4.5 My Ovaries will never be the same again Stars
This book is intended for an adult audience. It contains explicit sex; voyeurism; dirty talking males with bad language.
I am NOT kidding here, people. Read this series at your own risk. Even my steel ovaries get overheated while reading this. I swear it's like Setta Jay sits down after she finishes each book and then thinks to herself, I wonder how I can make my next dirty talking alpha even DIRTIER. Then she finishes the next book and thinks
Because OH MY GAWD but this series just continues to get hotter and hotter.
First meet Conn
The tatted and pierced lycos of The Guardians. I loved that Conn never fought his mating when he learned he had a mate. His courting of her was both sweet and a practice in sexual frustration. He knew that if they touched each other they would go into full mating heat, and he didn't want Dacia to feel like her lust forced her decision. What takes place is the most sexually frustrating experience of my life. And no I'm not exaggerating here.
See Dacia needs to make up her mind that she's not coerced into the mating by getting to know Conn. So while the sexual chemistry between the two of them was so damn hot I thought I'd get scorched, they may eye fuck the fuck out of each other
Between their lusty little dancing around each other, Conn's dirty talking ways, and the undercurrent of the hottest sexual chemistry ever, I thought I'd die if they didn't bang each others brains out soon
What? Don't you judge me here. The man was a dirty talking god...pun intended.
As always in the midst of all this mating heat, Setta Jay continues to weave an intricate plot with her unique world building and side characters. I enjoyed that this book didn't have a secondary story as I felt it would have been too much. As it was we get a sizzling hot romance and the plot of the bad guys thicken. I'm totally and completely sucked into the world of The Guardians of the Realms and I wouldn't have it any other way. Did I mention that it's fucking HOT?
I think the thing that I really loved the most, is that Conn and Dacia didn't have to solidify their union by him sharing her with his brother Guardians. As hot as it was in the other books, it still wasn't my favorite since it came immediately after the mating ceremony and it kind of fizzled it for me. Though obviously not enough for me to not enjoy it. But I am glad that we didn't have that here.
If you're a fan of SUPER erotic PNR I have no idea why you haven't read this series yet. While most information from the past books gets reiterated in each new book without ever sounding redundant, I'd still recommend reading this series in order. The world building builds off of each book and there is a continuing story line with the bad guys that continues throughout the series. You'd enjoy the books much more reading them in order.
As for me? I'm off to ice my ovaries now...

4.25 soul-consuming stars
Conn just happens to be the one Guardian I have been waiting for. In all the previous books he has proven to be the happy go lucky guy who is always there for his brothers and sisters and their mates. He is also the first of the Guardian's who is excited to have a mate and has made finding her his main priority, when they are not battling the mess that is forever haunting them. Little does he know his little wolf is new not only to his world but to everything she is and everything they could be.
Dacia has had only one goal in her life, continue on the work of her parents and find others like her and her family on Earth. Little did she know that she would find that and so much more than she ever bargained for. Consumed is too little of a word to describe the way she feels when Conn makes his presence known, he has her all out of sorts, she begins to doubt herself and her instincts that has kept her alive all this time.
Knowing how new and overwhelming this all is too Dacia, Conn battles his beast back to give her the care she needs, giving her a chance to take things in and give her the sense of control. Deserving a gold medal for his restraint, it goes without saying that while he may keep his hands an mouth to himself, he takes every opportunity to tempt her as much as she tempts him.
Dacia has always put her family first, but being a mate of a Guardian requires a sense of secrecy, one she isn't quite sure she can keep...especially from her family. They each are holding back, knowing they cannot go through the mating ceremony with so much between them still, while they may have each others heart an body, their trust with the other piece of themselves is withheld.
Tempting Ecstasy is the fourth installment in the Guardian's of the Realm series, while each follows a different Guardian, the underlying plot flows through each one progressing as it seems the deeper we get. Conn was the one Guardian I was most excited about, because he was the only one (this far) who was eager to find his one and only. He's is THE leader of the pack, so to see all the different sides of him was just icing on the cake. He was fair and just, sweet and caring, sexy and naughty and downright loveable in every way. Dacia is a female who has had her world turn upside down, her suspicious and hesitancy was a heavily portrayed, but as an innocent I had to give her a break. What I have grown to love and enjoy about this series is the fact that each Guardian has their own beast; giving us a different take on the mating frenzy and ritual each and every time.
Highly recommended to my friends who enjoy their paranormal reads with an erotic twist!

