One date with the sexier-than-sin Detective Drake Nash. Simple.

Until you take into account that my brother finally proposed to his girlfriend, so Nonna is on a warpath—and the crazy old bat has Cupid by the balls.

The upcoming mayoral elections has everyone running on full speed, and while I couldn’t give any less craps about the corrupt Holly Woods mayor’s office, a dead body in the middle of a campaign speech has me thrown right into the middle of it. The victim is close to the mayor, but all he cares about is minimizing the damage to his campaign, so he hires me to work alongside Drake to close the case as quickly as possible.

Bad news for our tentative relationship.

We disagree far more than we agree, but being at loggerheads won’t get this murder solved… Or deal with the arrival of someone from his past.
The mysteries behind the murder aren’t the only things unraveling, and despite being knee-deep in lies and corruption and bonds so tangled they’re almost indecipherable, I have to figure out if I’m willing to fight for Drake the way I do justice…
Or if he’ll be my one who gets away.

Emma Hart has done it again...she got us all twisted and tangled up with her newest release Tangled Bond. I swear Emma Hart has bewitched us once again when she reunites us with our beloved feisty cupcake addict, Noelle Bond and of course her partner in crime, Detective Drake Nash. If you thought Twisted Bond was fun, sexy, and mysterious then I have to warn you that Ms. Hart took Tangled Bond to a whole new level of sexy, fun, and intriguing romantic suspense. She has once again engaged her readers to be truly invested in the characters as layers of truths, secrets, and evidence are slowly exposed and unraveled as to reveal in another case of whodunit.

#tangledBond

Move over, James because there is a new Bond on the scene. And her name is Noelle Bond. Well, in this case Noelle is no secret British agent spy but a private investigator in Holly Woods, Texas. And this private investigator has another case that she is deeply invested in when she gets recruited to help solve a murder case. And so, Noelle is once again tangled up in this case and of course tangled up with her favorite detective. If we thought, Noelle and Drake chemistry was hot in the first book then I will have to warn you, Ms. Hart took the sexy level up several notches. With strong sexual passionate chemistry brewing between the two, it was only a matter of time for Noelle to be once again tangled up in the sheets with Drake. And this time, Drake made it his mission to remind Noelle that she is his. The chemistry brewing between them is an intense sexy slow burn kind of sexual foreplay that usually involves banter and sexual innuendos. As this couple embarked on their heated chemistry and banter, will Noelle will able to uncover the person responsible for the crime?

Tangled Bond was simply outright fun, delectable, sexy, and intriguing!!! I loved that Ms. Hart can weave romance, suspense, and mystery all into this story. The writing was so engaging that you couldn't help but fall in love with Noelle's quirky family members from Nonna, her parents, and siblings!!! And of course, I loved the love/hate relationship of Noelle and Drake. Nothing like hot sexual tension and banter to keep readers engaged!!! So if you are ready to get tangled up in a chock full of surprising twist and turns and suspense, then I highly recommend you to read Tangled Bond by Emma Hart.

The Good:

- Drake was so deliciously alpha! He knew from page one he wanted Noelle and went after her for the rest of the book. He never wavered and didn't let her inability to see how perfect they are for each other or her insecurities come in the way. They fought like cats and dogs throughout the book and I liked seeing a heroine who could hold her ground and not turn into a stuttering mess in front of the alpha male.

The Bad:

- Ex drama.

- For my safety gang members who don't like manhos Drake mentioned he whored around in the past but thankfully it wasn't brought up again.

-HOLY SHIT. I was just about to write how I don't like how they never said "I love you" to each other and I didn't get a epilogue...well I just went and checked to see who book 3 is about and FUCK-this is a fucking trilogy!! I have to take a star off for not making that transparent in the blurb. This kinda just ruined everything. I don't want to start a damn trilogy in the middle! Uggggghhhhhh.

Edit: And from the sound of the blurb for book 3 it looks like it'll have some major ex drama so no thanks I'm out.

Tangled Bond by Emma Hart is the continuation of Noelle and Drake’s attempt at love and, of course, follows murder and mystery in Holly Woods, Texas. Let me say, for a small Texas town, they sure have some crazy hanky-panky and secrets going on…and I love it!

Every small town has secrets and Holly Woods is no different. This time, the duo is attempting to figure out whodunit, and the list of suspects includes some mighty influential people.

