2.5 OH GOD IT"S A LOVE TRIANGLE Stars
*Spoilers*
I am going to keep this short and sweet. Under a Falling Star, was not my Jam. This book had two of my pet peeves, love Triangles(I hate like 85% of the love triangles I have read) and cowards. Being a coward is my second biggest pet peeve next to cheating. I hate reading a book where someone acts like a big chicken, sticking their head in the sand and not dealing with things. Chickens are not sexy just saying. Susanna in this book was a huge coward and she drove me nuts. The hero wasn't much better since he hide things from her although to be fair he did try to tell her a few time and she changed the subject every time because she was too scared to deal with what he was going to say. Then she gets mad at him for keeping it from her when she wouldn't let him tell her. Oh and she is a hypocrite since she was mad at him for keeping secrets when she was keeping things from him. Then there was the love triangle between Albert, Susanna, and Dalton. I thought Dalton and Albert were ok but again the way Susanna could just be with either guy like they were interchangeable annoyed me too. Don't get me wrong she wasn't hoppin in bed with them both. This is a clean book, no sex. Now that all being said, this review is just my personal opinion. This book didn't work for me because of personal taste and my dislike of love triangles and cowardly behavior. So if you don't mind love triangles you would most likely enjoy this book. It reminded me a lot of The Little House On The Prairie. It was written well, and some of the other characters were endearing. So a miss for me but I know a lot of my friends that would enjoy it.

A clean, heart-warming historical romance set in the small town of Logan Meadows
"Susanna, I'm not exactly sure how to begin. Where to start. I know I was in the wrong by not telling you sooner, but I was in an incredibly tight spot."

UNDER A FALLING STAR by Caroline Fyffe is a clean, heart-warming historical romance set in the small town of Logan Meadows. I've thoroughly enjoyed all the previous books I've read by Caroline. I did enjoy this read, but struggled through some of it. Unfortunately, it's not one of my favorites. There's a love triangle and neither the hero nor the heroine rocked my boat - perhaps because I preferred the other character in the love triangle and wasn't happy with the heroine for not giving him a shot. The hero wasn't a bad guy... he just had some issues that didn't sit well with me. Just know that you might read this story and feel completely different about the characters.
This was the story of Sheriff Albert Preston and Susanna Robinson with Dalton Babcock on the sidelines. The sheriff has been enamored of Susanna for a long while, but he has a dark secret in his past that has prohibited him from asking for her hand. Now, with a suspicious train wreck near Logan Meadows, a slew of train wreck victims, a large amount of money ensconced in the town's bank, a righteously very mad Susanna and another man competing for her attention, Albert has his hands full.
Supporting characters include Nate, Albert's son. He's a darling boy who is excited about the prospect of creepy crawlies in their outhouse:
"Where's the toilet room?"...
"Outhouse 'round back."
When the boy's eyes lit up, Albert laughed again.
"You like that?"
"Sure. Lots of lizards."
Is it too much to hope that Dalton Babcock will return to Logan Meadows in the future and be awarded with his own HEA?
As with all of Caroline's books, UNDER A FALLING STAR is very well-written. AND it's always a treat to catch up with favorite characters from previous books. There's quite a bit of suspense in this read that keeps the two male leads on their toes - and at each other's throats - through-out. Readers can look forward to a sweet happy-ever-after ending and having everything resolved with a tidy bow in the epilogue. I would recommend UNDER A FALLING STAR to fans of historical western romances.

Dalton Babcock is guarding $1,000,000 on the Union Pacific. The train was due to stop at Logan Meadows but just before they got to the town there was a deadly accident on the tracks.
Suzanna Robinson was in the middle of helping with the wedding reception for Brenna and Greg. A big party was planned for this beloved couple who are finally getting their big day.
Sheriff Albert Preston watched all the comings and goings with the party but mostly was watching Suzanna. In the middle of the reception the townspeople are notified of the terrible train wreck and everybody pitches in to help. It’s the time where the entire town comes together to do what they can to help no matter the cost.
I love Caroline Fyffe’s stories about the old west and a time where people were real neighbors and friends. Whether it was hard times or good times, you could always count on friends. This story starts with a bang and you don’t want to put it down until the end. The personalities of the townspeople give the town its own character in the story. I love this. It’s the kind of place you’d want to live if you lived in the 1800’s. There are many secrets that come out and cause hurt and pain but it all works out in the end.