4.5 LOVE to be TEMPTED STARS

Tempting Ecstasy is the fourth book in The Immortal Guardians Series. With each book in the series, the plot continues to develop and the intensity of the bonds continue to build. What I have found to be most appealing in this series is the camaraderie between the guardians and the strength of their mated counterparts.
Dacia is a Lykos (immortal half wolf with the power of telekinesis). She is a loner but is passionately loyal to her family. Just as she is setting up a life for herself deep in the safety of the forest, Conn (a Guardian) scents her and recognizes her as HIS! Because she has spent her life on earth, when Conn enters the scene her entire world is turned upside down.
Conn, also a Lykos, recognizes instantly that Dacia is not quite ready to immerse herself into the Guardian Life. Conn makes the decision to wait for her to be ready to accept him. I thoroughly enjoyed the "advance/retreat" between these two. Conn and Dacia took time to build their friendship before they took their relationship to the next level.

When they do come together, it was full steam ahead. Ms. Jay certainly knows how to right a smokin' hot scene! In the meantime, the realms are under attack. Dacia's family is moved in with the Guardians and things are turned upside down as the tension builds. This read is action packed, full of tenderness, and suspense!

If you have been following my reviews of this series, you know that the main theme of each book is based on a guardian and how he finds and claims his mate. I astonished at how Ms. Jay makes each book unique. Each guardian has different gifts and temperaments as do their mates. I have thoroughly enjoyed each book individually but also how it aligns with the series as a whole! Sometimes when you are reading a series you quickly forget about the characters that were featured in the previous books. I have found that in this series I only grow more attached to each of them and I love to see them developing and growing as the series develops. I have become a die hard Setta Jay fan and I already have the next book loaded on my kindle and ready to go! PRN Romance Fans you must check this series out!

Oh little wolfy, what on earth were you waiting for?
Hmmm, Tempting Ecstasy…this one left me a wee bit frustrated. In the series so far we’ve met each of the couples and gone through their lust filled journey to their first connection that brings on the mating frenzy. With Conn and Dacia, the main characters, Dacia is innocent and Conn was patient and thoughtful…HUH??? The Guardian’s aren’t patient and thoughtful. They’re animals that are ruled by their uncontrollable need to mate. Maybe it was my mood, but I just wanted him to get growly, demanding and tell her to get her head out of her arse and bend over. Well he could maybe be a little nicer and say, please bend over. Dacia was very inexperienced and with the whole situation being a complete surprise to her, she felt she needed to understand things before she could commit. I felt that if Dacia had loosened her control a little and let Conn guide her, Conn, Dacia and my frustration wouldn’t have gone on so long.
So even though the actual mating frenzy and ritual didn’t happen until the second part of the book, it was still a really hot read. Conn has a potty mouth and would tell Dacia all his deepest darkest desires. With Dacia having practically no experience, his words had the desired effect of uncontrollable lust.
Wait a second…it’s just hit me. This book was written for the people who like the slow burn, drawn out sexual tension, with intense orgasms at the end of six hours of foreplay. Now I get it. It explains why it didn’t work for me. I’m a slam bam thank you Ma’am kind of reader. The first time should be fast, intense and a little crazy in my opinion. If you like the slow burn, delayed gratification kind of foreplay, you’ll love Conn.
I really enjoyed this story and loved seeing old and new characters meet and interact. Elizabeth the psycho chicken is still playing her dark and twisted games. Cynthia is a baddie for all the wrong reasons. Drake has issue with smoke coming out his nose. Sirena is working her arse off but showing signs of frustration. Gregoire is still a possessive crazy horsey man when it comes to Alysa’s safety. Bastian is still quiet…and Jax is still dipping and slipping into anything that climbs into his bed. We meet Dacia’s brothers and sisters who are mostly lovable, but a little frustrated with all the changes being thrust upon them.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again…this series is addictive. Setta Jay has created characters that are intense, sexy, strong and determined. There is always a riveting story line, with a lot of hot and kinky sexy times as well. I will definitely be going on in the series.

