Separated by college, careers, and hidden desires; Cooper, Ryan and Ansley’s unbreakable friendship has been tested. For the past four years, Ryan has been ridin’ his way to the top, Ansley has been ridin’ away from the past and toward a bright new future, and Cooper has been ridin’ his way through women, trying to get over the one that is in his heart. When Cooper signs a two year deal, the two best friends find themselves racing bar to bar against each other, but agree it’s a dream come true to be riding together again. When Ansley lands an unexpected job, it brings her to California as well. Knowing she’s avoided her childhood best friends long enough, it’s now time to get over the past and move forward. When two out of the three friend’s goals are the same, will it still be a smooth ride or will they start… Ridin’ Dirty.
I enjoyed reading this book but Cooper really needs to step up his game with Ansley. Throughout the entire book, this Author goes into detail between Ansley, Cooper and Ryan. Their friendship tends to be strained because Cooper assumed something was amiss between Ansley and Ryan, but I honestly think it's his fear of commitment that made him feel that way. The ending caught me off guard. I thought it was be great since Cooper's parents finally showed their support. (ARC)
I enjoyed this book more than the first one. But there were still some times where what I thought would be big plot moments (i.e. when she finally sees Cooper for the first time) ended up lacking depth and moved past too quickly. Cooper was less of a playboy but his player ways still left me unable to fall for him. And I didn’t agree with how Ansley reacted a few times. Their lack of communication seemed drawn out and got on my nerves after a while.
While the first book started slow, this one definitely had more of a story and a definite slow burn vibe. Ansley and Cooper have crazy sparks when they are in the same, yet neither can get their acts together. Between the racing and the characters this is one series that is turning into a binge session because I need to know it all ends.
[1.25 stars] did not like this book, i think cooper is like the biggest douchebag on earth the way he sleeps through women. and ansley is a little spineless which i dont like either. thinking whether to continue the series or not.
Paige Steele has done it again. She's given the reader insight into the life of a motocross rider while also showing us how friendships evolve over time when life gets in the way. Paige teases us with brief flickers of hope while always finding a way for twists, turns and jumps. Things aren't always as they seem - Cooper seems to constantly misinterpret situations without clarifying with his friends. Follow Cooper Brewis & Ryan Evans as they live their lives full throttle ahead both on the track and off. Will Cooper find what he's looking for on the track or will he risk losing it all by only living for the track? Can friendship turn to love or will they crash and burn and lose it all? Did distance make the heart grow fonder or did it create a wedge that can't be removed? Lack of communication and issues of trust or lack thereof are evident throughout this tale. The development and creation of the supporting characters sets Paige Steele up perfectly to continue their stories in future releases as well. She gives just enough detail into Kenna & Ryan and Maddie & Jesse stories that I'm wanting more. While I'm begging for a resolution to the nonexistent relationship of Cooper and Ansley I end up feeling greedy and wanting - no needing, yes even craving - more of everyone!
I was pulled right into this short story. The story has laughs, betrayal, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Dirty Friends (Beautifully Dirty #1)
Cooper and Ryan are still best friends but Ansley was pulling away from them both. Now they all live near each other but will that make everything more difficult? With Cooper and Ansley trying to fight the attraction will that put pressure on the friendship? When Cooper lands his dream job racing against his best friend Ryan will it be enough for him? What about Ansley does she enjoy her job even if it’s not the one she wanted? Will Cooper be able to stop all the misunderstanding and finally claim the girl he loves or is it all over for them both? Will Ryan have to pick between his two best friends? Or will one thing lead to another and everything crash out of control?
I loved these three characters. You get to meet Ansley’s friends and it looks like some more relationship just might come out of these friendships. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story in this series.
Ok I was left wanting more in the first book in this Beautifully Dirty Series, but I'm left wanting so much more. Omg these characters are awesome, the writing is awesome, the story itself is awesome. It's always been Ryan,Cooper and Ansley against the world even if they are miles apart, but before long it may be them against each other. Cooper can't forget the night him and Ansley kissed, hell he can't forget her but when jobs bring them all together again will admit his feelings. Ansley hasn't really talked to Cooper since that night, she keeps telling herself that to Cooper it was nothing cause he's all about sex. We they do give it go there are miscommunication and what one think is going on isn't. Will they ever be the same or is it to late. Omg I must have more now, right now.
After reading the first one, I wasn't sure about this one, but the cover (the guy on the cover) drew me in. I just didn't buy that one kiss could mean so much to the 2 people in volved and yet, they went 4 years!!! and didn't mention it. It made for some good angst, kinda, but not believable to me. Then he walks in to a party and sees her and acts kind of sleezy, but she falls for it, because ... after 4 years, still hung up on that kiss. It kind of reads like a police report, but in the end, I DID buy this and read it, the 2nd in the series. Overall, the story is good. I like the characters, pretty much, and in spite of my small issues with it, I WANT to read the next one. I can recommend this one, but remember the few and relatively insignificant issues I have with it.
wow! this book just sucked me right in from page one I didn't want it to end it left me wanting more and more!
Cooper, and Ansley have this connection it's undeniable and I want them to explore and be togather they know they want to then throw Ryan in the mix let's just say friendships will be tested and that ending what A cliffy I am dying to see what happens next!
I really enjoyed how Paige, keeps you guessing you never know what's gonna happen I enjoyed the secondary characters they were well written this is A must read!
Holy cliffhanger batman argghhhh I need the next book like now this book drive me nuts Ainsley and Cooper had me throwing my kindle down in disgust sometimes they can be so stupid not getting it together and cooper omg keep you thing in your pants please don't know what's u between kenna and Ryan something I'm sure ok well please write the next book ASAP lol
I absolutely love this series. You don't have to be fluent in motocross to enjoy these books, thank god. I love the the relationships between the characters but I hate being left dangling by a thread like Ms. Steele likes to do. Lol. I will try to wait patiently for book 3 but I can't say that I won't "bug" her to write faster.
Ridin' Dirty was much better book imo. I love the chemistry that Cooper, Ansley, and Ryan still have in this book. It will have you laughing and wanting to throttle Cooper at times. I love him but, he is so dang selfish sometimes especially when it comes to Ansley. I am still rooting for them though. Lastly, the ending is going to leave you wanting the next book like right now!!!
Once again, Ansley and Cooper are being stubborn and not talking! I can't take this torture LOL! As you can see, I am very much enjoying this series and learning a lot about motocrossing. That Cooper is very sexy though. And Ryan....he's a good one too. Hot men with their pants unzipped half the time and no shirt. Bring it!
Damn what a cliff hanger! I love this series can't wait for book 3, hope it doesn't take long for it to get released. I with Ansley and Cooper would get there shit together already.
Ok Kenna,Ryan,Cooper and Ansley need to get their act together. It's pissing me off. Of course an accident had to happen. I'm glade Coop's parents showed up it was sooo touching.
Love love loved this story, can't get enough of Cooper & Ansley. Was hooked on them and Ryan too from the first chapter in the first book. Don't ever want this series to end.
** 3.5 Stars!! I am very much caught between an 3 and 4 for this book. I am loving the story line and the characters. The story of Ansley, Cooper, and Ryan has completely drawn me and I am enjoying how they are growing with their moto careers. Here's my reasons for the why I am teetering on a 3- I often feel like the story is just skipping through parts of their lives quickly and not giving me the details of their lives I would like to know. That I am being told the story not shown the story. And I am now through 2 books and 5 years and I am still still waiting...
