Now out of print.

Mark McLaughlin's 2003 story collection, ONCE UPON A SLIME, gathered into one volume all of his entries in the World Horror Convention's Gross-Out Story-Reading Contests. His readings have always placed high in the contest over the years, and he has won first place twice. That collection also included more of McLaughlin's hilarious tales, told in his wicked and inimitable style.

SLIME AFTER SLIME takes the very best tales from ONCE UPON A SLIME and combines them with a fresh new crop of shocking stories, making this volume the definitive collection of McLaughlin's most gruesome and goo-some work.

I have the limited hardcover edition of this book. It has most of the stories found in the out-of-print book, ONCE UPON A SLIME, plus more stories - including his entries from the World Horror Convention's Gross-Out Contests.

Mark is a superb writer of dark humor and Lovecraft parodies. I've been a fan of his from the first story I've read of his and have been following him ever since. His writer's voice is very energetic. The imagery flows and the chuckles never stop. That said, there are a few serious stories in there that pull at your heartstrings, and that only adds to the overall charm that much more.

This book is among my most prized possessions.

I love this book. There are some of my favorite stories such as "The Final Broadcast of Sugarville's Channel 7 Action News," "Claws Of The Internet Witches," "Dracula Has Risen From The Sofa," "Vulture Soup For The Soulless," "Attack of the Fifty-Foot Prison Bitch," "Tell Your Secrets To The Slime" and so much more.
