My 2 kids (ages 4 and 6) love this book. It's pretty well written and an engaging story.
The Ender Dragon decides he wants to destroy all humans, so he has the Endermen build him a giant portal out of The End. When he gets to the overworld he decides that it's actually a pretty cool looking place, and maybe he doesn't want to destroy it. Can he find a human to prove that they are worth saving? We'll find out!