As you probably already know, I've been busy busy busy reading this series and LOVING it! I'm really eager to get back to it so I'll quickly summarize my thoughts for you and hope that you'll join me in loving these books too!
🐾 One sniff was all it took for Conn to know that he'd found his mate and he couldn't be more thrilled. Aside from Uri, I think he was the most excited to find his other half.
🐾 Conn's mate isn't as excited that he's found her. She and her family have lived in the Earth Realm all of their lives and although they knew other Immortals existed, they believed themselves some of the fiercest. That is until they're confronted with the Guardians and the wealth of power at their fingertips.
🐾 The mating couldn't be denied so while Dacia kept some of her secrets close, like those pertaining to her family and her protection of them, the sex was happening and it was frequent and it was phenomenal!
🐾 I loved the relationship Dacia shared with her brothers and sisters. Now that's what family is all about, even if her big brother was a bit over-the-top in his protective ways.
🐾 I admired Conn for how solidly he formed a connection with Dacia, despite her secrets. Her concerns were his concerns and he had no problem taking over the pack as Alpha.
🐾 Did I mention how incredibly hot Conn was? Loved this man and his flannel shirts, eyebrow piercings, telekinetic powers, and his overall strength. He was such a good man!

This series just gets hotter and the story keeps evolving and growing. Conn is some kind of Guardian. He knows Dacia is his mate, but gives her time to realize it without pressuring her no matter how much the mating frenzy is getting to him. Con and Dacia. Right from the get-go Con ain't having the bullshit drama his brethren have had. He’s not fighting anything but his lust for the lovely Dacia. He scents, seeks, and sets off to satisfy. I truly loved Con. He's sweet as he is strong, and patient and kind with a sexy, rugged quality ….. I think I hear Maroon 5! LOL

Just when I thought the author couldn't right a hotter male character, she proves me wrong. Conn, lordy, Conn. What woman wouldn't want a man who is patient, who is willing to curb his desire, to wait for his innocent mate, Dacia to adjust to the changes that she is experiencing. If you have read this series so far, you have learned that Guardians sexual needs are insatiable and when they are in a mating frenzy, it's worst, the ache not only takes over their bodies, but their thoughts. So for Conn, to do this is very admirable and makes his character even sexier.
But that's not all that is going on in this story. You have Vane and Brianne, from two different species who have mated and now are having trouble controlling their inner beasts. You have that crazy bitch Elizabeth, who is trying to screw everything up and so much more. I am really loving this series and so thankful to my Goodreads friend Pam, for introducing it to me.

Setta Jay writes some sexy books but damn, she outdid herself this time. Tempting Ecstasy had to be one of the hottest books I have ever read. I think before I pick up the next one I’m going to have to institute some rules. The first one being my significant other needs to be available afterward!
Conn went about winning his mate differently than the other guardians. He didn’t deny her or their bond, he embraced it. He also let it be her choice of when and where they would ahem…get the mating party started. He did not let fate take over and force her to be with him, he wanted to win her over with feelings, emotions, and actions. Needless to say, I loved everything about Conn.
Dacia was the youngest of a family of immortals in hiding on earth. Raised by her siblings, she was fiercely loyal to them no matter how crazy they drove her. She was smart, strong and worthy of Conn in every way.
Conn vowed not to touch her until she was ready to set off the mating heat, and she made him wait what felt like forever. Fortunately, he’s the king of dirty talkers and the sexual tension was so thick you could suffocate from it. The mutual gratification scene helped too…boy did it help.
The best part of this series is the fact that even being sexy as hell it has a storyline that goes well beyond the sex. There was lots of action, suspense and time with the others. I’m growing fond of these characters and their world and I can’t wait to immerse myself in the next one.

Holy Hot Wolf Guardian Batman!