I should probably tell you, the sheer number of cupcakes consumed while reading this series is obviously linked to the story. Also, get your dialing finger ready for some pizza action! Hello foodie :)

I will refrain from calling Drake insufferable this time because, like Noelle, I find his parts oh, so yummy. I could just eat him up! Her sass is awesome and fun and she kept me laughing. Now I’m wondering what Emma has up her sleeve next?!?! ~ Heather, 5 stars

~~~
Drake and Noelle are back to solve another murder…and also to try and figure out what is going on between them. Noelle promised one date to Drake, and he will collect on that date even if Noelle puts up a fight about it.
This book is full of mystery and romance. Noelle and Drake heat up the pages even more in Tangled Bond, all while a new murder hits the town of Holly Woods.
Emma Hart leaves you guessing with who killed who and who did what. I was left surprised by who did it. I had no idea. I’ve never really been into mystery books until this series. I love Emma’s writing and can’t wait to read more about Drake and Noelle in the future. ~ Leah, 5 stars
~~~

Well, hot damn! The snap-crackle-pop of the relationship between super sexy Drake Nash and the beautiful, smart, snarky Noelle Bond just gets better and better.

After recently dealing with two murders, one would think life would settle back down to normal shenanigans in Holly Woods, Texas. You know, normal like Noelle’s Nonna setting her up on blind dates, Noelle’s brothers driving her crazy, Noelle’s Mom and Nonna arguing over stupid stuff, Noelle’s PI business following cheating spouses, Noelle ignoring Drake. Oh, wait, all this does happen along with yet another murder. And, of course, it’s one of Noelle’s clients.

With the upcoming Mayoral election, the incumbent Mayor wants this murder solved and quickly. Hired to work alongside of the police department, Noelle is forced to work with Drake and her brothers until the murder is solved.

Noelle is completely out of her league. Arguing every day with Drake, Noelle doesn’t know whether she’s coming or going—but somehow Drake finally convinces her to go on their date. And let the sparks fly. Neither one can resist the other, but are all the arguments worth it? Are they willing to fight their way into a true relationship?

Oh man, these two I want to both cheer on and smack upside the head. Noelle and Drake are both hard headed and hard lovin’. Their interactions with each other and their friends and family are both hilarious and tender.

I loved how Drake was really the “adult” in their relationship this time. He really helped lead Noelle through her misgivings and out of her head. Can’t wait to see what Ms. Emma has up her sleeve for these two next! ~ Missy, 4.5 stars

I love this series!
So much fun, a bit silly, fabulous murder/mystery stories and a hot romance to boot.
Noelle and Drake's banter is amazing.
Just brilliant!

“You know what? No. The mayor can kiss my freshly waxed vagina. I’m not putting myself through his shit because you’ve got your cock up your own ass.”

***

“Noelle—”
“I want you,” I whisper. “God only knows why. But I do.”
He smiles, sliding his hand up my back and into my hair. “Sweetheart, you’ve got me.”

***

"I’m gonna protect you, whether you like it or not. I’m not afraid to stake my claim where dicks like him are concerned. One-up me on solving murders every day of the week, but don’t be mad at me for doing what feels right. Nothing matters more to me than protecting you, bella."

***

'You never, ever wake a sleeping woman. Not even for sex. If we want sleepy sex, we initiate it. The last time my ex tried to have sleepy sex with me, I elbowed him on reflex and the whole Dallas PD thought he’d been hit in the face with a tree. Again: not responsible.

Bahahaha. Can't wait to read book three. Drake's crazy ex is messing with the wrong girl.

He makes me weak. He makes me completely and utterly soft. He cuts through my hard outer shell until he's found the softness inside, and he takes hold of that and doesn't let go. He forces emotions I don't want to feel and realities I don't want to exist. Drake Nash makes me a coward.

What a fantastic follow up to Twisted Bond! Emma Hart has once again knocked it out of the park!

Tangled Bond picks up right where Twisted Bond picks up. It's just another day in the life of Noelle Bond. And what would another day be like without being put on another crazy case. And if a new case wasn't enough, Noelle will find herself once again teamed up with Detective Nash. This new case has got so many twists and turns, you're head will spin. You better strap on your seat-belts for this one, because you are in for one entertaining ride.

Tangled Bond had me hooked from the first page. I couldn't put it down. I loved every second of it. This story is intense, thrilling, and suspenseful. As if that wasn't enough to hook you, Emma Hart really kicks up the swoon and steam factor. If you thought the chemistry between Noelle and Drake was HOT before, you are in for a real treat this go round. The two of them together are scorching. I mean, they are melt the pages HOT!

