The Pakhan's Hidden Heiress: A Forced Marriage Mafia Romance

Rate this book
My father gambled me away to a ruthless Russian pakhan.
Now Lev Etush has come to collect his prize.

Me.

I expect him to see my wheelchair and reject me.
Instead, he forces his ring onto my finger…
Makes his penthouse accessible…
And surrounds me with armed guards.

But Lev did not marry me merely to erase my father’s debt.

But because the mother I never knew left me a name worth killing for.
And I am the last Filatov heiress…
The key to the bloodstained throne Lev intends to seize.

I should despise my possessive husband.

But his cold control becomes scorching desire.
Every forbidden touch leaves me craving more,
And every kiss makes our forced marriage feel dangerously real.

He never mistakes my chair for weakness.
Instead, he treats it like a throne
And destroys anyone foolish enough to threaten me.

This monster married me for my bloodline.
Now he wants my body, my heart, and every inch of me.

***The Pakhan’s Hidden Heiress is a dark forced-marriage mafia romance with a debt bride, a ruthless Russian pakhan, a resilient wheelchair-using heroine, dangerous obsession, and a secret bloodline worth killing for. He marries her for power, then falls hard enough to destroy anyone who threatens her. No cheating. No cliffhanger. HEA guaranteed.

I have to disagree with the 5-star ratings. I honestly don't know how Lev ended up falling for Vasilisa. Her comments were supposed to be funny and witty, but they came across to me as sarcastic and bitter, and I got tired of her mouthy attitude. The other issue I had with the writing was the repetitive descriptions and statements. How many times Vasilisa said that she had twenty six first grade students; the wheels on her wheelchair were yellow; the gold glitter was everywhere; the detailed explanation of pain when Vasilisa tried to walk. I didn't need to keep reading the same thing over and over in different chapters.

Fab story

I really enjoyed this very articulate story about a wheelchair bound woman and the man who bought her. Secrets are uncovered and she learns who her family really were. She has always had a price on her head, unbeknownst to her. He just paid that price. Hot read.

I found it to be a surprisingly sweet romance. Different than expected and I liked it.