I love paranormals, and of the mass amounts I've read, I've found that I tend to lean towards the wolfy males the most ;) Not sure why, but I guess I’m a wolf shifter girl all the way. With that said, it should be pretty obvious that once I found out Conn was the wolf shifting Guardian, I was most definitely wanting to read his book asap! So, when the author contacted me and offered a copy for review I squealed like a kid in a candy store and did a little jig in my computer chair. No joke. I read this book in about a day, and it only took me that long because of this stupid thing called a job ;)
I loved absolutely everything about Tempting Ecstasy! Conn was amazing and is still my #1 favorite Guardian. Even more so after reading his story! :) He was perfect. *dreamy sigh* He knew Dacia was his mate and, unlike the others, he gave her the choice of when they were to start the mating frenzy. It was hell for him, but he wanted her to trust him and to know that his intentions were serious and pure. Well, maybe not totally pure since all he could think about was which piece of furniture he could bend her over to do lots of dirty nasty things to her delectable body! ;) Swoon! Oh, and did I mention he's tattooed and pierced? Just his eyebrow, but that's still HOT! Dacia was quite a surprise too. She was a fiery little she-wolf that had no experience but was eager to learn. I liked her for Conn. They were a perfect match. I really loved everything in this book.
The main story of Conn and Dacia was definitely unputdownable. The secondary story of Brianne and Vane was also quite intriguing and I seriously need more on that! And the bad guy angle has me impatient for the next installment so I can see what the hell is gonna happen next! I need more, like yesterday! I liked all Dacia’s siblings and I’m hoping we’ll get to see some (ok all) of them find mates at some point. Speaking of… Omg Jax! I can’t decide if I want to punch him, jump him, lick him or all three! At the same time. ;) I really hope we see more of him very soon! My only complaint is that it’s over. Seriously. When I got to the 97% mark I found myself rereading lines just to slow the progress. I wasn't ready for it to end. Now I have to wait for the next one for however long that will take and I don’t even know who the next book is about! :( Oh please Ms. Jay hurry hurry hurry! :D
I have definitely found a new TOP favorite author. One I will be stalking to get more info on the next book ;) Her writing is definitely top notch and her imagination is enviable. I've always been interested in Mythology and I just love how she weaves her tales about the Gods and Goddesses and the Immortals. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys paranormal, super hot and steamy (and often times) kinky sex, or just a plain fabulous story. :-)
Now, what the hell am I supposed to read in the mean time???

Oh my yet another story that firmly pushes any and all boundaries. If there is a taboo anywhere in the world then it appears to this reader that Ms Jay is determined to find it and let her characters grind it into dust! This book is not for those seeking sweet romance but if you are prepared to need numerous cold showers whilst rushing back for just one more chapter then this hot instalment is for you!
The Guardians of the four realms are facing all manner of problems. They constantly fight the minions of the evil trio born to Apollo and his sister Artemis, it's their duty to protect humanity , one of their own is in a magical coma , Hades son has gone missing and to cap it all Conn has finally scented his Mate! He had hoped of course but never in his wildest dreams did he realise just how hungry for her he would be.
Dacia knows she is an Immortal but like her family has tried repeatedly to locate more like herself but to no avail. Now she's determined to be of value and not just as her sisters housekeeper and to that end she's found herself a home and a new mission. What she hadn't expected was for a sexy wolf to just appear and pronounce her his Mate! The attraction is insane but he refuses to touch her. Dacia's body needs him so much but can she trust him? Just who is this Immortal and what exactly isn't he telling her?
Love your heroes to be totally alpha , tall, pierced with tattoos and hot? Then allow me to introduce Conn. Except he's not the usual dominating bonehead no he's far more wily than that. He enjoys the chase ( well he is part wolf!) and he has watched his fellow Guardians almost succumb to the madness that the mating frenzy causes. Then of course there's the simple fact that Dacia is pure,innocent and has his inner wolf howling ! No Conn is about to seduce this female and boy is she a lucky lady!
Such an amazing series that simply goes from strength to strength. If you love paranormal and are quite partial to some serious hot loving then get these books. In this particular one there are two words that describe it perfectly "extended foreplay"! Ok you might need a minute to digest that and no doubt rub ice upon your neck or something because Ms Jay has her hands on the thermostat and it's set to maximum! The story arc continues to grow with action and mystery but we still are waiting for more answers . Sleeping Gods aside there's trouble as that thoroughly evil Elizabeth excels herself here and of course the poignant truth about the female Guardians and just why Brianne acted as she did but it's an ongoing situation so I need the next book! On the plus side for me this passionate and possessive couple don't share so finally I get the mating ceremony that I want!

