Two Men Joined By Fate…

Asher and Kiaran were joined at birth by the dying decree of the Dragon King―literally. Asher had his own bit of magic as a 3,000 year old immortal, and Kiaran was his dragon shifter. Out in society Kiaran was a part of Asher―absorbed into Asher’s body―only being able to separate in dragon form. At their birth home, the two men could exist apart from each other as men. They protected each other, and would until their dying breath if it ever came to that. They shared everything…that is until Essie came along….

Essie was doing her best to hide from a mother that didn’t even recognize her own daughter. The witch had poisoned her with a scratch and if Essie wasn’t healed soon she’d die…. Sick or not she didn’t want anything to do with that handsome, overbearing barbarian, Asher, nor that rude dragon that protected him. She was doing just fine on her own.

But Asher had other things on his mind and after a while brings Essie around to his way of thinking and makes her his wife, but Kiaran brought up a valid point―Essie was his mate too….

Could Essie find it in her heart to love both men equally? To share the bed of both―together?

Asher’s five brothers and their dragons watched the scenario unfold with bated breaths. The subject had never been broached, and all their futures hung on the outcome….

Reading the blurbs, then the reviews only seem to build the anticipation when contemplating a new series. Then when all the information is gathered, the decision is made and the excitement builds as the new book is started is such a satisfying feeling when you finish the story only to find it so much more than anticipated. That's how I feel right now after finishing 'Asher', Kathi S. Barton's first book in her "Dragon's Savior" series. What I initially thought was going to be a shifter story turned into so much more. Let me give you a brief explanation so you too can encounter the magic of this incredible book. Set in your mind a time when there are castles, kings, and queens. A time when magic, both white and black, filled the earth and wasn't scoffed at. King Anthony and Queen Eve lived during such a time but sadly they came under attack. Queen Eve had six eggs she had hidden in a cave to keep them protected and after being fatally injured, per her request, her King delivered her to their extraordinary clutch, when one egg was the norm, for her to protect their miracles with her last breath. King Anthony, being injured as well, led their attackers to the castle itself. With little time left, knowing he was dying, had a faithful subject brought to him. Jacob was to marry a woman he didn't know. They were to have six sons and each son would have one of the King's dragons as his own for all their days and keep each other safe. Not only do we have kings, queens, and dragons but there, as I stated earlier, are those that carry and practice black and white magic, and faeries. For those of us that read Ms. Barton's books, we know there is always a Good vs. Evil element, and at least one crazy, deranged or evil family member. This storyline checks all those boxes, including a fated, magical, chemistry between not two but three. Absolutely brilliant!

If you like dragon shifters, magic and romance....this is the book for you! Asher is the eldest of six brothers. When he was born, his dragon shifter Kiaran came to him and they were joined as one....forever to protect each other.

Essie is the daughter of an evil witch, who wishes to destroy all dragons. Turns out Essie is the mate to Asher and subsequently mate to Kiaran. Tough as nails and head strong, Essie discovers she is capable of using powerful magic, as is her new mate Asher. Together with Asher's brothers and their dragons they must all band together and defeat the evil conniving witch before it's too late.

This story was jammed packed with exciting magic, mystery and mayhem.....red hot love scenes and hunky men! A very well written love story that turns into a love triangle of sorts...can Essie learn to love both her human mate and his dragon equally? Get this awesome paranormal romance and find out~~~

This was an awesome read that once I started I could not put down until the very last word was read. This book moved along at a great pace, has amazing characters and a story that will take you away from your everyday reality while keeping you interested and entertained. This has got to be read, no doubt about it.

Interesting!

This book was very good & interesting with the fact that the dragons that are not only part of Asher’s family as tattoos but that they can be separate & as a man too.

Asher is the oldest of the brothers & finds his mate with the help of his ghostly father. His father, Jacob, is a ghost at 1st in this book & suggests to Elbert, the shifter that’s been with the family for ages, that he & Asher go to their house in the woods for a vacation of sorts.

While there they come across Essie, who can also see Jacob. Jacob told her that she could stay at the house for a little while; but as soon as she sees Asher & Elbert she goes back to the cave that she was living in.

This is the beginning of their story which does have some interesting surprises in it.

I am going to love this series. I couldn't put Asher down. First, dragons. That's just cool all on it's own. But, Kathi takes it even further and makes it unique. The men don't become their dragon, so they aren't actually dragon shifters. Their dragon is essentially a separate part of them, therefore making them, in essence, two individual people who happen to reside in one body, instead of one person who has the ability to change into a dragon. Very cool, right? So Asher and his dragon, Kiaran, along with Asher's brothers and Kiaran's brothers (who are each also a part of one of Asher's brothers) are going about their business and living their lives. However, Asher needs a change.

That change leads him to Essie, his mate. Essie has not had an easy life and is still in danger. I like that Essie didn't immediately fall head over heels for Asher. She gave him some crap first. Of course, their connection wins her over and they mate. But, all is not kitten kisses and butterflies. Essie is injured, secrets are revealed, the villian needs to be stopped, and someone learns who, or should I say what, they are. I must say, Essie on her own, is pretty kick butt. I liked her fighting spirit and attitude. She and Asher are perfect for each other in all ways.

