I loved it! I'm crying it was so beautiful!! I can't begin to describe how much I loved Ivy! These books were amazing and I loved reading how strong and great Ivy grew to be throughout The Siren series! I loved Star-crossed and now The Siren is added to my collection of all time favorites. Rachel Higginson did't disappoint me then and she certainly didn't now!!

This was a fantastic conclusion to the trilogy. Starting out with Ivy’s return & seeing how Ryder reacts to her was incredible. I really enjoyed the tension between them & the development of their relationship. The rest of the book was action-packed; battles, murder, plots, twist, turns & it was non-stop.

I really enjoyed how dark this series was & I although I have no personal experience with abuse I feel like the author found a way to write about this without pulling punches but also was sensitive & honest about the lasting scars & recovery. It was really moving.

I highly recommend this trilogy & the author’s Star-Crossed series. She’s has a real talent in writing in a way that puts you in the characters place, making you feel everything.

4.5 stars -- Fantastic finale to this series!!! Quite honestly, I'm going to have to read this one again, b/c I read it during the Nightmare Travel Tragedy of 2015, and I just don't think my tired brain did it justice.

This book was JAM PACKED with action and adventure, redemption, and of course beautiful love. I LOVED the horrifically selfish and hedonistic portrayal of the gods and goddesses... I am not actually that well versed in mythology of any kind, but I could totally see them behaving in this manner. While Nix has always been the big bad of this series (and in my opinion, one of the worst villains I've ever read), this book showed that he was just one of many who looked at Ivy's power and saw world domination and unlimited power. I kind of liked that. It prevented them from mounting any kind of real opposing front to the mountain, since they were all really out for themselves in some way.

ALL of the evil that you've hated throughout this series gets their just rewards...it's sooooo satisfying. I think I'm going to have a hard time writing this review without having to spoiler the whole thing.

Ivy is an intriguing heroine. She's unlike many of the heroines I love to read, and sometimes I feel conflicted in that way. B/C part of me really appreciates that she's not as strong and obviously badass as say Eden and Stella...it makes her unique and in some ways more relatable. On the other hand, I spent some of my reading time wanting to smack her for not using her resources where she could, and not automatically seeing the things that I, as a reader, could see so well. So I guess I will always remain on the fence with her. But even so, I LOVED how she grew even just in this book.

And while there was still a *tiny* bit of wishy-washiness wrt her relationship with Ryder, it really didn't last too long and then they were complementing each other throughout the rest of the book.

I almost had moments where I missed some of the secondary characters that I'd grown to love, but Ms. Higginson manages to fit them in there perfectly so that you get enough to satisfy you.

The ending was PERFECTION. Seriously. Not just the climax, but the resolution. I won't say more, obviously, but I was soooo ridiculously satisfied with the way everything turned out, and I LOVED the bit of epilogueness we got in the last chapter. It was the perfect amount to allow me to breath and enjoy after so much build up.

Definitely my fave book in the series. It just had everything I wanted. I can't wait to read it again when I'm rested and can really enjoy it and soak it in.

The Heart is the third and final book of Rachel Higginson's Siren series and oh, what a perfect conclusion it was!

I love the uniqueness of this series. It's a fresh new take on Greek mythology with a young adult paranormal romance spin on it that makes it suitable to just about any reader. It's easy to follow and very easy to get hooked on completely. I also love the fact that even though I've probably read 100 books since I read the second one of the series, it took me no time to re-acclimate to the story and characters. Maybe I didn't remember specific details about some of the very minor characters, but that didn't affect my enjoyment or comprehension of what was going down in this particular book. That's SUCH a plus for me. If too much time passes between me reading different volumes of a series, it often results in me becoming a bit disenchanted with it. What can I say, I'm a "read the entire series in a couple days" kind of girl!

Okay, so for a brief run-down of this book's plot... *Spoiler alert if you haven't read the first two books!*

The Heart continues the story of Ivy, an eighteen-year-old woman who spent her entire childhood and teenage years under the control of a verbally/emotionally/physically/sexually abusive man named Nix. Nix basically runs a human-trafficking ring, except the girls aren't exactly human, they're sirens and Nix isn't exactly a man--he is the Greek god Poseidon. Nix/Poseidon hopes to use Ivy as a weapon to bring down the entire Greek pantheon and take over the rule of Olympus. All of the big players in Greek mythology are in this book: Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Ares, Hermes, Persephone, Medusa, etc. But it's told in a way that is a little less Percy Jackson and a little more Vampire Diaries or Pretty Little Liars. And when I say that, I don't mean the plot is like those series, just the overall "feel" of the series and the audience to which it will appeal. There is a great romance, plenty of creepy villains, mean girls (and sweet ones too), and a lot of suspenseful moments.

