so much about each other and makes you want them to get it all. They have both had their struggles but that does not define them. They are happy with their lives and are looking to their future.
Maria is creative ,fun and so caring. Since losing the use of her legs she keeps moving fiorward She continues work with Emily on their books and develope a bond that has Emily opening up about things. She is determined to look out for her in every aspect. She also learns more about the surgery she may have which adds to all the things moving so fast in her life. Thompson and Maria are getting closer but obstacles are becoming more prevalent . I hope their love can with stand anything that is coming their way.
I'm so excited for the next book as this collaboration is very good and I cannot wait to see what will happen.

Finally my favorite couple. Antonio and Angela from the previous series were just not my thing but I kept reading for Thompson and Maria. We know that man is strong as an ox physically, but emotionally he's even stronger. We learn about his past military life and his flashbacks. His daughter Emily plays a large part in this series as she struggles with her homelife with Rachel, mom. Maria is gaining her independence with each day between her book endeavor and the experimental surgery she has a bright future. This couple just radiates with love for each other and others as we see Thompson help during an accident. Should be a great series! My copy was given for my honest review.

Its been a while since we have heard from Ami Lecoeur, but after reading book one in Maria and Thompson's story, I have to say that she has come back with a bang and brought us one amazing read.
The plot in this book is very well written and well thought out and the plot is very fast paced. Since the author introduced us to the budding relationship between Thompson and Maria in her first book series I have wanted their story, the sparks between them are so genuine which makes them easy to fall in love with and hurt for right along with them.
In this book we see the relationship between Maria and Thompson really begin to bloom and every time that we think they will finally take the next step, something comes up and the mood is ruined. I cannot wait for the epic moment when these two finally take the plunge. In this book we also see more into Thompson's past and what he has been through in his life, and every time something is revealed he is afraid that Maria will not want to be with him, and each time she surprises him by taking him in her arms and showing him regardless of what she has learned. In this book we also see more steps taken for Maria's surgery to try and fix her legs so she can walk again.
This book is filled with love and tenderness and the beginnings of a beautiful relationship and after the ending I cannot wait to read book two. Thank you Ami for an amazing read.

Wow, just wow. This book has everything, a heroes, heroine, hot guy, strong woman, friendship, compassion, suspense, intrigue, the bitch, love and more. Damn, I can't wait for the next book, if this one is the first one I can't imagine what the next one will bring. Like always, Ami did a great job keeping me glue to the story. Love that is in Maria and Thomson's point of view. And that ending! Wow, no ashamed to say that I cried. I was so into it and Boom!!! it was over, ahh I hate waiting ,. Well I guess start the book is in order :) This book / series is a must read.. Happy readings!

Wow now that was good. several times I caught my self with my hand over my mouth and then wanting to scream a bad word because of how stupid people can be. Here is this man that served our country and then be abused because of action out of his control . then there the other character that lost her use of her legs showing more back bone and heart I can't wait to read more of this story .Great writing .thank for letting me read this for you.

I absolutely love reading about Thompson & Maria. The struggles they both are going through with their past, can they heal together? We learn more about Thompson past and him being in the military and the suffering he is still going through with his flash backs. I can't wait until someone puts Rachel into her place. She is driving me insane lol. With not thinking Thom is worthy of love will be let Maria go? And the end all I gotta say is I NEED book 2 asap. Another amazing story by Ami

Thompson and Maria are meant to be together. Although he's Antonio's driver, ex soldier, and a divorced daddy, Thom is becoming a close friend of Miss Maria's. His past PTSD has him questioning his future yet he finds comfort and strength while in Maria's company. Will he bring happiness to Maria's door or cause he more pain? Will his ex cause trouble for his little girl? Maria is desperate to walk, live life and be happy. Is there room in her heart for Thompson? Healed by Love is tender and beautiful. Ami LeCoeur and Elle Dawson created an enchanting story and I can't wait for more.

OMG! I was so excited when I started to read this and realized it was going to be Thompson and Maria's story!!! I have been dying for this series to come out and now it's here eep!!!! In this first installment you get to know and understand the more personal side of Thompson and more about his little girl. You also get to meet Thompson's ex-wife (who h could think of a few names for her, none of which are nice). I know I am going to love this series!!!

I loved Ami's High Stakes Seduction series and was excited to hear that Maria and Thompson would be highlighted next. The story is so beautiful... achingly so. Tragic and triumphant. Sexy and serious. The layers of emotion were a pleasure to read.

A good book to read on a lonely night!

Maria may be in a wheelchair but you’d never know. She a woman in love and would do anything for him. Thompson isn’t just any guy, his employer is Maria’s sister Angela’s boyfriend Antonio. This is both a good and bad thing for the couple. On top of that there are secrets that are trying to come out. Will the obstacles that face this young couple tear them apart or bring them together?