This was a great book and I'm looking forward to seeing each of them find their mate. Psst, there's also a twist towards the end that I was hoping would happen, and it did. Love that Kathi went there.

Asher and Kiaran are an interesting combination. Typically a shifter shares himself with his beast but they are the same person. In Asher's case, Kiaran is separate being, two complete bodies that share a space. This was an amazing concept that is sure to quickly grab your attention as you read how this came about. Living forever seems like a good thing but Asher is board and when that happens the boys get into trouble. Essie is not looking for a man, dragon or anything else. She was hurt by a dark witch and falls into the plans of Asher's father to get them to meet. If you love dragons, mystical creatures, ghosts, legends, magic and a really intense love story, you are going to love this series. There is a lot of history setting up the story in this plot and the characters struggle to understand the magic that they have an how it works. This in turn makes it very realistic and easy to relate too. Great storyline, interesting characters, lots of drama and some amusing supporting characters make this a great reading experience. I enjoyed this story right from page one and look forward to seeing how this series plays out.

Dragons and Dragons and oh yeah more Dragons!

This is not your typical shifter read. Each of the brothers are given one dragon from birth and each relies on the other to live, if one dies they both die.

Asher (man) and Kiaran (dragon) are the first of the group to find their mate. Living for thousands of years without finding a mate the group has no idea what is in store for them or their other halves. I did put which is the dragon and which is the man because at first starting out reading this book I did get quite confused!
When Asher's mate Essie enters the picture everyone's lives are turned upside down. When dealing with mates you can't always know what is going to happen! Will she be able to accept both Asher and his dragon? What about when Kiaran shows he can be a human male when on the enchanted land?

A great start to a new series with Dragons, Faeries and Witches!

Asher: Dragon's Savior is the first book in Kathi S Barton's newest series. Meet Asher and Kiaran who are literally joined at birth by the Dragon King. Asher is an immortal and Kiaran is a dragon shifter - in public they are one - at home they are two separate men - sharing everything until Essie comes along. Essie is hiding from her mother and needs to be healed after being poisoned, but she wants nothing to do with Asher or Kiaran. Will she come to love each one - to share a life with each other?? Another great book by the awesome Kathi S. Barton -- would definitely recommend to all as a must read.

I'm a huge Kathi S Barton fan and I love everything she does. But this book for me is her best so far. Two souls joined together at birth Asher (an immortal) and Kiran (a shift shaping dragon) make a great combination. Centuries if not milleniums later Asher finds his mate with a little help from his long time deceased dad. Asher is devoted to Essie from the start but Essie and Kiaran have a slow burning love making the three complete. Throw in an evil mother with an equally evil ritual to destroy the dragons. Six brothers and six dragons oh my. Cannot wait for the next book in this series!

I was given a copy of this book by the author for my honest review. Asher and Kiaran are joined at birth. Essie is hiding from the witch that trying to kill her and the witch is her mother. Kiaran is a dragon shifter. Asher is a 3,000 year old immortal. Kiaran is absorbed into Asher's body when not on magical land. Asher goes to his childhood home and finds Essie there dying they save her. She don't want anything to do with Asher at first but she comes around. Asher makes her is wife but she is all so Kiaran mate. Can Essie love both men? Share a bed with both?

Loved It!!

I love this new series. Ive read every single series by Ms Barton and loved every single one of them. This was such a good read, i brought it and read it in one day. And i was surprise to find that its a MFM, and Im glad because half way through it, i started to wonder if Kiaran would be her mate as well since he is a part of Asher, but I am so thankful that she accepted him too. Such an exciting series I cannot wait for the next book and wonder which brother and his dragon half will get their HEA.

Welcome to another new series from Author Kathi S. Barton. Dragons, dragons and more dragons are coming the readers way. This is not the typical shifter read either, each man has a dragon but that dragon is also a man. They were interwoven with each other at birth. If one dies, the other also dies. Asher is the first of these men we meet and he is going to set a high bar for the rest to follow. Enter in Essie as a mate for Asher. She isn't human, but what is she? Will she accept both of these men into her life? Who is trying to bring the dragons down? Will they succeed?

I really like were this series is going you have Dragons, Faeries, Witches etc... The magic in the the book blew my mind. when I'm reading her book I feel apart of the book. My only problem was I felt like we didn't get a chance to see the Love between Asher, Kiaran & Essie developed. The book was about Asher & Essie then right before the end they all loved each other. I wanted to hear more Kiaran & how he felt about everything. I am excited to see what you have in store for the rest of the brothers!!!

Sensational

I absolutely loved Asher, Essie, and Kiaran's story. It had all the right elements for a fantastic fantasy/paranormal romance. The scenes between Essie and Asher were sizzling, the interactions between the characters kept the story flowing, and the descriptive aspects were not over done and did not leave important questions unanswered. The twist at the end was one I had hoped for, and added greatly to the story. I am looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Great read!

I loved the story line. At first I thought the Dragon was going to be made to stand aside and watch the couple be together and just protect them, now I'm glad I was wrong. I can wait for the next installment.

DNF. Got about 30% into this book and although there is promise to the underlying story that is trying to come out, the overall writing style, which is confusing and a little irritating because of it, gets in the way. Don't know that I will bother with anything else by this author.