Noelle and Drake continue their love/hate relationship. The two them are complete opposites, but once you get them together, it's an explosive mix. When they aren't fighting each other or cursing each other out, they give you so of the most amazing, swoon worthy moments. Those moments will have you begging for them to stop fighting their attraction and give into what they both know they want...The intensity in his gaze quite frankly takes my breath away. It's hope and resolve and desire and steadfast determination mixed with the kind of protective warmth I know I'll never see again. It's the way you're only ever looked at once in a lifetime. "I want to be yours." My words are so quiet, and I stroke my thumb down the side of his neck. "I want it so badly." "Then be mine," he murmurs. "It's that simple, bella." "Make me, " I murmur back."Make me yours." If you weren't in love with these two before, this surely secured the deal.

I just loved Drake. He really kicked things up a notch. Criminals do not stand a chance with him. I mean not only is he one smart detective, but he is exactly the right man for Noelle. He is strong, determined, passionate and 100% alpha. "I want more with you," he growls. "Even if it means we threaten to kill each other ten times a day and argue fifty. That's your definition of love. Hate so passionate it's real and tangible. And sweet shit, Noelle, I hate the fuck outta you more often that I think I even like you." As much as Noelle may want to deny it, Drake is her match. He accepts her how she is and loves the challenges she throws his way. And Noelle, she just cracks me up. I love her wit and her fiesty attitude. It's never a dull moment with her. When she say lines like this: "Nonna, I love you, but no woman needs a man. We already get periods--why the hell do we need something else in our life that's going to force us to eat copious amounts of icecream?" or this: Holy Shit. I sound like a fucking thirteen-year-old hypothosizing about a cute boy who glanced her way in the middle of math. Does he like me? Was he looking at me? OHMYGOD what if he was? I need to seriously screw my head on tight and clamp up my vagina or this date is a bust--mostly because Drake Nash will own me entirely. It's hard to not love her.

What can I say about Tangled Bond? Tangled Bond is one of those books you go into knowing it's going to be an amazing read. Not only is this book sexy, but the writing is smart and the characters are very entertaining. You can't help but get caught up in them, especially Noelle's crazy family members. They are a riot! I couldn't get enough of it. I for one am hooked and can not wait to see what lies ahead for Noelle, Drake and the rest of the Bond's. But, hey, you don't have to take my word for it. Read it for yourself and see why Tangled Bond is such a fantastic read. You won't be disappointed.

I really enjoyed the previous book in this series but I liked this one even more. My biggest complaint with the first book was the lack of focus on the romance but thankfully the focus was more on Noelle and Drakes relationship in this one!

Noelle was still a pain in the arse but not as much as in the previous book. She was a bit more vulnerable emotionally in this one which softened her character which I was glad about. Drake was perfect. He was grumpy, sexy and chased her. Y'all know I need a hero who chases! I really enjoyed them together. They have one of those relationships where they drive each other CRAZY and constantly fight but it's not real fighting and it's because they have such strong feelings for each other. That whole "do I want to punch you or kiss you?" thing they have going on reminds me of my husband & I so much.

I didn't care about the crime all that much, it was just there to be honest. It didn't annoy me like the last one but I just wasn't that interested. I'm glad it didn't take up too much of the story.

The sad thing is that as much as I've enjoyed their story I'm going to have to say goodbye to this couple in this book because I won't be reading the third book about them because the drama in it is about his ex who makes an appearance in this one. He doesn't have any feelings whatsoever for her but she's a bitch and does my tits in. I don't want to read about ex drama I'm afraid. Plus as much as I trust Drake and his lack of feelings I don't trust that the author won't mess it all up in the third book. I HATE EX DRAMA.

So in my head this book is the end. And it ends happily so my head is happy.

Such a tangled web Ms. Hart wove! I'm one hundred percent hooked on the "Bond" books. This second book was just as involved as the first with more of everything I could have hoped for. Friendship, romance, an intriguing mystery, and a heaping dose of humor.

Heat level was around a 5 out of 10. Humor a 10 out of 10. The characters, complex and very well written. It's like they are my new best friends. Emma Hart is a truly talented author.

Over all, a captivating mystery with passion, corrupt politics, and a real-life love story that resonates deep into your bones. I'm hooked. On to the next book.

Ahhh!!! Can we change the title? Remove the Tangled and make it Cupcake Bond or Tangled Cupcake Bond or... I don't know but the cupcake seriously needs to be in the title!

I swear the Holly Wood Files is going to make me crave cupcakes every time I read this series! And you know what's the tragic part? I don't have Gigi's Cupcakes! CUPCAKES ARE NOT EASILY AVAILABLE HERE!!! What do I do about my craving now?!

But seriously, if you for a second thought that Twisted Bond was fun, sexy and got you twisted in all its mystery then you are in for a surprise because, Tangled Bond will leave you tangled in its intricate web which is the perfect blend of sexy, sassy, romance and the mystery that will leave you reeling.

You thought figuring out the killer in the first book was hard? HA!! in this book Emma Hart makes it damn near impossible! I mean HELLO!!! Can I get one of the suspects/killer right?!

