No, olvídalo, no esperaré tu respuesta.

I suggest having read You Will Fall In Love before this title because you might be alittle confused as to what happened with Haru and Reiichirou's brother but you don't necessarily have to have read it to like this title because its not a direct continuation.

I enjoyed this title immensely because it dealt with emotions very well and also the relationship was slower to develope than we typically get to experience in BL titles. Reiichirou and Jinnai meet months before You Will Fall In Love occurs and they already started working on their weird friendship/work relationship. Then the events in YWFIL act as a catalyst for Jinnai to realize that he feels stronger for Reiichirou than he initially thought he did.

Reiichirou is a character that you'll probably either like or dislike. He's very inexperienced with people and doesn't have very good social skills but he tries very hard to learn from those around him which shows that this a character with alot of potential growth. Jinnai is your typical socially confidant man but he finds himself encouraging, taking care of, and growing to enjoy his friendship with this socially inept man (Reiichirou). It makes an interesting contrast and provides some drama between the two on almost a regular basis.

The artwork is lovely and side characters aren't ignored completely which is usually a good sign of a nice story.

Hm. I really, really liked the first half.

It's nice to see the events of You Will Fall in Love from Reiichiro's point of view, and I'm pleased to find that I was right about how I'd read Reiichiro's feelings about Haru. He wasn't in love with him, not really; he's actually a very pure-hearted, innocent, kind of air-headed guy who essentially has no experience with any romantic relationships (...or even that many friendships). He might never have even leaped to that conclusion if his coworker (technically employee) and friend, Jinnai, hadn't suggested it.

And Jinnai is absolutely kicking himself for doing so, because he'd realized a little too late that he was in love with Reiichiro and didn't particularly want him dating anyone else.

These two books run along essentially the same timeline, with fresh out of college Reiichiro taking over the management of his father's successful kimono shop, disrupting the hopes of the assistant manager, Jinnai, who's been working there for years, is a decade older than Reiichiro, and is really unhappy with the nepotism that cut off his promotion.

Reiichiro is kind of bad at his job, too. He's smart and went to a good university, but he has no idea how to handle the customers, an essential part of the business. He speaks his mind, without considering how others might respond to his unfiltered honesty, and maintains a flat expression that makes people think he's cold and unfeeling. Jinnai assumes he's a spoiled jerk, too, until he starts to actually get to know the guy a little better...and discovers he had everything wrong about him. Like Haru, really, he'd just made a lot of assumptions based on appearances (and Reiichiro's absolutely beautiful face).

Jinnai, by the way, seems to think of himself as straight, even though he reveals later on that (a) he knows exactly how gay sex works and (b) he'd fooled around with a friend on a school trip before, no big deal, just bros helping bros etc. He's obviously bi (although I don't think that will be explicitly stated), and Reiichiro is most likely demi - definitely somewhere in the ace spectrum.

And this is where things got disappointing, because the potential was so, so good. This could've been an amazing story.

I loved how Reiichiro, sensing some friendliness from Jinnai, latched onto him and made him his friend and dinner companion and confidante. He's actually incredible sensitive and easily hurt, and it helps him a lot to have a straightforward, no-nonsense guy like Jinnai listening to him and giving him advice about his family and friendships and even his relationship with Haru. Reiichiro trusts Jinnai, and they spent months building such a stable foundation that could so easily tip into something romantic.

Which it did, but only because Jinnai pushed the whole thing over and trampled on it.

CW noncon for the rest of the review.

He definitely assaults Reiichiro - twice. The first time was interesting because while it happened in a fairly typical BL way (one character saying "no, no, wait" and the other saying "I can tell you like it" and continuing regardless), the aftermath was different.

Reiichiro was angry and flat out told Jinnai the next day that he'd said no and Jinnai had done it anyway. He was angry, but he was hurt, too, because he'd trusted Jinnai. Because of that deep friendship of theirs, which had mattered so much to him, he'd even put some serious thought in afterwards about whether he was okay with this change in their relationship, but Jinnai ruined it again by laughing at his innocence. (Reiichiro has no idea how two guys have sex and thought what they'd done was already "going all the way." Which, in a sense, isn't wrong...there doesn't have to be full penetration for it to be sex or an assault.)

Jinnai hadn't thought he'd done anything wrong - just two dudes being dudes with each other, no feelings no harm right - but seemed to understand from Reiichiro's reaction that apologies were necessary and that he needed to do much better.

So he goes to Reiichiro's house to make that apology and to explain that he really does love Reiichiro and wasn't toying with him or laughing at his emotions. That scene's pretty decent, too; Reiichiro keeps the wall of the dojo between them and tells Jinnai to go away and let him think in peace. Jinnai agrees and even tells Reiichiro that he's willing to wait for an answer, no rush.

Then...sigh. Reiichiro is the one who comes out and doesn't seem to really want Jinnai to leave, and eventually that turns into Jinnai forcing himself on Reiichiro again, insisting that he doesn't have to wait, he can tell that Reiichiro loves him, and Reiichiro has to say those words out loud. Which he does, but he also says "no" a lot, and Jinnai doesn't listen. Again. And this time they do go all the way.

Then the next day at work, Reiichiro is angry again, and Jinnai gets a little worried that maybe he thinks that he was forced into things...but no, Reiichiro's just frustrated because they've had sex in his archery range and his workplace, so it's very hard for him to concentrate, and he wants to do it someplace more "normal" the next time.