First of all, I have LOVED each of the books in this series. This one by far was probably my favorite of them all!! Conn is the ultimate sexy alpha type male. He is sweet, caring, gentle, sexy, but also a bad ass fighter. If you liked the other books in this series you should love this one. It keeps you on your toes with anticipation and definitely delivers in the steamy erotic zone. Definitely a must read for anybody that enjoys books like the BDB. I can't wait for the next book to come out. I am a fan for life :)

I liked this one a lot. Mainly because Conn is yummy and has that whole lumersexual thing going on!
So here is the thing with these books. I started them because I was in to mood for a some PNR and some smut. My plan was to read a few and then move on to the massive list of books that I promised myself I would read before the end of July. I has off work from the 25 July until 1 August after having wisdom teeth surgery and me in all my wisdom (haha, see what I did there?) thought I'd get loads of reading and movie watching and house stuff done in that week.
It's been a rough week. This series saved my sanity. To be completely honest, I'm at the stage now where I could do without the smutty factor but I'm actually really enjoying the whole thing overall and every time I said to myself, 'This is the last one!' I got sucked in and had to start the next one to find out what happens next. It's very cleverly done and is basically the book equivalent of crack.

Still loving this series! But it has taken me until Book 4 to get to one of them that I didn't either really like or straight up love...
Dacia was the main reason why I didn't have a ton of love for this book. So far, most of the heroines have been funny, cute, sweet, sassy, or bad ass. Dacia wasn't really any of those things. She wasn't a particularly happy character and I had no problem with that, seeing as how she lost her parents at such a young age. But she also wasn't very brave and, to be honest, she didn't do very much. The only real descriptor that I can give her is "difficult" and that's because she was difficult for the hero. Dacia didn't trust anyone but her sisters, and again, I totally get that, but that made it impossible for me to like her. Here I am, in love with all of these Immortal Guardians and she's questioning their honor and purpose? Uh, no thanks. For me, Dacia wasn't even remotely likable until maybe the last few chapters and by then, it was a bit too late.
Another reason that I never warmed up to Dacia was because of Conn, the hero. I loved Conn! He was so sweet and cute and funny! In the previous books, he's always kind to the new ladies and he's always kind of got this smirk on his face that was somehow NOT smarmy. It seemed like he was just having a blast. Plus, he's got this sweet tooth and carries around a pack of cookies in his pocket and I tell ya, that totally floored me. Such an unusual little quirk but I loved him for it! So Dacia keeping him at arm's length bothered me. On the other hand, it showcased Conn's patience and his total devotion to doing the right thing. He let Dacia choose how long to hold out on the mating ritual and it made Conn even more amazing to me.
Since Dacia felt like a major stick in the mud, it should go without saying that I didn't love their relationship. Yes, there was plenty of Sexy Time after the 50 or 60% mark and it was really hot. All that build-up... but by the time they got down to business, I had no love for Dacia. I felt like she was just a major pain in the ass and I didn't really see a lot of redeeming qualities. Don't take that the wrong way though - she was a perfectly decent Immortal. But as a mate for an Immortal Guardian? I thought she fell way short of the bar that was set by the previous heroines, who were all awesome, bad ass women. The point is... the relationship between Dacia and Conn didn't do anything for me because I didn't care that they were together.
I didn't love this book but the writing was still spot-on. There was still a lot to like, what with all the shenanigans of the bad guys happening. Readers won't believe what the evil Elizabeth is up to now! My goodness, that is one crazy bitch! There weren't a lot of battles in this book, not a lot of action in general. There wasn't much, if any, humor either. The love story wasn't grand... it was more of a testament to will power and patience. And boy, doesn't THAT sound fun?? LOL! Even if this book was a bummer for me, I can't wait to start the next book in the series!