"I want more with you," he growls.
"Even if it means we threaten to kill each other ten times a day and argue fifty. That's your definition of love. Hate so passionate it's real and tangible. And sweet shit, Noelle, I hate the fuck outta you more often that I think I even like you."

*sigh* Hart's Heroes are so damn easy to fall in love with! Every single one of them! And Detective Drake Nash is no less.
No matter how much Noelle denies Drake is the man for her and he is not afraid to tell her that. He is strong, stubborn, passionate, and a true alpha-male.
If Noelle was a real person and if she would have still been fighting off the attraction between her and Drake, I would have told her that Drake is mine! But then this heartfelt moment happens and I your heart can't help but stutter and race <3

"I want to be yours." My words are so quiet, and I stroke my thumb down the side of his neck.
"I want it so badly."
"Then be mine," he murmurs.
"It's that simple, bella."
"Make me, " I murmur back."Make me yours."

And then Nonna + Noelle = SASS OVERLOAD!! As if their wit and feisty attitude isn't enough to handle one at a time, them clashing together ends up them having such conversations:

"Nonna, I love you, but no woman needs a man. We already get periods--why the hell do we need something else in our life that's going to force us to eat copious amounts of icecream?"

Tangled Bond is a fun and sexy read and the intricacies and mystery makes it an enjoyable read. I highly recommend the Holly Wood Files Series to everyone! You won't be disappointed!

~ 4 I Still Want Cupcake Stars ~

This review is going to be on the shorter side and also quite vague, because of the nature of the storyline I don't want to spoil anything for anyone.

Tangled Bond is the second book in Emma Hart's Holly Woods Files Series. This is NOT a standalone novel, you do need to read Twisted Bond first. Now with me saying that each case is solved by the end of each book, but where this is not a standalone is when it comes to Drake and Noelle. This is definitely a continuation of their storyline.

I truly have mixed feelings about this book. I really enjoyed most of the storyline, but I think something got lost in it from the first book. This is really hard to explain without spoiling anything. I guess the best way to put it is, that going into this book I knew that we would get more of Drake and Noelle's relationship, but I thought it overpowered the story. After reading Twisted Bond, I was in love with this series, because this was something completely different from Emma. I thought the primary focus of the books in this series was going to be the mystery cases that Noelle and Drake would solve. I felt that in this book the mystery aspect of the story took a back seat to the love story and I guess I was a little disappointed. I LOVE all of Emma's books but I felt this one went back to feeling like her other books and not like the different path book 1 went on. I never thought I would say this, but I wanted less of Drake and Noelle's love story and more focus on the mystery.

Now don't get me wrong, I did really like this story and the mystery that needs to be solved was unique and interesting. I loved that Emma kept me guessing all the way through. I NEVER would've guessed the ending. I did also like to see Drake and Noelle form a stronger bond, but to be honest all the back and forth bickering and Noelle fighting her feelings was starting to wear on me. Between Noelle and Drake, I have to say I love Drake more. I loved his character in this book more than in book 1. We got to see the softer side to him without losing the possessive side as well. I just wish Noelle would've woken up to her feelings towards him a little sooner in the story.

So before I spoil anything, I will end this here and say that this was a good second book in this series, Book 1 is still my favorite, but I look forward to the journey Emma takes us on in the next book.

If you are an Emma Hart fan you definitely should read this series!!

Oh my freaking life, EMMA.....MRS HART.....EM.... PLEASE..... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, I BEG YOU, LET ME LIVE INSIDE YOU HEAD? OR YOUR COMPUTER? OR NOTEBOOK? OR ANYWHERE SO I CAN SEE HOW YOUR TALENTED MIND CREATES SUCH OUTSTANDING BOOKS! I JUST.....I CAN'T EVEN GET OVER THIS SERIES!!!!!! RUINED! ABSOLUTELY RUINED!!!

After reading Twisted Bond and falling head over heels in love with that bloody gorgeous, infuriating man- Mr Drake Nash and that feisty HILARIOUS Texan-Italian- Noelle Bond, I just knew that this series was going to be so special! But if you thought Book 1 in this series was amazing, then you seriously are about to have your world well and truly blown to pieces!

The continuation in this series brings a brand new case for Noelle and the pain in her ass, hella sexy, Drake, with new wild turns and jaw dropping twists that will have you thinking you actually are an FBI agent because you fall so hard into this world Emma Hart has created, you involve yourself personally and imagine you are these characters!
The suspense will just blow your damn mind! Once you think you work out 'whodunit', you will want to kick your own ass for even trying to guess!!! The humour in the book is written so well, because it doesn't take away the seriousness of the suspense with I just think it GENIUS work!
These books would make one hella awesome TV Series! Every scene that I read played out so perfectly and vividly in my mind, and that is the amazing thing about this author, she captures you with such intensity, depth and a whirlwind of emotions completely unique to her writing style and charm!

