This book just didn’t do it for me. It read like it was thrown together last minute. Monique and Jasper “love” story lacked everything that makes one swoon for a paranormal romance story. Their story lacked the emotional build up. I never even bought into them being fated mates, just two emotionally crippled, transactional roommates.
It’s honestly hard for me to dislike anything Melody Lynch writes, and this was no exception! This was such a beautiful, magical tale, especially getting to experience the idea of being mated to a Gargoyle. It opened my eyes to yet another fascinating being within this beautiful, mystical realm.
I absolutely loved watching Jasper find his match and seeing how naturally everything unfolded between him and Nique. Their story flowed so well, and I was completely invested in their journey. And as far as I’m concerned, everyone got exactly what they deserved—which made for an amazing and satisfying ending!
Another magical read from Melody Lynch that I thoroughly enjoyed!
This was a really good 😊 short read. I don’t blame Monique to stay in the big scary 😱 house 🏠 with Jasper. Because what is more scary 😨 than if some men find you (A hoe) and unalive you? Nobody cares b/c once an again you’re a worker girl of the night 🌙 and we all know Gorilla did not care about Monique the way he abused her soon she turned 18yr. I’m so glad 😌 Jasper protected her.
Good story, loved the characters and storyline. Even though she went through hell, I'm glad Monique got away and found Jasper, the love she needed. They helped each other heal from the misery they suffered. I just wish she was younger and they could have a family.
This was a great book, I didn't want it to end. To see the growth of Jasper and Monique overcome pain and find strength in each other. Plus it was nice to see fav characters pop up.
I almost feel like a three star is being generous.. some parts dragged out too long, while others felt rushed. I got to like 80% and was like I should've dnf'd