We meet both Maria and Thompson in the High Stakes Series and got to know them a little. I know I was rooting for them to get together but there was a story behind each of them. Maria is a sweet, fun-loving woman who doesn’t let the fact she is in a wheelchair stop her from living life. The woman has tenacity, especially when it comes to Thompson. He is the strong silent type who doesn’t let a lot of people in but when he does, he protects them with everything he has.
As I started their story I was excited that they got their own book. There was just so much we didn’t get from the High Stakes Series that I wanted, but fell in love with the characters during the series. The three would make a perfect family but there are stories that need to be told and secrets that are kept and need to come out. Just when you think you know what’s coming next for them a twist is thrown and you’re left wanting to know what’s going to happen next. This book is left with one big cliff hanger that leaves you wondering what the heck just happened. The writing collaboration between Ami and Elle was great and I look forward to what lies ahead in the next book.

Tears, what is it with books reducing me to a blubbering mess!
I haven’t read the High Stakes Seduction series although I am now the proud owner of each and every book – always a big mistake picking up a follow on spin off series – it gets expensive but they are safely tucked away on my kindle for my next vacant weekend when I have a marathon reading session.
This book gave me characters that although they are in the previous series, I had no trouble at all relating too.
This is Maria and Thompson and their story is …wow!
They are an emotionally raw couple, in saying that I mean they will leave an impression on your heart with the depth of feeling that they portray.
They have a connection that is almost too powerful to put into words. They were so good together that they presented the kind of relationship that if you are lucky to find you damn well hang on to and they were determined to hold on to each other through thick and thin.
This is not to say the path they are on is easy, it is far from it they both have substantial obstacles to overcome
They brought out the hopeless romantic in me and I even though Thompson has been through more than any man should ever have to experience, I felt he was comforted by the fact that with Maria he had a balm, a voice of reason, someone that took his pain and shared it with him and gave him reason to believe that the demons he carried within him would never win.
She gave him peace.
Maria was an incredibly beautiful woman both inside and out and I must say one of the most genuinely enigmatic characters I have read for a long time. I adored her
This was a brilliant start to what I fully anticipate to be a heart wrenching series – and the next book can’t come quickly enough.

Sweet and sexy…
If you are a reader of the High Stakes Seduction series than the main characters of this new series will be old friends. Thompson is Maria’s chauffeur but their friendly interactions are going to become so much more as they both open up to each other.
On the surface, they seem an unlikely pairing. Thompson appears stoic but is hiding a world of hurt, frustration as well as lingering, horrifying, memories of his time as a soldier. Maria is the epitome of a girl next door, who just happens to also be in a wheelchair. She doesn’t want pity, or special favours, but she can’t help but be apprehensive of what her future will, or won’t, hold.
“But the pain… pain is universal and whether your legs are broken or it’s the place in your mind that no longer trusts… it can slice deep, take out a piece of you you’ll never get back.”
The two of them together just seem to gel. Maria is calm and matter-of-fact when Thompson desperately needs someone to be as his world is so out of control on many fronts. They seem to complement each other as they each bring their strengths, and vulnerabilities, to their changing relationship.
There are scenes that made me smile and situations that truly had me wanting to throat-punch as the good and bad in people is more that eloquently portrayed here. Ending on a “heart in your throat” cliffhanger I can’t wait to find out what happens next in their journey!

As their journey begins Thom and Maria come to learn so much about one another. Safety within the arms of one but the security of the heart may be just what the doctor ordered. The saying goes that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” for this couple this is surely to be true. Beauty comes from within each of us. We are not born with it but have a sense of beauty that can reach the one true heart that binds together in perfect sync.
The author does a wondrous job in creating this read. The sensuality of the hardships that take place is heartwarming, cry worthy and frustrating at the same time. Taking two characters with struggles going on within their own along with Thompson’s daughter (Emily) thrown into the mix with her own struggles is just amazing. A must read for all. I for one cannot wait to find out what happens in the next book for this author will just leave you in wanting.

As a disabled person I was immediately drawn to the premise of this story as Maria is one of those wonderful and unique characters you can't help but be drawn to. She's sweet but strong-willed and protective of those she loves. Thompson's a man haunted by his past with his time in Afghanistan and having PTSD weighing heavily on him. Though there is some brightness in his life courtesy of his daughter and Maria, there are moments where the darkness overtakes him and he wonders how much longer Maria will support him. Seeing these two characters in a previous book left me wanting more and in this series starter they definitely get put through the wringer. Just when it looks like they might be getting closer fate intervenes to keep them apart in a storyline full of suspense, grief, and forgiveness. Thompson and Maria may seem to be opposites but their connection runs deep and they ultimately balance each other out. Their connection is heartfelt and non-judgemental with sensual interludes sprinkled throughout the story. From start to finish this was a decadently delightful read with an admirable heroine and heartbreaking hero who wears his heart on his sleeve. Together they're a formidable match as they support each other unconditionally. Their burgeoning relationship is wonderful to see but their HEA isn't yet guaranteed as numerous events leave their ending in jeopardy and me excited for the next installment.

