For as long as I can remember, I’ve lived by no one’s rules but my own. On the edge of destruction, my life has been an obscure, drug-induced haze of hard partying, random groupies, and Metal.

Now, there’s Lace.

Ever since I saw her uptight ass, I’ve wanted to pound the prude right out of her. She was just supposed to be a fun lay. Now, she’s turning my world on its ass.

What the f*ck is wrong with me?

Whatever it is, she’s making me want things, different from what I’ve had, different from what I thought I wanted. Thing is…I’m not sure if I’m ok with that.

Find out what happens when Gunnar Haze, rock god, meets Lacey, a music critic with a broken heart and an eye for bad boys. With the type of heat that will melt your panties right off, opposites will attract and collide.

Just...WTF do I get myself into? I love buddy reads, but I'm tired of losing the coin toss to decide the book. Because I always end up with shit-tastic.

I deserve better than shit-tastic.

And so do you.

This book...yeah...the writing is an issue. Maybe its biggest for me. I don't like 1st person present tense POV. Some authors can do this and some end up like this book.

Trying my fucking patience.
And everybody knows I have that shit in spades. (*eye-roll*)

The H was every self-centered, man-ho deluxe cliché known. Some of it endearing, some made me want to gouge his eyes out. I was stuck between, "figures" with a shrug and "what a fucking prick."

The h...again with these women I can't stand. At first, she just comes off as a raving bitch. Then she's just this crying mess. She was horrible, no self-control and no self-respect. The fucking definition of a brat.

Dear Authors, please tell me you have better IRL role models for women than the shite you bring us in the written word.

And honestly, when the h sets up the OW drama cuz she pushes the H away repeatedly when he shows interest...that shit, that's all on her. She told him no, in no uncertain terms, and she left him before fucking him. He behaved himself up to that point.
He's a rockstar, Ladies.
Cue the OW...
Nothing graphic and only once.

The plot was on fast forward. There was no build up, all the sudden we were just in the thick of it. It needed another 20k to 30k words. And honestly, I don't even know if that would have saved it.

2 stars...I've read worse this month.

PS....

I always love it when an author uses the phrase "lick her pussy dry" - does anyone else see the impossibility of that feat?

And I always love how men in books (and IRL) think taking women to strip clubs is somehow going to be a turn on for them. Let's face it, it may be, but all those naked tits, at one point, it's always more of a turn on for the dude. And that always begs the question of why the fuck they want to take the chick they dig there in the first place.

A fast story with drugs, sex, angst, horrible exes, drinking, partying and trying to not place a label on what's happening between the hero and heroine.

Gunnar really didn't act his age and I didn't like his sexual side towards Lacey in public or when he calls her his f***doll. Lacey on the other hand- her feelings weren't realistic for me in the beginning. She developed them in like 0.1 seconds flat- or something like that. One day she hates him and the next evening she's jealous and upset.

I was left with questions at the end of this story. A story that I felt skipped a major portion towards the end. Which, made me feel like everything was rushed and wasn't fleshed out well- leaving out much detail that could have added to the story. What did he do - or she- during that huge gap?

Anyway- I want to know: how did Gunnar know about Cassandra's party- and why didn't Lacey ask him when he showed up? Where was Jay a lot of the book? It's like he didn't exist towards the middle to end. Why did their 'sob life stories' come out when they did? They didn't feel like they added to the story- maybe for why Gunnar is the way he is but Lacey? It should have come sooner. I didn't like the way it came up- it served no purpose, and it felt brushed off so quickly, never to be spoken of again. And same with Gunnar's story. It's never mentioned again.

I'm sure I have more thoughts but I'll just leave it to this and move on.

This book was FANTASTICALLY GOOD!!! SEXY AND HOT!!

Gunnar Haze is HOT!! Has a filthy mouth that that is soooo good! I read this book in one sitting, could not put it down! Lena Black has rocked it!

From the moment that Lacey & Gunnar meet, they combust, there are sparks flying. She is the good girl, but feisty. Gunnar is the tattooed Rock God; he is blunt, arrogant and takes women for his pleasure. But, that is just what others see; the exterior. There is more to Lacey (Lace) and Gunnar and they bring it out in each other. They fall fast and hard. He shows her to “live beyond consequences.” Gunnar was “hollow, dead inside.” Lacey makes him feel again.

