Rate this book
*This is the final installment of a three-part serial and a larger, nine-part series. Books are not stand alone, and are better read in order.
Lola Taylor made a huge mistake when she tried to convince the love of her life to reconcile with his mother, and it nearly cost her everything. Now, though, Reid himself is considering letting Sherri McDaniels back into his life on his own terms. But has Sherri truly changed her ways, or is Reid setting himself up for heartache?

Christine Bell is a romance author and also writes erotic romance as Chloe Cole. She and her handsome hubby currently reside in Pennsylvania with a four-pack of teenage boys. If she gets time off from her duties as maid, chef, chauffeur, or therapist, she can be found reading just about anything she can get her hands on, from Young Adult novels to books on poker theory. She doesn’t like root beer, clowns or bugs (except ladybugs, on account of their cute outfits), but lurrves chocolate, going to the movies, the New York Giants and playing Texas Hold ‘Em. Writing is her passion, but if she had to pick another occupation, she would be a pirate…or, like, a ninja maybe. She loves writing steamy romance stories, but also hopes to one day publish something her dad can read without wanting to dig his eyes out with a rusty spoon. Loved this book and the series overall.

This is the last one of Reid and Lola and boy it had ups and downs. The story mostly centered around Reid and his mother Sherri, and how that relationship affected Reid and Lola.

Let me tell you, I never believed that woman, but what this book showed… wow, that woman. I don’t want to say too much, but even with everything, I was glad that it helped Reid finally close that chapter of his life. He was the youngest of the three, so he remembered things differently than his older brothers (still bad, though), and he also had a beautiful heart. So yeah, now he could move on.

This was the last of Reid and Lola’s story, but also the last of the McDaniels’ adventures. I was glad things turned out great for them with great women by their sides, they sooo deserved it after their awful pasts.

Great series and I wouldn’t mind reading more of these guys in the future. :-)

This story is full of pain, love, family loyalty, betrayal and just about every other emotion you can imagine. Yet Ms Bell doesn't let the reader wallow. Just when you think it is just too much for our wonderful couple and family, she sneaks in a scene so sweet, so cute you just have to smile and let out a big sigh. Then you are all ready to get through the moments when a HEA or even the brothers' relationship seems almost out of reach.

Reid is shocked by the entrance of his mother on the scene. Lola didn't know one of her co-waitresses was his mother. She has reformed, is dying and just wants to make amends. Reid doesn't believe her, but Lola has convinced him, for his own sake, he needs to at least see her. The story is filled with flashbacks of a cruel childhood, the three sons coming together to make a family, and finding a woman to make it all worthwhile.

With all the tests this family and this couple has been through, will the woman who ultimately made them strong to survive her, tear them apart?

This story is a wonderful conclusion the the love story and brother's lives and a hearty recommend from me.

I was provided and ARC for an honest review.

This last book was all over the place (but in a good way). I honestly could not stop reading because I really didn't know how things would have turned out. I was so immersed in this McDaniels family and their situation that I could not put the book down until there was closure. Lola and Reid's story was great. Just like the first two. After devouring all 9 books, this review is for the series as a whole. It was an absolute sweet treat. A quick read for anyone romance book lover who needs a "quick fix". The McDaniels are what I describe to be an ice cream sundae. Bash and Liv are the ice cream since they are where it all started, Matty and Kayla are the sprinkles, and or fudge which ever you prefer because they are the extra "umph" we all like in our sundaes, and Reid and Lola were the cherry on top. Such a simple garnish but it's what makes it perfect (Damn, now I wan't ice cream). I recommend this series to fans of Jamie McGuire's Maddox Brother series. I being a huge fan fell instantly in love with this one because of the similar themes and how easy it is to fall in love with each of them. Kuddos to Ms. Bell on her work! Consider me a new fan to her work.

Sweet ending to an amazing series!

I love the McDaniels brothers and enjoyed watching each of them fight for their HEA. This book was about Reid and Lola but I feel like something was missing being I got nothing from Bash about Sherry. We know Matty is okay, but we got nothing on Bash and the Sherry thing was a big deal for all of them. Maybe we can get a happy holiday novella on the boys showing their beautiful families, please!!!

I was very happy to finally read the conclusion to Lola and Reid's story. I was happy that Lola and Reid's love for each other was strong to withstand the trials presented by Sherri McDaniels (whom I hated).

I was very happy that all the brothers were able to move on from their childhood and find closure in their lives and stop feeling the anger.

Overall I thought this was a good conclusion to the series although I would have liked more thorough epilogue.

Finally

I had been waiting forever for Book 3 to come out. What a delightful surprise when I checked my email and saw Christine's email informing me the book was just released. Read it immediately. Wanted to crawl through my kindle and kick What's butt.

Soooo good

Absolutely love the McDaniels stories. This couldn't have ended any better. I read the 8 books back to back within a week's time and could hardly wait for this 9th and final book. Loved every second!