Rachel Higginson, you rock! :)

The Heart comes to it's thrilling and perfect conclusion as Ivy and Ryder are in the fight of their life as they make their last stand against Nix and fight to free those they love.

The Heart takes place a year after Ivy fled to safety, but her life of obscurity is coning to an end. Her destiny is much bigger than hiding from her enemies and Nix has decided to take matters into his own hands to force Ivy out of hiding. Ivy escaped allowed her to heal and find out who she is. She may not have all the pieces of the puzzle figured out, she will no longer be pawn in the sick games of the gods of Olympus.

Ivy really came into her own in this series. She is no longer the scared little girl just trying to survive, but a women who refuses to be leashed by selfish gods who only want to use her to assume power and glory. I also love how Ivy is not in this fight alone, while she is strong her true strength and destiny can only happen with Ryder at her side.

Ryder makes Ivy stronger and vice versa. They are two people that only makes each other stronger a better. They are willing to sacrifice for each other and fight for each other. Their selfless love lets them meet all opposition with unwavering bravery and courage.

I also loved getting to meet and interact with Olympus, it shows us that Nix is not the only villain. These gods are beyond selfish and will do anything in order to keep on to their power. While Nix is pure evil, the other god are just as bad by turning a blind eye to Nix's reign of terror. I love how Ryder and Ivy stood up to these other gods and called them out on their double standards.

The Heart was the perfect conclusion to this amazing series. You will be enthralled with Ivy's quest for free from from the chains that bind her. Her quest will come at a high price and others will need to make sacrifices in order to end Nix's reign of terror.

The epic finale in the Siren series will expand the Greek world to mythological and powerful proportion! the conclusion to the Siren series did not disappoint. The greek mythology was in full force and was even more epic, intense and creative than I could have ever anticipated. I love the way that the final book was handled and think it was the best of the whole series!!! Ryder and Ivy are more magical than ever before! Serious Rachel Higginson hit this series out of the park!

This wasn't a terrible story by any stretch of the imagination. It just wasn't my favorite. It didn't stop me from reading all 3 of them though. I guess I just kept hoping for them to get better. I ended up skimming the last half of the book.

What an amazing end to a suspenseful trilogy! I've been so excited for this book, and it did not disappoint. There wasn't as much romance as I expected with the reunion between Ryder and Ivy, but the romance that it did have was achingly sweet. Every question I had during the first two novels was answered during this final installment, and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. It was definitely the most fast-paced of the three and had lots of action. If you love mythology, as I do, this book was filled with lots of it. Rather than the brief mentions of it as in the first two novels, "The Heart" delved deeply into the world of the Olympians. With more villains than ever, surprising twists, and a satisfying conclusion, I would heartily recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys a clean, gripping novel.

*I received an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.*

I struggled with this book, and found myself massively skimming just to get to the end. For me, it felt like Ivy could only use her powers when the author needed her to for a plot point. The story seemed to oscillate between Ivy feeling hopeless and powerless, to Ivy feeling confident and ready to defeat Nix, and then she would confront him, things would go well for about 7 seconds, and then suddenly she couldn't do it again over and over until the story was ready to finish. I think this series might have been better paced if it had been condensed into one book, and removed a lot of the repetition.

That being said, it is entirely possible I'm not the target audience for this book.

I completely enjoyed this book! It’s definitely a good twist to the entire Greek mythology and the world of women trafficking without having to see all the bad scenes in that world. There’s enough for me to understand what is happening without having to traumatize me. There’s enough story was romantic but also showed me a very strong female character. It might be one of those books that isn’t forgettable.

Okay here’s the thing the story and idea are AMAZING but the writing - the repetition - the errors or things glazed over drove me nuts. By the middle of book 2 I had to skim. I assume thing was one of her first series but I have heard the others are better and because I think her ideas are good I will try another.

The story in this series evolved so much from book one to three. I really enjoyed the adventure and change of pace that this book brought. I loved the uniqueness of this storyline. There is a lot of mythology that might not be for everyone. All in all a good series and a great book/conclusion!

I loved this whole series. I read the first one several years ago and forgot about it until this year. I loved how the Greek mythology worked with modern day issues such as human trafficking. It has some dark themes but isn’t graphic and everything Ivy goes through is awesome.

This story is pretty basic - the Gods want to take over Olympus and the world - but it’s a good pace and fairly interesting. But Ivy is almost as painful as Feyre. Always trying to protect Ryder. Omg he’s a man he can protect himself and he has Zeus’ protection. What is with all these books with the FMC leaving everyone out of her plans cause she wants to protect them and she’ll sacrifice herself because she’s not worthy. Can we please have a more original FMC.and if Ivy is constantly wanting to save her family and friends why doesn’t she just sing? I mean she’s a siren!