4 1/2 "So very tempting, I love wolves" Stars!
LOVED IT!! My favorite of the series so far. These two almost teased each other to death. I have never read where a couple had so many sexual encounters without even touching. It was hot, Hot, HOT!
I absolutely loved Conn. He's my favorite Guardian so far. He was so patient with Dacia and I loved how sweet and considerate he was to her sisters. Conn was a complete (dirty talking, kinky, dominant, wicked, possessive, sexy) sweetheart. Another male to add to the reasons why I will always and forever be a wolf girl. Dacia was a very good female lead. She actually fought her sexual frenzy in order to use her brain and THINK before she acted on her urges. Wow, what a concept. She was fiery and smart and loyal. I liked her a lot too.
The story-line in the series is actually picking up and becoming more interesting as the books go. It started out as almost all sex, but with characters I liked and wanted to see them find their mates. There's still A LOT of sex, but the stakes in the battle are getting higher. #Exciting! Remember the series must be read in order. Each book is about one main couple, but the storyline of the series started in book one and is continuing throughout. You will be completely lost if you jump in, in the middle of the series. (You'll still think it's hot though ;-))
Now, on to the cat- Jax. He has a herem :/ Piercing Ecstasy. I'm totally hooked on this series! Happy reading!!

Book 4 of the Guardians of the Realms series, Conn and Dacia's story.
This is my favourite book of the series so far. Dacia and her family have grown up on Earth because her parents ran there after escaping the labs of the evil Gods centuries before. Since her parents died before telling them about the Immortals and the other realms, they know little about it. When Conn turns up at Dacia's new home, she knows that her wolf wants him but she is wary of trusting him and is protecting her family.
Conn has known for a couple of weeks that Dacia is his mate but seeing how wary she is, he does not touch her to start the mating ritual, instead giving her time to get to know him and trust him. That doesn't mean he doesn't tell her all the dirty, dirty things he's going to do to her and wow, that ramped up the sexual tension in this book. After one of Dacia's brothers is almost killed and Conn saves him and her sisters, Dacia finally sees that she can trust him and agrees to the mating.
Meanwhile, things are not going well with Guardian duties, Elizabeth has taken over and has managed to get the "sleeping" Apollo, if he wakes, all hell will be let loose. Brianne and Vane are still unconscious and nobody knows what is going to happen when they wake.
I am really enjoying this series, not only is each book off the charts hot, the world building is fascinating too. Off now to read Jax's story, can't wait.

Tempting Ecstasy is an erotic fantasy that can be read as a standalone. However, I recommend reading the series in order to get a better idea of the story as there are a lot of characters and background information to wrap your head around.
This book is about Conn, a Guardian that can turn into a wolf, and Dacia. They can't fight the attraction, and the majority of the book is about them having sex everywhere.
I'm a bit more interested in some other characters in the series, but I'm glad that I had the chance to read this.

Enjoyed Dacia and Conn. Thought he would be more tech nerd but he was super alpha and steamy. Very considerate of his mate. I liked the h and her family ties. Ots nice to see more immortals being found.

