This little book is jammed packed with wisdom. I had heard a lot of this advice before but it really sunk in while reading this book. I was highlighting helpful passages and I ended up highlighting almost the whole book! From this book I learned not only the basics of mindfulness but also that it is a practice that I can continue to develop and use. It has been helping me in a lot of different areas: grieving over a pregnancy loss, eating better, exercising, connecting with others, etc.

I didn't give this book 4 stars because it is poorly edited and has quite a few typos, misspellings, and grammatical errors. I think that with editing this book would be amazing.

I plan to re-read it in the future and go back to it when needed. I recommend it to anyone wishing to learn more about mindfulness.

Skills like multitasking are glorified in today's corporate-run world. But they lead to stress and anxiety, so much so that psychiatrists claim that depression is soon going to be an epidemic.

This booklet gives a very interesting take on this skill- it gives you a better way to become both efficient in performing your responsibilities or meeting deadlines and also taking care of yourself at the same time.

Charnita uses terminology as *budget-mindspace* to explain in very simple terms the habits that are detrimental to our well-being. She makes one aware of activities that could be sapping one of valuable energy and gives healthy alternatives instead.

Like a wise friend, this book guides you through simple and easy-to-understand activities which can be incorporated in one's lifestyle to become better at handling stress.

Given its simplicity, it is ideal for all ages- for students handling exam tension to professionals being chased by deadlines. It makes one realize that there is a way to function stress-free.

While the book is structured on the concept of mindfulness, it is a healthy mind-treat that provides solutions for a lot of problems that stop us from experiencing joy.

The book is short and to the point on mindfulness. I usually like short books. I have read book on Presence from Eckhart Tolle - "Practicing the Power of Now", which helped me changed as a person. This books is a reminder of why mindfulness is important to balance all areas of our life. What touched me more in this book was Essentials mendifulness reminders on Being and some of the 8 anchors of mindfulness. I have met Charnita at NVC IIT, Bangalore this year, and I found her living her life mindfully. I truly believe this book has come from her heart, as she radiated that calmness during our interaction. She is walking her talk. I recommend this booklet to all those seeking self-transformation.