Gunnar:
“This hot, tight piece of a** is the b**tard I’m looking for? This might be harder than I thought.”
Lacey:
“He’s the first man I’ve ever met who both angers me and turns me on at the same time.”

LOVED IT!! I would love to read more Gunnar & Lacey.

This is my first book by Lena Black that, I've read. I can say without a doubt this won't be my last either. I truly loved this book and can't wait for more.

In Metal and Lace this is the story of two people Gunner aka rockstar and Lace aka reporter. The story truly flowed between these two and had me laughing at times with the banter between them. I loved the chemistry with them and it truly just flowed though out the story. You get some drama, storyline and some hot sex scenes. This was fabulous read for me and I can't wait to see what's next in this series.

I can't wait for the next story. Hopefully it will be Dylan and Gwen that could be a interesting story between them.

If your thinking about this book don't go one-click it today. I promise you'll enjoy it as much as, I did. I can't wait to see what Lena Black has coming next. She has got a new fan in me.

**Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**

Totally loved how this book started off, the first sentence had me already so I knew I was going to really enjoy the hell out of this rocker book. First I want to say that I love reading books about rock, sex, drugs, women and all that involves the whole rock-n-roll scene.

This one was a little different for me though because it seems like this godlike rocker falls for a prissy woman. She is definitely hot but I just can't imagine that a man like him would fall for a woman like her. Gunnar has it all, the looks, style, fame and fortune. What more could this dude ask for right? He got whatever women he wanted and whenever he wanted them. But when he comes eye-to-eye with Lace he just can't shake her off his mind. She is a little spitfire and I believe that is the main thing that attracted Gunnar to her. He knew he wouldn't be getting her easily and the harder you fight for something, the more you want it right!

Lace was a reporter and had to do a cover report on Gunnar's band. She will tell you like it is and gave the band a pretty bad review. So Gunnar storms into her office expecting to find a dude behind the desk, but to his surprise he ends up coming face-to-face with none other than a woman, Lace. He is pissed by what she wrote in the article, but at the same time he's turned on as hell when he meets her.

Lace has to fly with the band to their next venue to document everything she needs for her next report. She loves giving Gunnar a hard time even though she's attracted to him. But she knows what type of guy he is and the last thing she needs is to get her heart broken again. I think she's the type of woman who gets attached easily and she definitely doesn't want to get attached to a man like Gunnar or a rockstar for that matter.

I thought this whole book was sexy as hell. Gunnar made me want to lick my fingertips every time I read one of those sexy scenes he was involved with Lace. That man can definitely rock any woman's world apart!

Loved the whole banter back and forth, they would fight and make up and when they were together they would definitely leave you panting as you read their romantic scenes. Because believe it or not, Gunnar can be romantic and sweet and rough and hard (totally my type).

The problem is, can Gunnar get attached to a woman knowing that he's leaving on a world tour? Can Lace accept Gunnar and know that he could stay faithful to her while away on tour? As much of a sl*t that Gunnar was, could he control himself and be a faithful man being away from Lace?

These are all facts that you will find out once you read the book ;)

I just have to say that I totally and utterly loved it!!

Please excuse me while I take a cold shower!

OK, I'm back. I've collected my thoughts ready to write this review.
For me this is one of those books that when you start it you just don't want to put it down, you have to keep reading to see what happens, but then when you do finally finish it you miss the characters.
I want more of Gunnar Haze.
He's sexy as hell, got tattoos everywhere & a beard.
But Gunnar is so much more then his appearance, and we see that in this book.
Then there's Lace. She isn't some girl that's going to bow down to Gunnar, and give him what he wants.
She stands up for herself, and I loved that about her.
The storyline was gripping and kept me hooked from start to finish. I had a roller-coaster of emotions reading this book, I was laughing, crying, angry, sad, happy.
I loved every second of reading this and I hope (fingers crossed) that we get more Gunnar Haze!!!