Tempting Ecstasy is Book Four in the awesome Guardians of the Realms series by Setta Jay. From the beginning the books are beyond five on the OMG hotness scale and it just builds from there. Another exciting story in this series that weaves together strong spellbinding plots, phenomenal characters and lots of swoonworthy need some ice erotic scenes and sexual tension. Highly suggest you read the books in order to get the full experience and enjoyment from the series, you won't regret it.
I Love getting lost in the extraordinary worlds and mesmerizing realms created by the author. One of these realms is where all things immortal, paranormal, magical,and many other species of the authors imagination live. Her attention to details and continuity of these worlds and characters from book to book truly make this series an epic journey.
There Is a main background story that blends mythology, fantasy and the paranormal. Each book also progresses and reveals more of this thrilling main storyline. The Mythological Gods tampering and experimenting on the immortals leads to drastic measures. Now All immortals will be gifted with one true mate to complete each other (ahhh romantic) and be able to have offspring with.The trick is finding them, convincing them of who they are, and then keeping them.
Conn- our hero, incredibly sexy, gorgeous Alpha of all the wolf shifters. Beyond brave and loyal, goes seamlessly from crushing evil threats to helping orphan children and creating beautiful sculptures. He oozes sexiness and has the most delicious way of talking very naughty. Amazingly patient, especially when it comes to Dacia and his newly acquired,overly protective interfering in-laws (they are a wolf pack after all).
Dacia- our heroine, a spirited immortal wolf shifter with a bit "something" more to her powers. Just as she is gaining her independence from her overly protective family she is claimed by one impossibly attractive Guardian. Up until this point in her life Dacia has not met any other immortals besides her family and her work is about to do a 360 degree turnaround. She is an enjoyable, strong, heroine not afraid to face her feelings for Conn but needing to build some trust first. Lots of sparks on their journey to becoming fully mated, they make a great fit on many levels physically and mentally.
The secondary characters and storylines add depth and excitement to the main story. Many of these characters have played major roles in the previous books or will be the focus of future ones. I love how they interact with each other and form a strong close knit unit. They are fiercely loyal to one another and as with all families there is a good deal of fighting and humor. We really get to know and enjoy these awesome characters as their storylines are cleverly interwoven and expanded throughout the series. Being able to follow up with these characters and revisit with them is awesome.
Besides the sizzling sexual erotic wow scenes, there are lots of good vs evil scary thrilling scenes, adventure,never a dull moment excitement, twists and turns, romance and a plot that pulls you in and keeps you there.
Seriously read this book straight through (the night), love playing in this fabulous world Setta Jay has created and didn't want the book to end. Can't wait for Jax's story, hope it comes out soon.

This book is a guaranteed panty melter. Holy crap is it a hot one.
If you are easily offended by any of the following then this is NOT the book for you, move along and read something tamer. Hot alpha male, dirty talker, tattoos, voyeurism, super hot claiming sex, anal play, mutual masturbation, more super hot sex, telepathic sex, a smoke emitting and grunting dragon, more alpha males, tough kick ass women, a case of male on male on female, oh and lots and lots of foreplay.
Okay warning over, if you have made it pass the warning then you are in for a treat. This book was just awesomesauce. I devoured it in a sitting.
This is the fourth full length novel in the Guardians of the Realm series and each book just gets better and hotter. I’m a huge fan of this series and I was eagerly looking forward to Conn and Dacia’s story. But I was also looking forward to checking in with the other Guardians and their mates and I was not disappointed. They all make an appearance and some, read Gregoire, had me laughing till my kindle shook. You can read any of the books as a stand-alone but one you’ve had a Guardian you will crave more.
The biggest thing I loved about this book was Conn. There is just something about a big strong alpha that can learn a lesson that turns me on and Conn is a golden shining example of this. He’s learnt by the mistakes his brothers have made while “courting” their mates and he plans not to make any of the same mistakes they did. Even if this means not touching his mate till she has made the decision to accept him. Plus he calls her princess and it’s perfect. Cue the swoon.
“If I take off my clothes, I won’t stop there, and if I touch you, it’s over. Do you want me to claim you princess?”
I really loved Dacia too. She’s a kick ass heroine who is the perfect match for Conn. For Dacia a she-wolf living on earth with no knowledge of mating’s, pairs or solid knowledge of the world where her parents came from, everything is about to change. Her mate has scented her and is coming for her.
These two have chemistry to burn. Seriously the first half of the book is like extended foreplay and it’s HOT, HOT, HOT!!! They may not be touching but boy can they heat things up with just a few heated looks, words or mental images.

While there is lots of sex, there is also a lot of gentle moments of getting to know each other, interacting with the other Guardians and their mates and of course her sisters and brothers who on more than one occasion had me cracking up at their antics. When Dacia’s brothers get their arses handed to them on a plate by Conn, priceless. I hope we get to see more of them in future books. There is also the continuing sub storyline of Guardian Brianna and Vane, which continues to unfold.
If you love your paranormal hot, then this is the right series for you. I am already eagerly waiting for the next book in the series.

