Lots of examples for Playdancing activities that can spark new ideas for teachers. As a student of Dalcroze Eurythmics and music therapy, this had many ideas for exploring body awareness with children (categorised into 3-5 and 6-8 age groups). There was not a lot of description of what Playdancing is as a programme and how it is actually facilitated structually (training and lesson planning, etc.). This book focused more on the concept with its foundations in developmental theory. A readable text mostly beneficial to teachers of young children, there is an implicit posture towards inclusive, child-centred learning, although the writing mostly centres around typically developing children. Bringing this into a modern context with understanding of neuroscience and neurodiversity would make this text more relevant today.
