Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of Julia Syke's books and have looked forward to this book since I heard it was coming out. At times, though, the writing in Target felt choppy. It took a bit for me to become engaged in the story, because I struggled a little with both Lissa and Ian. The relationship, if you can call it that, didn't feel natural. However, about 3/4 through the story it started to get a lot more interesting. I'm not a fan of cliffhangers, but the wicked twist the story took at the end had me hooked. The relationship between Lissa and Ian just took a turn to the "whoa, did that just happen?" Things suddenly got a lot more interesting (and creepy) and now I need to know where things are going to go from here!

A hot start to a gripping series~
*I don't believe in spoilers*
I am always excited to start a new book from an author I love and this one hooked me two paragraphs in. Sykes did not disappoint.
She threw in several monkey wrenches right from the getgo that made me *feel* for the main character, Lissa. This heroine is colorful and Sykes' vivid descriptions painted a wide scope of emotions that was truly intriguing.
I also laughed hysterically several times while reading, because of these dynamic characters. You can see their cocky smirks through the banter and it's wickedly awesome.
Can't wait for the next installment!! This is one author whose writing truly becomes more refined in every novel.

The first book in the Renegade series....love it!! Just like all the other book's that Julia writes, they pull you in and leave you craving for more!! This book is about a FBI agent undercover on an assignment who meets Lucy a bipolar woman with issues that sees a therapist who encourages her to go to a sex club, where she hooks up with a Master C... who is quite rude to her and she has a moment where she bangs him up a bit until he starts to get rough with her and then she meets Ian just before she is almost attacked by Master C.... okay, NO more spoiler get the book and the next because it's a cliffhanger, with danger and excitement!
OF course I would recommend this book, it's erotic romance and for adults only!

Wow! I don't know how Julia does it, but she is brilliant! She is able to make your heart race and then adds a twist that makes you gasp. Lissa is new to the BDSM world and goes on a date to a local BDSM club. Things don't go well and Ian, the sexy Dom steps in. He resists her, something dark from his past keeping him from connecting with her. The electricity between these two draws you in and I cannot wait to see where the story goes. The danger and suspense leaves you wanting more, more and more! Amazing beginning to this series.

Fantastic start to the serial. I couldn't stop reading and kept looking for more when I got to the end. Speaking of the end...ugh all I can say is write fast because I can't wait to see how this story plays out.

Lissa has her own issues and decides to give BDSM a try. Her innocence draws Ian like nothing else can. Now they are both put on the spot and it seems they are being used for a much bigger plan.

I have yet to read a book by Julia Sykes that I didn't love!! Target is no different . I dont know how the story between Ian and Lissa is going to go. Ian is an FBI agent on an important case. He has a past that keeps him from moving on.
Lissa has issues of her own. It's aa addictive read. I did not want the book to end. It was like a taster for your favourite meal, just enough to get your taste buds flowing but not enough to satisfy your hunger!!
Cannot wait for the next book. The epilogue was a twist all of its own. I think that my emotions will take a hammering.
Please Julia Sykes write quickly!!!

Enters Ian, definitely an attraction, but he is trying to stay away, due to his history, wow, the group they are trying to take down, are a scary group. They are attracted, but fear of loss, of losing her is keeping them apart, then her therapist keeps hypnotizing her while she is unaware, and her mom, let's him, seriously who does that. Cannot wait to get the next bk.

4 Platypires for Target by Julia Sykes
This was a really good read. Just a really good combination of suspense and romance to make me want to continue reading. The is the first book in a serial so don't be surprised with cliffhangers but in all honestly this was done pretty well. I liked the pacing of the writing and the chemistry between the characters. Overall a really great read and I can't wait to read the next edition in this series.
I would recommend Target to those who enjoy some kink in their romance.

Once again Julia Sykes did not disappoint!!!! The first book in her newest series & after devouring it within a of couple hours I was left dying for more. It was short & a cliffhanger (my only complaint) but it had everything I want in a good book...humor, sex, & suspense that left me dying for the next one. Target was the perfect start to Lissa & Ian's story & I'm really looking forward to reading more about them.

This new series by Julia Sykes is awesome! It's a shorter read than most of her books but it has all the things her other books have, great story, action, suspense, mystery, romance and hot sex! Lissa and Ian are both really great characters. Be warned the ending is a cliffhanger and you will be screaming "what the...?!" loved the ending!

Starts off great and builds to where you really start to like or dislike Characters. By the end your really getting into it but then...... cliff hanger so if you don't enjoy those I would read at own risk. I also like how it didn't make best into a dark dirty thing just a kink some people enjoy.well written and can't wait for the next installment.

I like this book. It's the first in a series so I think I will like the second book more. The main characters Ian and Lissa have a chance meet at a BDSM club....or is it. The couple are clearly attracted to each other...or are they. When Lissa is dragged into Ian's undercover operations they have to pretend to be in a M/s relationship which means training! That's where this first book ends.

Once again Julia Sykes does not disappoint. I felt sorry for Lissa as much as she was attracted to Ian and he rejected her. Alot of twists to this story. You will not be disappointed. A true keeper just like the rest of her books.

Ian seems like a really hot BDSM Alpha male...I love it. Lissa...im a little iffy on her character...BUT...I think that is because some shady shit is going on. Not her doing, but they r using her mind as a pawn. Im very intrigued to find out what happens.

Phenomenal writing. Love the connection between the characters and that I can FEEL the connection through the whole book. That's something that is sometimes very hard to find in a book. Which makes it all the more wonderful when it's stumbled upon. Bravo Julia Sykes.

I know it's a bunch of novellas so the stories have to be quick and hard hitting but there seems to be something a little adolescent about the plot. I don't know I'm keeping myself a little reserved about this series until I read all of them. So far not to bad...

This is a new author for me, but I can honestly say I am hooked. Ian & Lissa have chemistry that is for sure. I did not see the ending coming like it did. Can't wait to read book two.