I know this book got a lot of 4-5 star reviews but it just fell short for me on multiple angles. I couldn't relate to any of the characters or really get into the story. One might say it's because i've read so many good books lately that I've become jaded. Gunner is this tough and rugged bad-ass with a beard who f#%ks like an animal but before lace he couldn't stay hard or get hard for any girl... Okay... And Lace, -she's a sex-kitten in heals and sarcastic and stands up for herself. But the moment she goes on tour with the band, Lace becomes a completely different girl and now shes constantly emotional and shy and tears keep prickling her eyes?! I cant stand when books confuse me with the angle of where the story is going like that. I felt like i was reading two separate books. On top of that, there was no real plot. The story is just about their emotional states while shes touring with the band to give them a review. :( 2 unexpectedly-unimpressed-stars!**

What can I say that hasn't already been said about Lena Black? Well, ladies and gentlemen, Lena has got herself another best-seller with this hot, steamy, sexy, rockstar romance!!! I love the fact that she has taken her brilliant writing style and shown us a new seductive outlet!! Gunnar Haze is "sex on a stick" and sets this story on fire from the get go!! Lacey Cummings is a hard-working woman trying to keep herself together at all costs, which is extremely hard to do around Gunnar!!! I absolutely love how Lena Black makes you feel like you are actually within the story itself. Not many authors today have a "golden pen" in hand that can accomplish this task. This is definitely a "must read" to any and everyone!! And I can't wait to see if there will be another "Opposites Attract" story from Lena's brilliant hand!!!

METAL & LACE is not your typical hard rocker story. Yes, the hero is a guy any hot blooded woman would swoon over. He's sexy, intense and takes what he wants, However, Gunnar Haze also has a heart, one that was severely damaged years ago. A string of one night stands and regular bed buddies is basically all he desires, that is until he meets Lacey, who is writing a story about him and his band. Lacey at first appears to be the complete opposite of Gunnar. Opposites do attract don't they?
If you like scorching hot love scenes and dirty talk, this book is perfect for you. I laughed my head off in parts and also found It hard to put down. I just had to message the author Lena Black to tell her it was 1am and that I was still up reading it. It's that good!

This is my first book that I have picked up of Lena's and what an addictive read.

Lacey is a reporter sent to write a revised article on Gunner Haze after her original one was less than pleasant, but she got more than she bargained.

This isn't your typical rock start book, it was so addictive. Gunner is hot, his dirty mouth will have your toes curling. Lots of humour and banter between the two kept the story light hearted.

Lacey is sweet and innocent, but that's only until Gunner unleashes the side that she has kept hidden.
A book full of roller coaster of emotions, leaving you wanting more with ever turn of the page.

Can't wait to read the next book in this series.

This is seriously one smokin' hot panty melting book! Lena Black takes you through to another world as only she can do. Metal & Lace has it all...drama, heartbreak, loss, sex, anger, and so much more. I love the way this story pulls you in from page one until you've turned to the very last. This is one emotional rollercoaster that you will want to ride again and again. Gunnar & Lacey are so uniquely right for each other and they show us all what it's like to fight for the one thing that makes us complete. Love. Way to go Lena Black! Metal & Lace is absolute perfection.

Lena, This book right here is just another example of the wonderful author you are!!! This book was totally different from your A Dominant series. Gunner was Hot and just the right person for this character...lost but barely surviving in life. Then comes Lacey who is high society, suffering from a recent break up... These two were made for each other!! You made the story flow, at the perfect pace. Created a great story that I couldnt stop reading!!! Bravo to YOU!!!

Anarchy Reigns frontman Gunnar Haze is used to getting what he wants, when he wants. He lives a life with no rules and has no plans of stopping it any time soon. That was until a review by L. Cummings in Rocked Candy Review ripped them apart. When Gunnar went to confront the writer and have them retract the review he didn’t expect that writer be a woman or that she’s make him want things he’s never wanted before. Lacey Cummings never thought her review of the metal band Anarchy Reigns would have caused an issue that she would have to spend time with frontman Gunnar Haze and the rest of the band as they end their current tour and she writes a new review. Will Lacey be able to resist the charms of Gunnar Haze or will she end her career with the new review?

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Lacey has always done what was expected of her. She was set to marry the perfect man and have the life her mother planned for her. This wasn’t what Lacey wanted and she didn’t love her now ex-fiancé Holden. When Gunnar walked into her office, she felt things she never felt before. Lacey always saw herself as a strong independent woman who took care of herself but when her mother showed up she couldn’t find a way to tell her how she really felt.