LOVE TRIANGLE
This book was entertaining. I'm loving this series and dreading the last book, because it's been such fun getting to know all the characters. This author does a fantastic job developing characters not only in the book where they're particularly featured, but also through the rest of the series. This book focuses on sheriff Albert Preston and town resident Susanna Robinson. Susanna works at the restaurant owned by Hannah, wife of the deputy sheriff Thom, whose story was featured in a previous book.
At the beginning of the book, we meet Dalton Babcock, who, it turns out, grew up in the same town as Susanna, and the two are about to come unexpectedly face-to-face with Albert in the middle. The problem? Everyone in town knows Albert is sweet on Susanna, except Susanna, it seems. She has feelings for him but doesn't think he could possibly feel the same for her. Then, when she begins to think they might have a chance, Dalton appears and could potentially ruin everything...if there was anything to ruin.
To complicate things further, Albert and Susanna each carry their own secret that, if the other was to find out, could destroy any chance of a relationship ever getting off the ground. So when Dalton appears and starts making moves on Susanna, Albert is frantic but feels like his secret is holding him back from letting Susanna know how he really feels, and Susanna is afraid that if Dalton mentions the life from which she came, she'd never have a chance with Albert anyway. Little does anyone know, the train wreck that brought Dalton into town in the first place is bringing a lot more with it than the large amount of cash being transferred from one bank to another.
This book had me reading to the end. It was one of those I just couldn't stop until I finished, and when I did, I was like, wow! It takes a good author to be able to weave together so much action and keep it all straight throughout the whole story, but it was well-done here.

Just love this series
I’ve been reading other genres of books, and I decided I wanted to read something with the hometown adventures of the old west. There’s something about the wholesomeness of this genre that fills me with happiness. Thank you Ms. Fyffe for your wonderful series…on to the next in the series!!

This story kept me captivated with its mystery, romantic suspense, secrets, deceit, lies, and unanswered questions. From a train wreck to multiple injuries, fatalities, a million dollar bank transport, surprise meetings, former acquaintances, and two men wanting the same woman, you know you will have a beautiful story.
Sheriff Albert Preston and Susanna Robinson have been friends for two-year, even the townsfolk considered them a couple, but the relationship has been more as good friends that courting couple. Both Albert and Susanna have dark secrets that they have never revealed, and that has prevented them from moving forward. What will happen when they come to light? More than death and injuries come from the train wreck that has turned the town of Logan Meadows upside down. The plot keeps the pages turning with an excellent cast of characters, entertaining dialog and heartwarming scenes. The story can read well as a standalone even though this is part of a series. Once again, Caroline Fyffe has created a heartwarming historical set in the old West. This is the fourth book in the series but it can be read as a stand-alone. However, there are a lot of couples involved in this story so you may prefer to know all of their stories. Albert and Susannah are both looking for a fresh start in Logan Meadows and while they'd like to start a life together, neither is prepared to open up about their respective pasts. So when Albert is forced to face his past, he just may lose Susannah to another suitor. This was a great read and I for one would look forward to more from this author since there are still several characters who need their stories told.

Another one down
I’m working my way through this series, no break between book 3 and 4. My education continues, learning things about the late 1800’s. This time, I learned about a kind of yellow cotton cloth called nankeen. Apparently, in this time period, pants made of this cloth were called “nankeens”. I wonder if someday a reader will be looking up “chino’s” to see what kind of pants...or chambray work shirt. But I digress. I love this author’s way of describing scenery with poetic words, such beautiful writing. I enjoy highlighting the colorful descriptive sayings of the day, or perhaps they are the author’s own quirky sayings. Delightful.

Continuation of great characters in the Western town
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the characters. While it is a stand alone book, I had to put it down, go back and read the third book, which I had skipped, and then came back to this one. The story and characters made much more sense and kept my interest after doing that. I didn't give 5 stars due to a few editing issues that should have been caught and corrected. However, I do recommend this book, and appreciate the author writing an enjoyable book without the bad language and sexual content so many romances use to try and improve their ratings. Good job!

He didn’t deserve her forgiveness
Spoilers:: the Sheriff lied. Plain and simple he lied by omitting the truth from S and from the townsfolk where he worked as a lawman. Who in a small town would continue to trust this guy after finding out he’s been hiding who he is and his past, whether it was his fault or not, for YEARS!! Even after it was discovered he still kept things hidden from S. And why introduce a love triangle, if S wasn’t even interested in the better option. it’s just dumb. It also seems like S was being pressured to forgive him. She shouldn’t have forgiven him for lying and the town should have ousted him. Am I applying too much expectation of this book?

