Firstly, this is a great booklet with a four-part breakdown of the matter of salvation. The four chapters are actually four messages given by the author on a [at that time] a nationwide weekly radio broadcast. The first message is a message on salvation's three phases, the second on the scriptural simplicity of salvation, the third on the assurance of salvation and finally in the fourth message- what a new Christian should do.
Secondly, the booklet is interesting in it shows the growth Hutson was undergoing. Hutson was the assistant editor of the Sword of the Lord at that time, basically an editor in training. Already a successful pastor and evangelist Hutson was in about 18 months going to be thrust into the helm of the foremost evangelical paper in the world. I can see the difference between this and his later published material. Not that this was bad, to the contrary, it was sound, sensible and scriptural but it lacks the polish of his later material [which I have been reading as of late]. It is quite a blessing to see and feel growth in Christians, even those that are already mature.
Thirdly, it is unlikely that you will find a copy of this booklet except where they sell used materials as it was not published for general sale but was a radio premium for those who supported the aforementioned broadcast.
