I was fortunate enough to read a beta copy of this, Alice Nuttall's second full-length novel, and I have to say what an utter joy it was from start to end. Not since Joanne Harris' Runemarks series of books has Norse mythology come to life so vividly and excitingly on the page.

Loki has got to be everyone's favourite Norse God; mischievous and deceitful - but this is a story not foremostly about him/her (yes, some wonderful gender abiguous moments in this book) but of his wife, Sigyn and how she will presumably become his wife.

It's a delicious story that is clearly setting itself for a sequal.