Thompson wants to spend the week with his daughter but her mother changed her mind unless he pays her more. When he pays for their condo, her phone and car. He doesn't want to pay her more. Thompson goes to see Maria's house and he decided that he was going to dance with Maria. He also thinks that Maria deserved someone better than himself. Thompson always has flashbacks from when he was in war, Maria let Thompson talk about his flashbacks.
Thompson lives in a one bedroom apartment willingly to pay for Emily's care and private schooling. Very protective of Emily and Maria. Grew up in foster homes. He joined the military when he was 18. He lost his best friend in war. He was in foster care. He works for Antonio. Maria is in a wheelchair, she hates being called Miss Maria. She used to be a gymnast and she used to dance. She is a lucrative and sustaining artistic endeavor with her paintings. Angela is Maria's sister, Antonio's girlfriend. Very protective of Maria. Antonio is Angela's boss, Angela's boyfriend, he is very rich and enigmatic. He got Maria a showing at a gallery
This is my first book by Ami LeCoeur and Elle Dawson and it most definitely will not be my last. I look forward to reading more books by Ami and Elle. This book is very well written and the characters were very well developed. I couldn't help but feel connected to the characters.

I was supper excited when I heard that Maria and Thompson’s story was going to be written. I was dying to know what was going to happen to them at the end of High Stakes Seduction. I thoroughly enjoyed the High Stakes Seduction series and thought that waiting for Healed by Love to be completed was the hardest thing ever… I was wrong, waiting for the story to continue with the next book will definitely be harder. I this story we learn that there is even more layers to Thompson and his past than what was hinted at in High Stakes Seduction. I loved this story so much that I didn’t mind the punch to the gut cliffhanger at the end; I’m on pins and needles waiting for book 2 to come out.

I fell in love with Maria & Thompson in Ami's High Stakes Seduction series. They were just so cute together even though they weren't together. Thompson was pretty much just a driver & bodyguard type for Angela & her sister Maria by order of Antonio. Yet there was always something about Thompson when he was with Maria and about Maria when she was with Thompson!! Healed by Love gives us more of a backstory on Thompson, his life in the military, we get more of Emily, his daughter....and we get to see just how strong Maria actually is. Such a beautiful love story unfolding. Alot of emotion!! Excited for Book 2!!

The continuation to the series high stakes seduction called healed byblove has us getting to know Maria and Thompson better. We saw the chemistry start in high stakes seduction but will Maria's and Thompson pasts along with Thompsons ex wife cause a problem for them even before their relationship can get started. The chemical and physical attraction is undeniable. But when things start heating up something terribly wrong will Maria and Thompson make it through this trial. I can't wait for the continuation of healed byblove.

Wonderful start to the series! This book has ia all a hot guy, strong woman, friendship, compassion, suspense, intrigue, someone who causes drama in the building relaionship, and love. What more could you want? Seeing as how this is book 1 I am so excited to read what is coming next. This is one of those books that you cannot say too much without giving the book away.

Thompson is a vet who suffers from PTSD. He also suffers from an ex-wife who uses this as leverage against him to get everything she wants. She has no problem using their daughter as a pawn piece. Thompson is just starting a relationship with Maria who is paralyzed from the waist down. Is Maria strong enough to accept Thompson and his heavy load of baggage? Can Thompson accept Maria as she is, or will their relationship crumble under the weight of it all?

ARC REVIEW: Move over Angela and Antonio!! don't get me wrong I love them too!! but I'm beyond words of Maria's and Thompson's chemistry in Healed by Love! there's so much more to them in this book that you miss in high stakes seduction...Ami did a fenaminal job at letting us get to know these characters and what each one is capable of...God knows what these two can be like together..I will be sitting at the edge impatiently waiting until part 2 comes out....good job Ami!

Ami LeCoeur has done it again. After having read the High Stakes Seduction series, I was thrilled to find out there was going to be a series about Maria and Thompson. This was an amazing start to this series. I wasn't able to put my tablet down. There was such an emotional impact in the book. I was laughing and crying right along with them.The tragedy that has struck both of them is astronomical. I can't wait to see how this story develops.

This book was so good I couldn't put it down. What a wonderful follow up to High Stakes! It was exciting to see love bloom between Maria and Thom! I never would have guessed Thompson's back story. What a wonderful father! I can't wait to see what Amy has in store! And of course there's a cliffhanger leaving you begging for more!!! Great job Ami!!!

Yay, it's Thompson and Maria! I loved them in the High Stakes Seduction. They both need each other. I'm so exited for this series and to see where their story leads them. Fantastic start. Cliffhanger alert.