I enjoyed reading this book about Albert and Susanna. Susanna is working at the Silky Hen as a waitress and Albert is the Sheriff of town and they meet and start to fall in love. Then his wife comes from back east and brings their five-year-old son to town but on the way there's a train wreck and she dies. Leaving Albert with a son he didn't know about.
Albert had been trying to get a divorce for five years but his wife wouldn't sign the papers. In her trunks he finds the papers he has been waiting for. Her death shocks him and he now is free to pursue Susanna. He can't wait except he needs to get to know his son.

A decent continuation of the series
It is the turn of the sheriff Albert Preston and Susanna the waitress to fall in love, but not without hiccups along the way. I did like the main characters of Susanna and Albert, but did get slightly fed up with her hang up about men not being faithful, especially when she had ALL the examples of her friends' loving marriages.
I could not understand also why Albert would not tell Susanna the truth about his first wife when he trusted her, but I suppose it all makes a story!

With a wish when shooting star was seen, so the story unfolds for Albert and his sweetheart Susanna. The accident that occurs draws many people together as love is finding life getting in the way. I loved how the mystery around the accident comes to light and how the author brings all mysteries and secretes to light. With many twists and turns, the plot was action packed and kept the pages turning. Thank you again for. Great read! Keep them coming!

This was one of the best books I have read! I love reading books set in the time before cars and electricity. This is the first book I have read from Caroline Fyffe and I will be adding her books to my want to read list! Her words flowed across the page making it a great read! A train wreck, a million dollars, a love triangle and a possibility of a robbery made for a great read!! If you haven't read this series now is a good time to start!

I really enjoyed this book it had a few twists that made it great. The other books in this series are also good. This book is about Sheriff Albert and Susanna. They have been dating for years and everyone expects them to couple up but a tragic train crash brings Albert's past to him.
It wouldn't be a problem but Albert never told Susann's about his past and then having it dumped on her in front of the town as if she didn;t know him at all hurt her. Now hispast has threatened his future.

A new life.
I must say that I am completely under the spell of This author. She brings the characters and places to life and you become part of the book. The stories are believable and take you along
as the action continues. I hate to put the book down

I must say that I am completely under the spell of This author. She brings the characters and places to life and you become part of the book. The stories are believable and take you along
as the action continues. I hate to put the book down

Quality reading
This is the Caroline Fyffe I loved in A Prairie Hearts Novel Books 1 and 2. Book 3 was a big disappointment. I almost didn't read Under a Falling Star. Wonderful new characters along with the characters from the previous books. Storyline was exceptional. I loved the ending. I had no idea of the surprises the end would hold. Very good book!

One of the BESTEST endings ever written
I've heartedly enjoyed every book in this series but this one is my favorite. The characters are wonderfully rich. And this is a mystery story with, at least for me, a surprise ending. And no, I'm not going to state anything else. Don't want to spoil the fun of reading this one. Loved it and highly, very highly, recommend.

I really loved the narrator of this book the most so far from all of the books in this series. He did great at defining different voices and is the best male speaker I've listened to when it comes to female voices.
The book was great and kept me on the edge of my seat. Even though I could tell how certain things would turn out before reading them I still really enjoyed it.

Another beautiful Tory about hope and forgiveness and such. Wonderful place to spend time. Entertaining and heartfelt. The Hand h find what is most important. The bad guys and friend get their comeuppance and an HEA brings it hope. Poetry and vision in her writing. Twists and turns and then things eventually land in the right place. Going for another…book.

Love this Series
I like the way each book picks up from the last and intertwines the characters together giving so much life to the story. The descriptive quality of the author makes it so easy to visualize the setting making one feel as though you are right there!

Wonderful story!
What a sweet, heartwarming tale! Love this little town and all its friendly folks! The ending is so sweet, your teeth will hurt and you may have to wipe away a tear or two! Wonderful read!

I love Charlie and his daughters story. I enjoyed seeing a different and softer side to Nell. I also love to revisit with the other residents of Logan Meadows. I was quickly drawn to the scenery and characters in the Prairie Hearts novels and look forward to each book.

Falling Star
I truly enjoy Caroline' s style of writing. This is another good book. A sweet love story, not without its trails. The characters are interesting and engaging. The train wreck and attempted bank robbery made it hard to put this book down.

I enjoyed this one, I love the town of Logan Meadows, and reading about its people. I was a tad confused when I started this story because I had it in my mind from the previous stories that Albert was considerably older than he was.

Again Caroline has out done herself. Very very good story. Second chances are a good thing. This story blends love and chaos in Caroline's unique story telling way. This has been a great series so far. I can't wait to start the next book!!!