Noelle and Drake continue their love/hate relationship which seriously is just the freaking best thing ever!!!! Their chemistry is ultimately OUTSTANDING, EXPLOSIVE AND WILD!!! The hysterical quick witted banter just puts the frosting on top of the cupcake......see what I did there???? You fall head over heels in love with both characters all over again, as well as the family. They are just as pivotal in this book as they were the first, the protective brothers, the friends and Nonna, THAT WOMAN IS HI-FREAKING-LARIOUS! And she quite simply is bat shit crazy and make you laugh even harder!
Emma Hart has also flipped the steam factor and sexual tension up to 'kindle melting, panty dropping, ovary combusting HOT'. Mary Mother of Jesus.....

This book is without a doubt my favourite Emma Hart book to date! She set a brand spanking new challenge writing a Romantic Suspense series, and in Stevie Wonder style she has SIGNED, SEALED and DELIVERED what can only be described as a literary masterpiece! I devoured this book, I lived this book and I felt this book from start to finish!

5+++ STARS!!!!!!!!

This was another fun, edge of my seat read. I was a little closer to figuring out who did it in this one, but that didn’t even matter. I was so distracted by the awesomeness that is Noelle and Drake that it didn’t matter what was happening with the mystery. I mean I wanted it solved, but I didn’t want the book to end. I am Team Droelle all the way. I cannot wait to read the next one, but I have review books that are due, so I’ll have to wait a little while. I’m hoping that we might get to see Noelle’s best friend Bek and Noelle’s brother Brody hook up at some point. I think they would be awesome together. I’m crossing my fingers that my wish comes true. But in the meantime, I’ll just keep loving these books and eventually I’ll have to try more by Emma Hart.

Emma Hart's stories keep getting better and better. It's always very easy to fall in love with her characters and their story. In Tangled Bond, Noelle and Drake are back and even better than the first time around. A fun and sexy read that keeps you guessing, what's going to happen next. It's written well and Emma Hart does a great job at writing a perfectly balances story that will hold your attention till the end. Not only will you love both Noelle and Drake, you'll be thoroughly entertained by all of the side characters. I highly recommend Tangled Bon but remember it's book two in the Holly Woods Files series so be sure to read book one "Twisted Bond" first.

Ok. I'm really diggin' Noelle Bond.

Again, her cupcake obsession is a bit over the top, and her threats to shoot pretty much anyone get a little eye-roll worthy, but she is the right blend of strong and feminine. Living in a profession that is saturated by males, she usually comes out on top.

I am ecstatic that the relationship between her and Drake is moving forward without too many roadblocks. Otherwise, that would get eye-roll worthy, too.

I look forward to reading how this author progresses the characters. Hopefully the series stays fresh and fun.

Noelle and Drake are the perfect team. And then add the meddling grandma this story is gold. It was great going back to Holly Woods and solving another murder with Noelle and Drake and the others. They all made this story great. I loved it. Noelle is a girl after my own heart. I just can't wait to continue with this series. 💜

"Whoa - who let Mom and Nonna out on day release together?" Dad snorts from his chair in the corner. "Satan got bored."

Are you ready for another round of Satan jokes, Italian passion, small town drama and sexy cupcake action?
Well I sure am. the first book got me curious where it would lead, I thought she would continue with Brody's story, but she is continuing Noella's. Just as well. I don't care, the snark is still the same. I liked this one a bit more to be honest, it had drama (of course it did), small town problems (duh) and this time I almost fell of my stepper because I laughed my ass off when she compared her balls to Nash's. Brilliant humor. Dry. Dark at times. Funny.

In this book another drama shakes Holly Woods, and again, Noella does not have a filter. Fucking filter. Where is it when I need it? Oh yeah. It saw wine and got thirsty.
She is too busy drinking wine and stuffing her face with cupcakes, so she is able to solve this case. Maybe the wine gives her superpowers or what the heck, though she is one of the best PI's there are. The police department agrees even if they are at each others throats alsmot 24/7 - the storyline made me curious who was the killer, this time I could actually suspect it, but the motif threw me off :o small town drama like I said. Hollywoods.

HOWEVER, there is progress in their relationship - ulala. I wish I'd find out what happened in Dallas but I guess that was not the right time, or it is simply 'What happens in Dallas stays in Dallas'

I liked this one - I may even adapt a bit of her zero-fucks-given-attitude cause that can always come in handy.
Cheeky Cheers ;)

What an amazing next installment in the Holly Woods Files Series by Emma Hart! I loved this book and read it in one sitting!

