U.S. Marshal, Kate Briggs, is beginning to adjust to the Amish ways. Yet when a murder occurs in the nearby town, how will she solve it without arousing the suspicions of the handsome detective, Ryan Weaver, and blowing her cover? What does Kate do that causes her WITSEC boss to want to extract her from the peaceful Amish community? Will Kate leave the Amish, or will she stay?
USA Today Best-selling author Ruth Hartzler spends her days writing, walking her dog, and thinking of ways to murder somebody. That's because Ruth writes cozy mysteries and adventures. She is best known for her archaeological adventures, for which she relies upon her former career as a college professor of ancient languages and Biblical history.
This sequel was a good story of Kate's life after the first book. It was intriguing how she solved the case regarding the dead man found in the neighbor's pond. It was quite a big job for a lady to accomplish by herself.
This was a good book, the second in the series, and I liked how Kate was able to help the police with finding the culprit without giving away her secret identity. Not your typical Amish mystery, but quite a different perspective on the Amish community.