Guardian Conn has gotten a scent of his mate and now he can't wait to meet her. To get his hands on her. He has tracked her down and is finally getting his first glimpse of her beauty. Dacia and her family are immortals who have been quietly living on Earth and unaware of how many other immortals there are out there. She is taken completely by surprise by the beautiful creature standing in her him and claiming she is his. Where did he come from and why does she feel compelled to climb him.
Conn has his work cut out for him with Dacia, getting her to trust him and explain pretty much everything to her. But he is looking forward to it, despite how being so closer to her is sweet torture. Dacia is determined not to give into the mating frenzy until she knows more and completely trusts Conn. But there is only so much she can take before she caves.
There are so many things that I love about Conn. For one, I love how he embraced his mate. He didn't try to fight it or run from it. He was genuinely happy to have found Dacia. Even more than that, I really liked how patient he was with her. Conn understood how overwhelming everything was for her and had no problem waiting for her to get to a place where she felt safe and comfortable giving into the frenzy. Plus like all of Setta's heroes, he has a beautifully dirty mouth.
I also have to give Dacia credit for holding out as long as she did. It was the smart thing to get all the answers first, but there is no way I could have resisted Conn for that long. Or for more than 30 seconds really. When Dacia finally accepts it all and they get together - holy hotness Batman! Oh how I love Setta's dirty talking heroes! This series continues to be amazing and every book sucks me completely into this world. And the ending to this one? Gah! Now I can't wait for Jax's story which is coming soon.

Alright, first, I need to apologize to Setta Jay for not posting this review in a timely manner. It seems like I read this forever ago (and I think it was actually September--fyi, GR says Oct 4). So...
I don't know that there is a whole lot I can say that I haven't said before. I love this series! Setta Jay has some serious talent. With each book, she pulls me further into this world. I think she's also getting kinkier with each book.
I do have to admit, Conn is hot and, yeah, I would totally do him but he's not my favorite and he doesn't give me lady boners like Dorian and Jax do.
That aside, I liked Conn & Dacia's story. They play off of each other so well. The part where they meet is my favorite. Telepathy seems like such a fun thing to play with. I loved that Conn didn't deny the mating and that he let Dacia decide when. But gah! The sexual tension here was through the roof. I don't know how the hell those two held out so long, but dang, it was worth it in the end.
With the overall story line that runs throughout the series, we got a little bit more information, but I was still left with questions that I hope I get answers to soon.
The one question that stays on my mind -- Where can I get some of that magical ass cream?
And now I'm patiently waiting...

The title was very fitting, indeed, and one of the very reason I liked this one. Well, I know it was all an oo-kay read for me from the other books but I’ve actually gotten to love this series. I’m still having some issues but well, let’s discuss what enthralled me first.
So, the title. I love the temptation and the way Conn and Dacia danced around with the inevitable. They know they’re going to be mated and that they are fated for each other, but the restraint they have to put with themselves and the sexual tension, it was staggering and it was enjoyable for me.
I love both their personalities and that I love that I am able to get to know more of the Guardians, too. I have come to like the family and some I am not still familiar with, but somehow I am excited for their story, too.
The fights and the violence, I love those. This is indeed one action-packed novel. But as same with my issues with the rest of the series, it is my pet peeve when there is so much sex as I termed it. I mean, you can never go wrong with hot scorching sex but really, it get on nerves when there’s that in every down time. They’re hot and all, but I wanted to be in the action more. I guess I’m just picky or whatever, but that’s really a low for me in action-packed-mystery-something-whatever series. Also, when it’s multiple POVs, I’m not really particular with the villain. I really don’t want to know what they want or what their needs are but to know what ticks them and pisses them off is enough for me. Sometimes, all I’m focused about are what the ‘heroes’ needs and wants are, their dilemma and their problem.
But well, as I’ve already mentioned, I have already love this series and I am onto the next book as fast as I can be able to.
