A. A. Allen was clearly one of the most important revivalists to emerge in the early days of the healing revival and was one who ploughed on with grass-roots healing revivalism for over twenty years until his death in 1970. Charismatic and controversial, this comparative latecomer to the revival was known as ‘the boldest of the bold’ amongst his peers and loved by thousands of his followers.
But his speciality was healing and deliverance. He arguably had more understanding and anointing in this area than most of the other healing evangelists. He was a man of the people. He understood the pressures of life and his own life was not without massive pressures and overwhelming struggles.
This made him unusually qualified to minister into this area of human need. Over the decades since his death this message has become of even greater importance and relevance as the pressures of life have increased.