Gunnar had a troubled childhood but when he made it big with the band he never looked back. Gunnar is a man who loves to lives life to the fullest and doesn’t care about the rules. He’s the rock star every girl wants and he knows it. This alpha male prides himself at being able to let loose and get whatever he wants. Never being in a real relationship has kept people at a distant. Now that Lacey is with him on tour he can’t seem to get back to the way things were before he met her.

This is the first book by Lena Black that I’ve read and I was hooked before the first chapter ended. Gunnar is a complex character that you can’t decide if you love or hate him. He does things that upsets Lacey and you feel the same but then he does a 180 turn and he’d be the sweetest guy you’ve ever read about. Lacey may be a girl who grew up in a privileged life but she isn’t anything like the people she was around growing up. Lacey’s mom has certain expectations for her daughter but Lacey knows what she wants but has trouble voicing them. Gunnar is a good influence on Lacey as she is finally able to let go and experience life the way she has always wanted.
I loved the flow of the book and the fact that I wasn’t able to predict what either character would do next. I’m a sucker for rock star books and Lena surpassed any expectation I had when I first started reading the book. This is a great book and I would recommend it to any of my fellow readers.

I tried to love this book but I just couldn't. It was okay, a perfect 'filler' book. Something to read and pass the time whilst I wait for highly anticipated releases. That may sound harsh, but it's truthful.

I don't know if I should have read other books by this author, perhaps the characters had been mentioned elsewhere, but reading this book I felt like I should have already known the characters. As if they had been introduced elsewhere, in another book, and I was supposed to read this story without having a full on introduction. Feeling this way made me have no connection to the story at all. I really didn't care much for the characters, I felt like they had little to no personality at all - especially Lacey. I don't know how she managed to bag herself a rockstar, she had the personality of a newt. I didn't manage to see any special qualities in her. Gunner though, I was interested in. His character was a little more exciting and I found myself wanting to find out about his life, his past and what made him the man he currently was. It's just a shame it took until the end of the book to find that out.

The story itself was a little bit boring for me. Nothing exciting seemed to happen and it felt like I'd read this book a hundred times, with different characters. There wasn't anything that stood out for me. It was easy and predictable.

The author's writing was good, perhaps a little cringe at times (one line had me wanting to hide - "Your cock-gobbling snatch couldn't get enough of my love gun." - and a few others on top of that. I think had I been starting out on my reading journey and picked this up I would have enjoyed it much more. It would have been fresh and exciting, but for me it was just the 'same old'. I need something new and unique.

When this story started, I was like “what do we have here?” do we have frustrated rocker, that needs a woman to right his ways? Is he a junkie or who can’t keep it in his pants? I didn’t expect that this rocker, Gunnar was going to be just as much a savior to Lacey.

I was thrown for a loop. Gunnar was a rocker who took his work seriously and wanted to show Lacey, the beautiful journalist, that he could still bring it, he could still rock out and stand out amongst others. He wanted respect, more importantly he wanted to matter. Gunnar has the looks, has the voice, has a presence, but there is a void in him. Gunnar didn’t sulk, he didn’t wallow in his crap, he made decisions to move forward and take Lace with him for the ride of their life.

Let’s not forget about Lace! She was awesome! She kept up with Gunnar’s dirty talk, while still being feminine. I loved who she was when she was around him; I felt like she needed him, but didn’t whine, he helped her be who she always wanted to be and not a trophy wife that her mother wanted for her.

Him and Lace share an instant attraction, a push and pull effect that I couldn’t wait for them to give into. Gunnar was unbelievably hot, his mouth, the things he says he wants to do to Lacey, it will have you grinning and squirming. Lena Black could write steam and stir up emotions. Lena’s story felt rebellious, sexy, sweet, and sinful. Gunnar and Lace were just good for each other and I enjoyed every time they were together, whether intimately, or just talking about their lives. I feel that we can all have connections with people, or that certain some one, but there is always that one that is borderline dangerous but SO effin good for you, and good TO you. That is how I feel about Gunnar & Lace.

