It was crazy how much greed came into play in this one and how that person was taken down. The start was harrowing, as we were with those that were wronged and could see how thing went for them. The rest of the book was the aftermath. I was a bit confused how Mrs. Martin, the old lady, played into things, but quickly, we learned the connections and what a wiley old lady she was. I loved how she managed to execute her plan, even the hard part at the start and how she was able to take down the greedy person so well. It was fun to to see everyone work together to make sure that the innocent had a champion and how things turned out.

A horrible incident happens on a drilling platform in the Gulf of Mexico. The loss of life is horrifying and the aftermath is worse. A series of coverups cause delays in the fact-finding. When an older woman dies in her little cottage near Belle Fleur, the Legacy team finds connections to the oil platform disaster. The solution takes time, but the team, with important help, solves the puzzle. The animals also help bring the culprits to justice.

Money and power hungry people

This was another story about a man who was more about what the world could only do for him. He thought he was above all others and it cost him a lot. When a sweet older woman leaves a legacy and the power to take down that man the men of Belle Fleur get involved. Along with the animals of the water.

Fantastic

I loved everything about this story. Suspense, intrigue, and a little romance thrown in for good measure. Another great book from Ms. Kennedy
