Looking for an escape from your boring day to day life? Take an unforgettable trip to the Boot Knockers Ranch! Holy crap, if only this place really existed. Spending a week with a man, or two, being totally devoted to your needs? Sign me up!
Tabbart already knows just who she wants as her cowboy for the week. Stowe is the brother of one of her coworkers on her television cooking show. She's considered a celebrity and just wants to get away for awhile from the spotlight, so she signs up for a week with him asking for complete anonymity while she's there. The staff all agree and Stowe is determined to let her relax and give up the control she always maintains so well while also protecting her from anyone who threatens to reveal her presence there.
Being an 'in control' person for every aspect of her life only makes Stowe more determined to earn her trust enough to feel she can be free with him. He's the Dom of the ranch and although Tabbart knew this going in, she wasn't quite sure what it meant. Their first physical experience together she immediately lets go and gifts Stowe with her submission. He's pleasantly shocked and surprised at how responsive she is and right away knows she's the perfect sub for him. He's never wanted a long term commitment before but he's already thinking about collaring her within the first couple of days.
Tabbart discovers a whole new side to her sexuality. She loves the power that Stowe holds over her in bed and knowing she can trust him to give her what she needs. He pushes her limits and has her enjoying things she'd never even dreamed of. But they know the week will end and they'll go back to their daily lives and this thought saddens them both, even though they're too afraid to admit it.
Tabbart enjoys being with Stowe so much she signs up for a second week, but before that week is up the real world comes crashing into their little bubble they've created around themselves and things fall apart. She returns to her career heartbroken but sure that Stowe already has another girl he's servicing for the week while he's really so crushed he can't even think of another woman. He has to decide if it's worth the risk to go after her or try to move on.
This book is so hot, Tabbart is one lucky girl to have these experiences with Stowe. If you love sexy cowboys who know how to please a woman, and also have an open heart when the right woman appears, then you'll love this series!

Oh, Stowe. I've loved the brief glimpses of 'The Dom from Down Under' in the previous Boot Knockers Ranch series, and was oh, so excited to get my hands on him here. It was worth the wait. Stowe and Tabbart were sexy and likeable, their story perhaps a little quick, but really, so very easy to just get lost in, I didn't much care. At this point, I am pretty sure Em Petrova could write the phone book, put the BKR series title on it and I would read it. I simply LOVE her cowboys!
The ending was swoonworthy, the middle section filled with delicious dirtiness and the beginning charming enough to make this a one-sitting read for me. It was awesome to see some of the previously tamed Boot Knockers pop in, as well as the upcoming ones make their small appearances. All of the characters--major, minor or in-between--are on-point and make the story better by their presence.
I really, truly hope that there is MUCH more to come from this series. I'd kind of like it never to end. Because if it does, where will my imagination vacation to in future? ~ Beth, 4.5 stars

Petrova has done it again and this time she’s given the Dom from Down Under a well-deserved happy ending. I do believe this is the first installment in this series in which the featured Boot Knocker is so far removed from the ranch at the beginning of the book. Stowe is in California to visit his sister Amelia, the only relative he has that’s living in the States. During his trip, he has a sizzling encounter with celebrity chef Tabbart Tracy that makes quite an impression on Tabbart, enough so that she finally asks Amelia for her brother’s contact info and ends up booking a week on the ranch with Stowe.
Obviously as Stowe is the Dom from Down Under, Rope Burn is far more BDSM-laden than any of the previous installments. We learn that Stowe has been in the lifestyle since he was eighteen and because of this and his time on the ranch as a sex therapist, he sets out to help Tabbart learn how to let go of the tight control her celebrity-status necessitates she maintain in her life and do it through submission. And the man is impressive in how he handles her. The sex scenes are unbelievably hot and the eroticism escalates over the course of the book as Tabbart’s trust in Stowe strengthens. This is something I actually liked because while Stowe pushed her boundaries quicker than he admittedly would have in a “real” relationship, it still occurred in a natural progression within the time confines of Tabbart’s stay at the ranch. A stay that she actually increased because one-week wasn’t long enough, something I don’t recall happening before and couldn’t blame her for doing either. But an encounter with another visitor cuts her stay short (and left me wondering why the ladies didn’t have to sign a confidentiality agreement as part of their application packet) and Tabbart and Stowe part ways while angry. Fortunately for the both of them, Amelia has no problem getting involved once she connects all the dots as to why her new friend and her brother have been super moody since Tabbart’s return to California. And their reunion was abso-freaking-lutely perfect!
As is the norm with this series, I thoroughly enjoyed watching Stowe and Tabbart’s relationship develop. I really liked how Stowe used BDSM to break through Tabbart’s mental barriers, which enabled her to get back to her roots, in a way. I was surprised that she became so unconcerned about being discovered on the ranch as her time there passed, but I wasn’t surprised by the way that played out. One of the things I really enjoy about this series, is that once you’ve read the first book, it really doesn’t matter what order you read them in. I actually read book six before I read Rope Burn, but because Petrova always gives her cowboys a happy ending, it didn’t matter because the books in this series are all about the week the Boot Knocker spends with his soon-to-be partner…or partners. This also means that I can reread them out of order at any time and Rope Burn is a definite reread for me. I look forward to visiting the Boot Knockers Ranch again soon.

This was a nice, steamy short read for me. I am a big fan of books with a ranch theme and the tv cooking show star aspect made this one stand out to me.
Tabbart and Stowe definitely live two very different lifestyles. Both have been content with their lives for awhile now, but lately everything is feeling stagnant.
Tabbart longs to take her hair down, relax, and be herself out of the public eye for once. She has a tarnished history with men and isn't sure what she wants anymore, but when she lays eyes on her assistant's brother, she gets a huge sexy surprise with how attracted she is to him.
Stowe is feeling stuck in a rut. He decides to visit his sister in the USA and is excited when he lays eyes on her delectable cooking show host of a boss.
They both feel the attraction, but should they take a chance to find out if this is what they've been needing to spice up their lives?
I suggest you read and find out.
Overall, I found it interesting and quick to read. I would recommend it to anyone who likes sexy ranch reads and I may just have to look into the rest of this series.