***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review - Sanne / Scandalous Book Blog***

You know when you think of rock stars you have some sort of set picture in your head?

The sex, drugs and rock & roll kind of picture.

Well, while we do get a glimpse into that life this novel gives us more. It digs just that little deeper into the real life and what goes on when the lights are out and the show is over.

We are shown the development of Lace and Gunnar as persons and most of all we get to see that real love does in fact changes us. For better or for worse. ;-)

**Content**

This is one of these novels that doesn’t exactly have that many plot twists. It’s quick, fairly simple and really only focuses on Lacey and Gunnar as a couple. The good, the bad, the sexy and the ugly!

So if you want a quick, well structured rock star romance that digs just a little deeper into the real life of the wild and the wicked, this is the one for you.

A point of criticism is that I found the jump from the ‘last’ chapter to the sort of epilogue a bit abrupt, the transition could have been a little bit smoother. I found myself wondering, what on earth?! Maybe that is just my own personal opinion so don’t take that into consideration too much. All the rest is structured perfectly!

One other thing is that I didn’t get some of the expressions but that might have something to do with the fact that I’m not a native English speaker or that this is an ARC copy that probably hasn’t been fully edited.

Let’s close this review with a few parting words from the big man himself:

“I’m one of a fucking kind, baby.” - Gunnar

Metal & Lace. Wow!
I need to get me a Gunnar because boy, this man hits you with both barrels on page one and he just never lets up.
He is bad to the bone, if you were to look up the term “manwhore” in the thesaurus, you will find his picture right there under the description but he can back up the terminology, because this rocker is not only tattooed, he’s adored with metalwork in all the right places (if you know what I mean) and he has a mouth that knows who to rock filthy like a pro!
Gunnar has this whole rocker lifestyle nailed, I mean the good old sex, drugs and rock and roll was completely made for this man. But his operating manual was just about to get a rewrite and the reason for this was the delicious Lacey.
This smart mouth reporter was more than his match and the chemistry between them the sort that songs are truly written about. They made me laugh – the snippy conversations between the two of them was just funny.
But if ever there was a pair that on paper should have never stood a hope in hell of being a couple it was these two.
They were complete polar opposites.
Someone like Gunnar was so far off her radar that heck, he was out of her stratosphere but it’s that old chestnut… the heart wants what it wants and no matter what the two of them were going to get it on!
Their initial meeting sets all kinds of possibilities whirling because it was quite awesome. This pair knew what buttons to push, to push each other to the sexy side of crazy, they were feisty- heck down right explosive. Nothing was straight forward and it was glorious to read
I have my fingers crossed that we get more from the rest of the band, especially Dylan.

A fun, sexy, read with smart mouthed characters and hot steamy rock star sex...what more could you want??

If you love rock star romances, you seriously need to check this book out. Gunnar Haze is a rock God. A different woman any time he wants, drugs, booze, adoring fans, what else could he want? Then he meets Lace. The snarky, take no bs reporter who got under his skin from day 1.

These two are hot together. I love a couple that defies the odds despite the fact that they shouldn't be together at all. Polar opposites doesn't even begin to describe them. What I liked about this story was that the characters stayed true to who they were. So often, they meet someone and then undergo this radical change because of the person they are with. Not this time. These two are the type that have to figure it out and do things on their own time. Except in the bedroom. There is no questions there about their attraction to each other. But what happens when what was supposed to be a physical need turns in to so much more?

There were times I wanted to slap both of them. Lace for being stuck in her own head and Gunnar for being a class A d-bag sometimes. Then again, wouldn't expect anything less from Gunnar Haze. It's hard to come to grips with someone seeing the parts of you that no one else does. Lace has her own baggage. Spoiled little rich girl who never quite fit in to that world. She's always wanted to forge her own path, not dutifully walk the one that she is supposed to walk. She's down to Earth, sassy, and I had a hard time seeing her being happy at white parties in the Hamptons.