That's a bummer of an ending. While I like Jinnai as a character and really do think they have some great potential with their dynamic, this wasn't a great way to go about things. It was so, so rushed - they've had sex twice now in the two days (?) since Haru rejected Reiichiro and Reiichiro had any idea at all that he might be romantically/physically interested in men.

Jinnai had been such a great friend and listener, and this could've been a good story about Reiichiro learning with him, someone he trusts, what it's like to be in a truly supportive, balanced relationship. But nope. Reiichiro deserves better, and at this point, I'm just sad for him. He feels lost and lonely and Jinnai is taking advantage of him, and he's going along with it now because he feels like that's the best he's going to get.

I hope the rest of the series works on that part of their relationship more, because right now, only one of the Shudo brothers is in a good, healthy relationship, and it's not the older one.

Hinako Takanaga is hit or miss for me. When she hits, I really love her manga, but her misses are among the worst manga I've read (The Tyrant who falls in love, anyone?). This series I like, however. It's not quite as much fun as "Ohne viele Worte", but it's a good mixture of romance and angst, and there's lots of traditional Japanese clothing, which is nice to look at. This is not one of my favourite series or anything, but it was a nice read for a Sunday morning.

I actually bought this while I was in Japan this winter, but I didn't read it until just recently, because I didn't really like the first book in the series (which centered around the brother of one of the main characters of this book) and I heard lots of rumors about how bad and stupid this one was. And yes, I agree that the sudden sex was sudden at the end, but, but...WHY did nobody tell me how adorable Reiichirou was? This manga is almost like...grown up Bukiyou na Silent (from the seme's POV)? Jinnai even says, of Reichirou, "ああ見えて、あいつも色々考えてるんだよ", which is like, almost word-for-word Libre's tagline for Tohno in Bukiyou. Okay, Reiichiro is more...clueless and socially awkward than unable to express what he's feeling, but it's still totally endearing to me. Also, Jinnai is pretty cute himself with all his I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU SAID THAT faces.

Seriously, Random People on the Internet Who I Happened to See Writing About This Manga, you really dropped the ball in not knowing how much I would love these characters. I demand that you shape up or I will never stumble upon your comments again.

When Mochizuki becomes a substitute teacher in school, unwanted feelings arise when he notices the brother of a man he once fell in love with years ago. Should he fight these sudden urges for Tsukasa or give in to them? And why’s he so insecure about archery anyway?

This is a tender love story, filled with anxiety and inappropriate behavior between teacher and student. The story of love and the love of archery are wound tightly together as the story progresses, making one nearly contingent on the other; the archery school isn’t merely an unusual backdrop for the romance. Tsukasa is open and warm hearted, the complete opposite of his aloof brother, so when his teacher unwillingly falls for him, it makes a lot of sense. But he’s also a student, so it’s easy to understand Mochizuki’s reluctance to get involved with him. When feelings are settled between them, the reader gets the sense that it’s the right thing for them to do; there’s no sense of anything being rushed.

Definitely better than the prequel

I don't know if Reiichiro knows what he wants. He doesn't really communicate well enough. It seems like he doesn't even understand the concept of love or what it means to love someone. So, as at the end of this volume, I'm not convinced he loves Jinnai yet.

Jinnai kept saying stuff like,

"Realize you love me".
"If your body reacts (to my touch) like this, it means you love me"

It all just felt too forced. Like if he kept saying that, then maybe Reiichiro would just accept it like a robot and say he loves him as well.

Overall, the tone and plot was a lot better than the prequel. As for their relationship, I'm hoping the next volume will delve more into that and hopefully show us more of Reiichiro's inner feelings.

Kurz-Meinung:

I liked this even better than "You will fall in love" - I really liked Reiichirou's cluelessness and the way Jinnai broke through his - defenses, if you want to call it that. Overall, I loved the way the story developed, if we don't count the seduction scene. (But then again, I've definitely read worse, so. It's yaoi, what do I expect?) The story is pretty formularic, but in an enjoyable way.

The drawing style is as beautiful as can be expected from Takanaga-san.
Reiichirou is amazingly cute and absolutely clueless (as always))) and Jinnai is more than ready to introduce Reiichirou to a new world of feelings.
The only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars was because of the way Jinnai forced himself on Reiichirou. Too rough to my taste.

This series was a lovely and interesting read. I have to say, the men in kimonos were quite sexy in this one. I'm normally not a huge kimono fan, they often come across as stiff and/or awkward for manga male characters that I read. But not here, it was a visual snack!

OMG!!
What??!!!

I didn't really like this one. I don't understand how Reiichiro has been able to make it this far through life being so socially inept. I've never really been a fan of this type of character (...the only exception being Nakyum from Painter of the Night 🥰) and I usually end up not liking stories that feature them. This was no exception. Reiichiro is such a dull person that even Haru, who was a complete pushover, was more interesting than him. I mean, seriously, why hasn't anyone stepped in and gotten this boy some much needed help? How Jinnai fell in love with him is beyond me.

Aside from that, I thought the story was just boring in general. How can I get into a story in which the love interest is an emotionless robot who doesn't even understand his own feelings, let alone the feelings of those around him. To be honest, I don't even know if he really loves Jinnai or if he's just going along with what Jinnai said because he doesn't know how to process what's happened to him. What an annoying story. I'm glad it's over and, though I have volume 2 and plan on reading it in the future, I'm in no hurry to do so. Obviously, this isn't one I'd recommend. Sorry.