Tangled Bond picks up after Twisted Bond ends and has Noelle ignoring Drakes request for a date. When he storms into his office and demands the date she promised him 2 weeks ago things definitely get heated between the two. I love how neither of these characters put up with each-others crap and seem to always be at odds with one another, but at the same time the sexual chemistry between them is out of this world.

Like Twisted Bond, Tangled Bond revolves around another murder mystery in Holly Woods. This time it is more of a high profile murder and again Noelle's client is the one that has been killed. This time though instead of fighting the PD (aka Drake and her brother's) each and every day to get information, she's a part of the investigation, which only complicates her and Drake's relationship.

Things definitely get interesting in this book. I was guessing every chapter who was responsible for the murder and just when I thought I had it figured out, BAM that theory would get thrown out. I loved how I was left guessing all the time and wasn't able to figure out who was responsible till the very end. Not only did it make for an amazing story, but it definitely kept me on my toes throughout the book.

Tangled Bond is 10000x more sexier and hotter than Twisted Bond. I am swooning hard core over Detective Drake Nash! How can you not love this man?! He's hot, caring, alpha, and is an equal to Noelle in every way that counts. These two drive each other nuts, but I did enjoy how Drake put himself out there for Noelle. I had a feeling before the end of Twisted Bond that he cared, and that things weren't just a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am, and in Tangled Bond you see it really wasn't.

There is so much in this book that I couldn't help but fall in love with! The story is amazing, suspenseful and it kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters are beautifully written and one minute I wanted to scream and throw my Kindle, the next Noelle or her grandma or anyone in the book would have me laughing out loud.

Tangled bond is the perfect mixture of everything you could want in a book: Hot alpha male, crazy chemistry, suspense that will have you biting your nails, and break out moments of laughter! This is a definite must read, and this series is definitely on my top of 2015 so far! I can't wait till the next book comes out so I can get my Drake and Noelle fix and see what trouble Noelle gets herself into this time!

Definitely pick up this series today. You will not regret it! Emma Hart has a way of making you forget everything else that is going on around you and just get immersed into the story she is telling you. If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would be rating it as high as I could!

There are a good many reasons why I am digging The Hollywood Files books by Emma Hart. We will get to all of those amazing reasons in a minute but first I want to touch on how each book works. Each book is a mystery to be solved and also it looks like in each book Noelle lets her wall down a little more to allow, the fantastically alpha, Drake inside just a smidgen more; which I happen to greatly enjoy! So each book has it’s complete own little mystery that is solved at the end and the romantic aspect continues to progress from one book to the next and you also get to know Noelle’s family more and more which is just completely wackadoodle.

Which brings us to my very favorite thing about this book! It is funny as hell! I mean all of Emma’s books are funny because her heroines are usually super snarky and sassy but these really take the cake as far as funny Emma Hart goes. The dialogue is laugh out loud hilarious and so are the inner workings of Noelle’s mind. I just love her to pieces!
Sweet baby Jesus on horseback!

OK, so Noelle and the funny are only half the reasons I love this series. Another huge reason is Detective Drake Nash. The man is smoking hot and so alphalicous. Seriously, he gets way mean sometimes and I faareaking love it! But he makes up for it with plenty of sweet. Swoon, ladies, swoon!

Drake Nash is a walking, talking, highly irritating, spectacular kissing machine.

Oh and he can dirty talk like a beast! I just love him!

I think he has my clitoris on speed dial.

Yep, I love me some Drake, but I also love Noelle’s family. Her brothers and their bantering and sweetness, her grandmother who is as looney as a bed bug. Her sweet and protective dad. The whole thing is stinking adorable and ridiculous and cute and funny.

“Holy shit. Is your family secretly the inspiration behind Jersey Shore?”

So, you have this wonderful family bond, a sexy romance, so many laughs, and then you throw in a heck of a mystery and I am sold. This is a great series and I am really glad that it is not over yet. I am ready to solve my next mystery and have some more alone time with Mr. Drake Nash! Another great book from Emma Hart!

Tangled Bond is the second book in Emma Hart’s new series ‘Holly Woods Files”, and CANNOT be read as a standalone. We have met Noelle and Drake in book one, Twisted Bond, and their explosive, I-love-to-hate-you relationship, continues in this novel—picking up where book one left off.

