Anna Gallegos is an author of the horror genre who isn't very good at writing author bios but will try to make herself seem a tad bit interesting. She grew up with a love of books and developed a love for writing in the fourth grade. Born in Florida on August 9th, 1996, Anna had a liking for slasher movies and books at a very young age and thankfully not actually slashing people.

As I have mentioned before I love a good anthology (movie/book). The stories are usually short, well paced and hard hitting in a short amount of time. Where you can read a novel and end up not liking the story an anthology always offers the better chance of finding a story you will like. "Twisted" through me for a loop, when I found that most of the stories just blew me away (not that the others weren't good). As I mentioned in my 'notes' "Outbreak" started the book with a bang, followed by a series of short stories that were relentless, "Haunted" was another one that the end was chilling to say the least. "Cool Kids" was scary in that it had a sense of "could really happen" to it and "Ugly" had a touch of my favorite Sci-fi book "Childhood's End". I think there are over 25 stories, that go from better than good to outright excellent story telling. The last story "The Song of Mastema" was a great ending to the book. Can I recommend reading "Twisted" by Anna Gallegos, I sure can, especially if you are new to fast reading Scary/Horror stories, "Twisted" will open a whole new genre to you

I very rarely read shorts

I used to never read shorts, but lately I've been trying to read a little bit of everything. I don't even recall how I got this book, maybe it was a free download? Anyways, I found that a short story while in between books is a good mind changer. So I read this book in spurts. And a couple stories stuck with me. I liked the story about the carnival and the mental patients. I also liked the story where a girl is being followed. Some of the shorts had some nice twists to them. I didn't love every story. But I liked most of them. It actually started kinda blah, and I almost put it down. But if I got to a story that I didn't like, then I just skipped over it. I ended up enjoying a lot of these stories.

I was hesitant about reading this book because I'm no horror fan. But this one got me hooked! I didn't expect to love it. It's worth all the nightmares, believe me.

Good stories filled with bad grammar and spelling errors.

If you enjoy short horror stories and can overlook errors, this is the book for you. This author has an absolutely devastating imagination. If you are a fan of happy endings, stay away!