Great series.

This was a great series . I've read it a few times . It's very clean and well written. My only complaint , and the reason I didn't give it five stars was because of all the spelling errors and sentence structure problems . I read many of Rachel's books and she really needs to get a new editor because it takes away from her talent .

Okay, so I haven't finished this yet, but its been several weeks (and for me this is usually an indicator that it isn't going to be finished). That is not to say that it was "bad" or that I didn't like it. In fact, the series itself was going pretty well. I just got bored with this particular installment, I think. I am fine with suspension of belief and all of that, but it just seemed with this last book that we went from there being sirens and other mythological creatures in our world that didn't really do to much magic-wise to crazy gods and super magic floating around. I think if the whole series contained as much magic integration as the last book holds I'd have liked it a lot more. As it was I feel that it was suddenly an overload and a "yeah right".

Not to mention that the hero/heroine kind of Mary/Gary Sue'd all over the place in this book. It just wasn't for me. I am going to eventually try to finish it since I did/do like the series as a whole, but it just isn't something that is coming easy to me. Which makes me sad since I have enjoyed Rachel Higginson's other books.

The Heart was everything I had hoped for and more - it was definitely worth the wait!

The first thing I should say is that the Siren series is one of my favorites, coming in a close second to Rachel's Reckless series! In writing The Heart, she has created the prefect ending and wrap-up! Rachel's genius shines through from the beginning - she deepened numerous characters (be they major or minor), detailed the darker Greek mythology, and explained the heights to which evil is willing to rise in order to get what is desired. I was excited and pleased with how everything was concluded and loved the fact that it just wasn't the mean to justify the end.

My final note is that you simply must read the first two books in order to understand Rachel's level of genius! Don't delay, get them all today!

I love this book! I was anxiously waiting for this book to come out because I was so excited to find out what happens to Ivy.
This book picks up a year later with Ivy on her island. On a whim, she returns to Omaha to find Ryder. Going home wasn't as easy as she expected and Ivy stumbles upon more problems. While trying to solve her problems, she is getting more powerful by the day and she is figuring out what she can really do with them. Ivy and Ryder have many adventures in the final book of the Siren series. Read this book to see how it all ends!
I really like the twists and turns this book took. It kept me wondering what would happen next. Most of the time I can guess what will happen but in this book there was a few things I didn't see coming.
I highly recommend reading this book if you read the first two books. It wraps up the series well and I LOVED the ending.

Maybe I would have like this series better if I hadn't read Love and Decay first....This author is a great story telller but her writing is frustrating. Her themes are the same love/rape/alphamale dick/strong female which would IF her charecters had differnt dialects or mannerisms. In both the Siren series and the Love and Decay series ALL the charecters speak the same. Even charecters that shohld have southern accents or Brittish or Mexican. Hendrix and Ryder are basicly the same person. "You trust me, yeah?" I feel like a dick leaving comments but these are just such good stories brought down by mediocre writing.

Waited a long time to get to the end.

I was surprised when I started to read the beginning of the end. Ivy was finally finding herself and what she liked. It was sweet full of angst. Ryder was the cherry on the top of my ice cream. I absolutely love everything about him. The way his growth progressed. I'm happy with this ending. I might have to read it one more time because although the story was good it didn't move me.... I am happy to have the end. Good read

The ending to a great series. I really enjoyed the other books in the series these being The Rush and The Fall. It is always bittersweet to end a series but Rachel Higginson has tied this series up very well. Rachel Higginson has a great ability to create worlds and characters you become absorbed in, and this one was no exception. If you love paranormal young adult stories this series and book are for you.

Loved it

I just loved this series, the completion and full circle of what was meant to be was perfect. Ivy and Ryder are every girls romantic fantasy love story.

If you love Greek Mythology and retellings with romance you will definitely love this. This is one of my favorite series and the audiobook is awesome as well. Brittany Pressley does an amazing job as the narrator in the audible edition.

Perfect conclusion to one of my favorite series; although I am hoping that one more will show up years down the road to truly show us the future, maybe when Honor turns 18. once again Rachel Higginson doesn't disappoint giving us a true heroine and touching on a subject that we need to be more aware of in a cleverly fictional way. Rachel's books are always worth the wait.

Enjoyed this dark and twisty series. Although was very confused in the first one as to what the hell was actually going on. There are no real explanations until Book 2 but then I was all like 'oooooh I get it...ish'. Loved the romance between Ivy and Ryder but there weren't as many beautiful moments in this last one as the other two.