Noelle and Drake are as explosive as ever together, and fight more than they get along, yet, their chemistry is palpable and undeniable. While Drake know what he wants—Noelle; she is struggling with her feelings for him. Yet, avoiding is only working for so long before Drake has enough and, like always, barges into her life without asking. The fact that we still don’t know what happened to her in Dallas, and the reasons why she is so hesitant to accept all that Drake is offering, is equally frustrating and intriguing.

Emma Hart sure knows how to keep us hooked on the story. The chemistry, that was sizzling in book one, has been taken to a whole other level in this book. Drake and Noelle together are volatile, and Drake doesn’t miss an opportunity to remind Noelle just how hot they are.

Emma Hart takes us on another suspenseful journey that again involves mystery, murder, suspense, deceit, and a whole lot of sexy and funny exchanges between the characters. Especially the relationship between Noelle and her Nonna is entertaining, and a big part why I love this series. I cannot get enough of Drake and Noelle. Emma Hart is one of the few who manages to skillfully combine mystery, suspense, and romance into one fun, intriguing, heartfelt, and sexy read. I highly recommend this series!

Just going to go on record right now before I continue reading: why is nearly every Jessica in the fictional world a bitch, antagonist, the bad guy, etc? The only exceptions I have found are in Meg Cabot's Mediator series and at least a neutral one in one of JM Sevilla's Marked books. Just...why?

EDIT:
Now that I've finished...I've got to say: the first book was a little better. That doesn't mean this book was bad or anything. It's just that the first book was more riveting. I ended up cheating on this book for another one. It's to be expected that the transition from Noelle and Drake constantly hating and fighting each other to "sort of dating" to "officially dating" would be...awkward, I guess. It was in no way the author's fault how Noelle's thoughts about Drake and their relationship were redundant; it's only logical.
Maybe my bigger issue is with the mystery this time around. There was so much corruption in this story than should be humanly possible. It was just...wow. I didn't even know a mayor could have so much power and money. I'm pretty sure the president makes much less than what the mayor of Holly Woods has to pay everyone off.
Either way, the outcome was more or less satisfying . For whomever may have read the first book, are wondering what this book shall entail, and are reading this review to get that information, I definitely recommend you should continue the series.

I didn't even know this book was out. I remember enjoying the first one and this one was really good too.
I'll admit Noelle really annoyed me in this book. She's supposed to be a kick ass badass woman but she acted like a 12 year old girl when it came to her relationship...or lack of...with Drake. It was so sissy and girly and annoying. Where was my badass Noelle from the first book? Since when does she run!? She doesn't run from what she so clearly wants she goes right up to it and takes it.
Really a huge time waster.
But thank God the mystery in this book was damn good! I was like "it's HIM...no no it's her...wait no it's him" and it had me guessing and thinking and I loved it. A book that gets you thinking and analyzing is a good one.
A lot of my suspicions were right...like the Mayor. He's quite the disgusting character.
This mystery went into the BDSM area and though I've read a lot of books with BDSM in it, there are those books that have me all comfortable with it because it's explained and both people in the couple have trust, I'm good when it's like that but when it's vaguely mentioned in a book and not the huge prospect of the storyline then I'm all edgy, like in this book.
It's hard to explain. So I'm good with books with BDSM when it's broken down and given to me in a way that I'm trusting and okay with it but when it's just a "topic" like it was in this book I'm a little apprehensive.
But in a way that kept me reading. The mystery was intriguing.
Looking forward to the next book!

Another Success! I loved the progression of Drake and Noelle's relationship. But i have to admit, in the beginning their arguing really started to piss me off. I just wanted them to be level headed adults for two minutes and sit and talk. I can happily say as the story went on they finally actually started acting like they're in some sort of relationship and still kept their banter going.

I just want to take a second to express my love for the Bond Family. The Bond Brothers. How they're so protective of each other, and the sibling bickering is so on point, and so is the love they have for each other. I love Brody. I love how he's laid back and seems to be a pretty down to earth guy.

I loved the mystery/case solving in this story. It had more of a punch compared to the first book. I think it was the fact that Noelle and Drake were actually working together, despite the bickering, they were actually a really good team! I was once again trying to put all the pieces of the puzzle together but I wasn't quite on track so it was nice having to keep guessing what was going to happen. It kept me very interested and i couldn't put my kindle down.

I'm excited for the next book! There's more to this Jennifer character (obviously) and I don't like her one bit. Oh and I just want to say that Holly Wood is full of a lot of cheating, sleazy assholes. Bring on book 3!

Oh, MAN. Noelle and Drake just can't help butting heads. Over everything. ANYTHING. Arguing is their special brand of foreplay and they don't hold back. Seriously. They go at it with both guns blazing. Possibly literally. I mean, Noelle definitely seems the type.

And the make-up nookie after those blazing fights? HAWT.