I've enjoyed all the Boot Knockers books to date, and this one is another fun and feisty book in the series.
There has not been a celebrity at the Ranch before, and it does rather make things complicated - Stowe however is definitely up to the task. Oh and we get to play voyeurs as he introduces her to D/s in a tantalising way, clearly both of them having more feelings that they had expected or perhaps even wanted. There are some lovely touches in a story which is so concentrated in the couple. The meeting with the cook, the sister who works for the TV station. And a perfect BK ending.
I highly recommend this to you - but you might prefer to read it in private in case your cheeks warm up - Tabbart's certainly do !

When Tabbart, a celebrity TV chef, sees Stowe for the first time it is lust at first sight for both of them. She tracks him down at the ranch and pays for him for a week. Image the scandal of the public finds out.
Rope Burn is a hot and steamy story. I loved the BDSM elements but I did think they leaned more toward a fantasy version of BDSM rather than reality, but I didn't mind. I also really enjoy the general setting on the ranch. Reading this made me want to go out, sit in the sun and have a picnic. I hope we will be getting more stories from the Boot Knockers ranch.

Take another visit to the Boot Knockers Ranch where things get hot! TV chef Tabbart needs some R&R because she's burning out and Stowe is just the man for the job. Stowe knows his way around the bedroom and how to work some magic with a whip. He can't deny the attraction he has to Tabbart and she brings out feelings in him he never knew he could feel. Even though the sex and chemistry is off the charts smokin' hot there is substance to the story which drew me in. You can see behind what the main characters try to hide from the world, but once they come together their brains and hearts tell a different story. Trying to keep her stay at the ranch a secret becomes harder and harder. Through in feelings beginning to grow for Stowe and vice versa things get more complicated. Can these two take the risk on love? Loved the end and how Stowe makes his move.

She arranges to be with him at the ranch and the heat is higher that any kitchen she's ever been in.
Stowe, in Boot Knocker tradition, isn't expecting to be so completely beguiled by any one woman. He is so wrong! The raw emotions and sexual daring in their story will burn into your heart and soul. A must read!

Em does it again with book #5 in THE BOOT KNOCKERS RANCH series. Stowe is known as being the "Dom From Down Under". Tabbert is famous for her cooking show. Every man seems to have a specialty they deal with better than others and Stowe's is BDSM. Tabbert and Stowe meet at her show while he's visiting his sister who works on the set. Tabbert needs a vacation so she calls The Ranch and requests Stowe for the week but needs to keep her identity under wraps. They both get more than what they bargain for as the sparks fly. When Tabbert gets recognized, she flies too.......Home! A great read in a great series.

My favorite boot knockers book to date.
I identified with some aspects of the heroine and so the book drew me in from the start.
Strong characters, sexy + hot scenes, love. It does have a bit of the bdsm but it's more tasteful and not overly done. (I want a man like Stowe)

Welcome back to Boot Knockers Ranch and this time we have a celebrity in the group. Tabbart Tracy, famous TV chef, isn’t going through the usual picking process. She’s already selected her comboy. She’s in Texas for some serious R&R&S Rest, Relaxation and Stowe - the God like cowboy in black leather with washboard abs, captivating eyes and that Aussie accent that floods her panties. She askes only for one thing anonymity - no one can know she’s on sex ranch delving into the BDSM lifestyle with the Dom from down under. The lessons in give and take, pleasure and pain and giving up control are some of the hottest in this series. This is Stowe's book. He has been mentioned in the other books but this is his book to get his HEA. Stowe is a man who can read woman. It is a talent that has served him well. This is what makes him so wildly popular among the women. He is the resident BDSM expert.
Tabbart is a woman who likes to have control of everything. However she is finding out that with more fame, more control gets taken away from you. She is starting to not even recognize herself anymore. However when Stowe comes to visit the set that Tabbart works at, sparks fly.
I loved that Tabbart took a risk and find out where Stowe was and went to him. This took a lot of guts. I was also surprised how quickly Stowe assessed what Tabbart needed and acted. It was really hot.

The strong and independent heroine shows that it’s ok to love with your whole heart and still be strong. A super story of two hearts coming together in the most amazing of ways.

Awesome series!!
I have read all six books in this series and probably will again. They are so well written with characters that you can visualize in your mind easily. They all have great stories and plenty of hot steamy sexy scenes that will have you squirming as you read.

I’m loving this series of books, each story a little different, but entertaining and happy endings guaranteed. Give them a go, start at No1 and read through. I’m just about to download the next one, I’d certainly pay to visit Boot Knockers ranch, mmmmm!!!

Somehow, I missed this one so when I realized this, I bought it. This is a well written story with wonderful characters. It was nice to revisit The Boot Knockers. I would encourage everyone who likes BDSM stories to get this one. This one is worth your time. Enjoy!!!!

Boot knockers ranch is where women go to get sex therapy from foxy cowboys. Stowe is the "Dom from Down Under" An Aussie Dom who wields a whip. Tabbert is a repressed famous chef who gets one look at Stowe at one of her TV segments and connects. She heads to the ranch for some therapy and finds out a lot about herself. Stowe teaches her submission and makes some changes in his lifestyle. An OK story that was kind of inst love and BDSM. Tabbert was gaining ground and then closed herself off & was a little wishy washy. Stowe manned up. This story was M/F. I guess the others in the series are M/M with added F & I'm not interested in reading those