In the world of Rocker Romances, Metal & Lace by Lena Black not only delivers a story that is unique in its own way, but also gives readers the swoon worthy Gunnar Haze. A character that commands each page, making it easy to see why the rocker and ultimate bad boy is the fantasy of all the women he meets. We first meet Gunnar in the alley of a club as he's having sex with a woman he met earlier that night. While things seem to be going good, it leaves him feel unsatisfied and angry. This happens to be a common occurrence in his life as of late. Even though he is this rock star who has it all, it doesn't appear to be all that it's cracked up to be as of late. Feeling frustrated he decides to read a new review about his bands latest show and it sets him off on a path far different from his own. He meets the beautiful but uptight writer of the review, Lacey Cummings and is thrown off by her. What happens with the rock star and the music critic is an explosive story of opposites attract. An explosive story with a few twists that leaves you glued to each page wondering how everything is going to turn out.

Lena Black delivers a sexy, primal, rocker romance that stands out. You have the uber sexy Gunnar Haze and the strong, fierce Lacey Cummings. Their individual and overlapping story adds a great dynamic to Metal & Lace. The sights, sounds, and settings transport you into every single page of this book, making Metal & Lace one of my favorite books of the year. After Metal & Lace, I'm definitely going to be checking out the rest of the books by the talented Lena Black.

Metal & Lace was my introduction to Lena Black, and I devoured it in one sitting.

Gunner Haze follows no rules. He's a filthy mouthed, HOT, famous rock star, who lives his life on the edge. Arrogant with no filter, he has no problem using women for his pleasure, and disappearing before morning. Lacey is a beautiful, feisty reporter, who doesn't have a wild bone in her body. She has spent her life making everyone else happy with little thought to her own happiness. Both Gunner and Lacey are battling demons in their lives, which keeps them from truly trusting anyone. When they meet, the sparks erupt like a volcano, and both fall hard. Lacey's goodness brings out Gunner's true heart, and he in turn, gives her confidence that she lacks in herself. Will Gunner and Lacey lower their walls to get a happily ever after ending?

I LOVED every minute of this book. Smokin HOT buildup, scorching love scenes, filthy sexy talk, laugh out loud dialogue, drama, heartbreak, and rock n roll, is some of the amazing things you will find in this story. Metal & Lace is an emotional ride that I will NEED to take more than once. Lena Black's character development simply ROCKS. She has a smooth writing style that grabs your attention from the beginning and doesn't let go. The duel POV made it absolute perfection. CANNOT WAIT to read more of this author and series! Fantastic book Lena Black! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Metal & Lace by Lena Black

5 Sexy Gunner Rockstars

This is the first Lena Black book I have read and oh my hotness I am so glad I had the opportunity. Gunner is just yummy yum yum.

A hot rockstar who is livid over an article of one's opinion of his band turns him into a raging loon and we are so glad it did, we as in myself and my personal friends Gunner and Lacey. Due to hothead loon Gunner, reporter Lacey has to rewrite her opinion of Gunner and his band's career and talent.

Sweet innocent Lacey is given the assignment to rewrite her article on Anarchy Reigns. To avoid legal action Lacey's boss ordered her to rewrite her article only after she accompanies the band on the last leg of their US Tour. A weekend with sexy Gunner who can infuriate her and make her squirm with the same snarky asshole-ish remark . Can Lacey see the talent Anarchy Haze has on these personal backstage showings or will she have the opportunity to put him in his place?

Lena had me frustrated wanting to punch these two in the throat. The rollercoaster of emotions these two caused me to have had me frustratingly yelling at them, literally. Eagerly turning the pages hoping at each turn they would get a clue. Definitely, a book to read and an author to follow. Bring it on Lena!

Metal and Lace...the story of a poor little rich girl and a hot rock god.

Lacey loves Anarchy Reigns but lately their stuff has been lackluster. They don't seem to give it their all and as a music journalist it's her job to let people know.

Gunner Haze lead singer of Anarchy Reigns. is a dirty talking, motorcycle riding, crass, bearded wet dream. He reads an article in an industry magazine about how crappy their last show was. The article, written by L. Cummings pissed him off so much he went to their offices to complain and threaten to sue. What he finds when he gets there blows his mind...among other things :)

The characters are funny, sarcastic, witty and adorable. The writing is great. The story speeds right along. Matter of fact it only took a couple of hours to finish. Everything flows so smoothly!

Even though it's not overly explicit, it's still smoking hot.