But this book isn't ONLY sparks and steam and snarling touches between Drake and Noelle. There's also the little matter of murder. Dead bodies have a tendency to pop up in Noelle's orbit and it drives Drake a little crazy. In part because he's the lead homicide detective and in part because he cares enough about Noelle to want her to stay safe.

Except Noelle's the type of person who rushes head first into danger if someone she cares about (or a client) is involved. While she's (generally) careful where she rushes in, she isn't about to hold back and let something bad happen when she has the power to stop it.

Gotta love a lady with a strong moral compass. Although her compass might be a little bent seeing as how she sometimes has to skirt around the law to get the answers she needs.

Anywho. Fun. Sassy. Sexy. A little dangerous. I LIKE.

Emma Hart has only bloody gone and done it again!

This book has it ALL! Without a doubt.

Suspense, intrigue, questionable characters, shady pasts, cupcakes, ANNOYING exes, an Italian Grandmother, gun shots, pasta and SEX!

Noelle and Drake. Drake and Noelle. Droelle. I didn't think I could fall in love with these two characters any more than I did in Twisted Bond. But I did. I swear any storyline going on around these two pales in comparison to what is going on with them. The moon could disappear; the oceans could dry up and I'd be more interested in what these two are up to!

I lived and breathed for their arguments, their banter, their heated moments. Noelle's inner turmoil and Drake's confidence in "them" had me right involved in the story as their own bloody personal cheerleader.

Aside from Droelle, though - I gasped, I cried, I guessed wrong and the TWIST. My goodness. The twist! Did not see that coming!

You won't regret reading this sequel to Twisted Bond - things are definitely heating up for Detective Drake Nash and Noelle "Cupcake" Bond

Tangled Bond by Emma Hart is the continuation of Noelle and Drake’s attempt at love and of course following murder and mystery in Holly Woods, Texas. Let me say for a small Texas town, they sure have some crazy hanky panky and secrets going on… and I love it! Every small town has secrets and Holly Woods is no different. This time, it’s the duo is attempting to figure out whodunit and the list of suspects includes some mighty influential people. I should probably tell you, the sheer number of cupcakes consumed while reading this series is obviously linked to the story. Also, get your dialing finger ready for some pizza action! Hello foodie :) I will refrain from calling Drake insufferable this time, because like, Noelle, I find his parts oh so yummy, I could just eat him up! Her sass is awesome and fun and she kept me laughing. Now I’m wondering what Emma has up her sleeve next?!?!

we were twisted and now we get tangled into the life of PI,Noelle Bond. Just like it’s predecessor,Tangled Bond was suspenseful, hilarious and sexy as hell! We pick up right where we left off as our cupcake-loving heroine is still dealing with her overbearing Nonna and avoiding the sexy-as-sin Detective Nash. When Noelle ends up working a murder investigation,what’s a girl to do when she works next to the man she has a love/hate relationship with?!

I laughed and swooned throughout this entire book! I absolutely adore Noelle, her intelligence, snarky comments and don’t f*!k with me attitude makes her a heroine that I love to read. Actually, everything about this book/series I enjoyed and I can’t wait for the next installment to get more. Luckily, Ms. Hart will not keep us waiting long!

I started this book immediately after finishing the first. I wanted more of Holly Woods, Noelle, Drake and the entire Bond gang and I was not disappointed.
Drake and Noelle were left in a sort of limbo at the end of the last book and I really wanted to see more of their will they or won't they relationship. I loved every second of their back and forth. The mystery of another murder forced them to work together and figure out their crap a little faster and rockier than it could have been, but I wouldn't expect anything less from Noelle. Tangled Bond had me turning pages even faster than Twisted Bond and I cannot wait to see what happens next in Holly Woods.

Drake is something else I think he and Noelle are perfect for each other, “sweet eff, cupcake. I think you just gave me a brain aneurism.” He chuckles. “Wear whatever you want. Preferably something that shows your leg and a hint of panties when you bend over.” Drake is one of those men who can appreciate his woman's assets, “have you seen your a** in those shorts? They’d wake up the entire graveyard if you walked through.” Noelle is such a smart***, “are you seriously asking me if this”—I motion to his exposed body—“is a problem?” I enjoy this series Noelle is so snarky and Drake is the man to handle her properly if you get my meaning.

This was even sexier than the first book. I would give it more than five stars because I loved it that much. I can't believe the suspense and action in this book. The stalker storyline was very interesting. I loved the whole process of how the eventually got to who the killer/stalker was.

I loved the characters. Drake and Noelle have a complicated relationship, but they always make it work. Thank you, SJ, for recommending me this series. Can't wait to read book 3, Tethered Bond. Overall, a fantastic read.