~ Tightening his hold on me, he says in a hushed, hoarse voice, "then I'm going to do things to you, Lace," he lifts his hand to my face and glides a finger over my bottom lip, "vile things, things that'll make it hard for you to live with yourself after."

Uhmmm yeah....while those vile things are left to my imagination, and believe me, my imagination CAN most definitely go there...the whole story was great.

I loved it, and I'll make sure to read more from Lena Black.

Metal & Lace was deeply erotic and an education in emotional growth. Both of these characters were damaged in their own way. Some huge gaping wounds while others may be small bruises that they didn't noticed until poked. Gunner Haze is a self indulgent rocker who seems to be depressed, lifeless and sad at the direction of his life and not really knowing why or what to do about it. Like most people who are lost he just keeps going through the motions. That is until Lacey a journalist for a music magazine writes a bad review for his band Anarchy Reigns' latest concert. She noticed he wasn't feeling it like he use to.

The moment these two were in a room together she knocked him on his ass and she tries to keep her bad boy loving self under control. To say the sparks fly is such an under statement! These two could melt steel when they come together. Now this book isn't all about how many ways he can get into her pants, though that was written fantastically and in vivid detail. Gunnar and Lace had a lot to learn about themselves and about each other. This was a beautiful story and I absolutely loved it. It was a bit twisty but it didn't twist the way I thought it was and that just made me love it even more. I highly recommend this to all romance lovers out there who love a naughty rocker and a feisty woman.

Having been a lover of Lena's A Dominant series I jumped at the chance to read this book. Having not really read much in the way of Rock Star romances this book was an enjoyable read.

Gunner Haze is your typical Rock God, living life to the max in a sex and drug induced haze.

When an article comes out that completely rips to shreds his band latest performance he goes in search of the author. He does not expect to find Lacey. Both of them have opinions of the other but find themselves stuck together when Lacey has to write another article on the band. What follows next is slightly predictable, and as both characters struggle to deny their true feelings for each other they embark on a hot and heavy no strings attached affair. But can what starts as a bit of fun actually become more permanent?

Whilst Gunner is a bad boy, he is also fun and wants Lacey to let go and enjoy the ride (literally!) Lacey ends up rocking his world completely.

It is a standalone in a new series and I can guess where the next story will go, possibly focusing on another newly formed relationship within the band.

There is no drama and the story flows really easily, its filthy and dirty and a really enjoyable read.

I received a ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review

Gunnar Haze lead singer of Anarchy Reigns sees an article in Rocked Candy reviews. The writer really tears down the band. Determined to set them straight Gunner heads to the magazines office. He never expected the writer to be a sexy good looking women. He wants her to rewrite her article. When she refuses he goes over her head. Lacey is mad, who does he think he is. Can't take a little criticism. Made to spend the weekend with the band Lacey figures that it isn't going to be fun. As mad as Gunner is, he can't stop the attracting he feels for Lacey. The two trade insults and fight every chance they get. Anything to avoid the attraction they feel for each other. Something's in life you just can't get away from.

I loved this book. Gunner was your typical rock star, sleeping with women, drinking drugs. Lacey wanted him but she wasn't into that scene at all. Gunner knew he needed to change to get her. But the sparks flying in the meanwhile make for some humorous dialogue. The name calling cracked me up. Then in the next breathe Gunner is protecting Lacey from the bands snide remarks. The path to true love is never a straight road nor is it easy.

I didn't know what to expect going into this one, but I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Gunnar and Lacey.

The chemistry between them was explosive, they made a brilliant couple from the get-go. Often when the H/h get it on so quick I can lose interest, but nope that definitely did not happen with this one.

I think some areas could have been explored a little deeper and other skimmed over (ha,ha there's no pleasing everybody is there!) But all in all I would happily give this a well earned 4.5 stars.

Lena's writing style is my favourite, that was an automatic thumbs up. Her character building spot on, I really felt I knew these two. Plotwise, well this book is one of those that doesn't really have a plot per se, it's just two people finding the 'one' and realising what they've got when it's often too late.

Great read, I would recommend this to anyone who follows what I read, one of the top ones for a rockstar read as far as characters of rockstars go. It definitely grabs you and doesn't let up till the last page.

I received a copy of Metal and Lace in return for an honest review, my reviews are my own and are 100% honest.
